Help Me With A Assignment
Jun 25, 2007Hi i'm doing year 12 Stage 2 IT, and one of our major assessment pieces is to design and development a fully documented life cycle task. This year the project has changed dramatically from previous years (Also the IT course) I have not done any work with databases in the past and will greatly appreciate if someone could give me some tips (have done a similar project in the past) or email me some good examples of a fully documented database task.
So far i have decided to build a database based on a computer store. The database will be used to keep records of transactions between cliental and the business. The transactions will be orders made by cliental, for example purchasing computer parts. The orders will be processed between the business and its suppliers.
The documentation must include:
Problem definition (Have posted a thread in the past about this)
Analysis
Design
Development and validation
Evaluation
Job Assignment Design Help
Sep 19, 2006I need some basic help designing an environment where jobs can be assigned to personnel. Typically they'll have the same "job" every day, but if someone is absent then their job must be reassigned, distributed among the others.
The large assigment of job can be done automatically on a daily basis, and the reassignment could be manual. We're dealing with about 120 people, with 5 or so people absent at a time (potentially).
I'd like to track only whether or not the job has been completed. They'll have access to update their record.
I could do this fairly easy except for the fact that they'll have a daily assignment. How to I do this without generating a table without future dates? Or can I?
For some reason I just can't wrap my head around this design working with dates, assignments and completion.
Any help would be appreciated.
