VBA To Send Email From Access - Table Pasted In Message Body
Aug 11, 2011I want to be able to send email and in the body i want the my table be pasted in email body...
Is that possible?
I want to be able to send email and in the body i want the my table be pasted in email body...
Is that possible?
I have created some code to get the records of a query and it puts them in the body of the email but it doesn't format it well for example the email looks like
James | halliwell | 31
Leanne | smith |27
Alexis | smith |8
I would like it to be in a table is this possible,
Code:
Public Function SendEmail()
Dim MyDB As DAO.Database
Dim rst As DAO.Recordset
Set MyDB = CurrentDb
[Code] .....
The code works perfectly except that a random "0" appears in the body of the email. How to correct the code to remove this annoying little "0"?
Private Sub Command62_Click()
Dim strSubject As String
strSubject = Me.LoadNo
DoCmd.SendObject _
[Code] .....
I almost have what I need, but I am not quite there. I am a VBA novice and need help. I couldnt understand some of the code I have searched for on this topic.
I have a query that returns exactly the results I want. By using a SendObject macro I can accomplish sending the message with a .txt file attached. What I want to do is instead of having the attachment I want to send my query "FaxReportQueryReport" in the body of the email. No set address, just a set RE: line of "Today's Deliveries".
With the code below , I send the report: “ESERT4H”, in email body. How I could add yet another report on the same body of the email ?
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "ESERT4H", "HTML(*.html)", "D:Access empESERT4H.html", False, "", 0, acExportQualityScreen
Dim Out As Outlook.Application
Dim NS As Outlook.NameSpace
Dim Folder As MAPIFolder
Dim Mens As MailItem
[Code] ....
I have a subform in Continuous Records format (records displayed are determined by controls on the parent). I would like to create a button that prepares an email and copies the contents of that subform in to the body of an email message.
The email. I have a method to create a new email, set To, CC, Subject and even Message Text.
Code:
strTo = txtName
strCC = txtManager
strSubject = "Something"
strMessage = "Hi, please find below list of details from X Y and Z" & vbnewline & vbnewline
That all works. Thats fine
The Records: I have found ways to have them added as an attachment, either the the SendObject and OutputTo method but I would like the list of records to be converted to a text string so I can include it within my strMessage variable, not include it as an attachment.
Code:
strMessage = strMessage & "Subform Records to go here"...
I have a query (Access 2007) that contains a field named "email" (which contains email addresses, of course). I want to email everyone in the query and they are all going to receive the same message. My email to them doesn't have to be personalized and I don't need to collect data from the recipients. I don't even need a reply to the email I send.
View 12 Replies View RelatedIs there an automatic way of moving the cursor when an outlook email is opened using a VBA event??
Right had a look and haven't managed to google this yet but the background is as follows
I have some code that puts a recordset of people's email into outlook and leaves users with the outlook message open ready for them to append anything they want to the message body.
At the moment the cursor flashes at the very start of the message and users need to scroll down with keys or the mouse to the end before they can add additional text.
I want to automatically move the cursor to the end of the outlook email message opened using a VBA event?
I want to import email data into my access table. The email format is always same and the fields in the email match with the fileds in my table.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am sending an email from a button, and it runs a word merge and then attaches that word document and two others two an email. All that works fine, but in the body of the email the carriage return is not working.
I've tried "vbCrLf", "Chr(13)" and "Chr(10)". but none of them are working in this email. I use vbCrLf all of the time in many other emails and it works fine.
Code:
Public Function SendEmailFinancial()
Dim MessageBody, vAttach1, vAttach2, vAttach3, vTo
Dim appOutLook As Outlook.Application
Dim MailOutLook As Outlook.MailItem
[Code] ...
This is what the email is looking like when it comes out:
Project ID: 2013YG00229 Project Title: Toolbox Talks Construction Safety Guides and Mobile App Program Manager: Shana Peschek I am attaching three (3) forms that are needed in order for the State of Washington to process grant payments for your organization for the purposes of carrying out the activities outlined in your final approved application.
I've set up a piece of VBA code to loop through and email various recipients data, in the form of records within the email body. This works fine, but occasionally produces an error whereby the email output body lines are duplicated spuriously. This only seems to happen when running a large number of email loops.
The data source for the email body content is a table, which for each 'loop' is refreshed with new data by 1) deleting records from that table, and then 2) appending data to the table.
The portion of code for the loop & email:
Do
'Build outputbodytext
DoCmd.OpenQuery ("EmailQ2")
DoCmd.OpenQuery ("EmailQ1")
'set up email
Set rec2 = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset("outputbodytext")
strSendTo = rec2("Email")
[Code] .....
Could you please help me and advise if it's possible to send report from MS Access by mail - having report as a content of an e-mail instead of attachement?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHey, I was wondering how I would tell Access to set bold on my email message. I use this code to generate the email:
Private Sub Email_Click()
strToWhom = [EMAIL]
strMsgBody = "This is my email body, I would like this word bold"
DoCmd.SendObject , , , strToWhom, , , "Subject", strMsgBody, True
End Sub
Thanks for any help provided.
I have a database to send e-mails from access trough Outlook. The issue is that I would like the body of the e-mail to have hyperlinks, colours, bolds and that I can get it from plain text.

How can I make the body to be HTML format, or, can I have a e-mail template storaged in my PC and then indicate to use it whenever the e-mail is sent?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have a database which logs issues that come in to me from the business. The database has been designed to keep all stakeholders informed of there request and for the user to write to the stakeholder with a responce through Access. (The reason for this is so the database keeps track of all responses sent back to the stakeholder.)
However even though i am using a memo box the database will only send about 255 characters and no more. I understand this is the max value for a text box however this should not be the case for a memo box. :eek: :confused:
Is there anything i can do i am currently using the following code:
cmdEmailAssignedTo : On Click
="ID " & [ID] & ": " & [Title] & " Status: " & [status]
My database is almost complete just having this one problem... is it a function within access that can not be resolved?
I will send the database over if needs be...
Thank you in advance,
Jay :eek:

I'm updating a database that automatically sends an email to the drafts folder of Outlook. The developer that created the database used VBA code to call html code written in a table. The html code contains the body of the letter. I've figured out most of it but I need to include a date (one month from the current date) in the body of the letter. Unfortunately I've been researching java script and html all weekend and still haven't managed to figure that one out. Can anyone out there help with this? Also is this normal to include html and javascript in Access, I have never seen it before. Are the benefits good? I have serious studying to do if this is the case.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfternoon all,
This is one I haven't come across before.
I have a table with a list of contact details/company details etc. I would like to send an email to each customer in this list in one fell swoop essentially asking the same question but tailored for that customer (or as easily as possible).
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks.
Is there any code that will allow me to send an e-mail as "High Priority / High Importance" through Access?
Here is the code I am using currently:

I have tried using .Priority = "High" and .Importance = "High", but I keep getting an error stating this object property is invalid. What can I use to set a priority (Low, Normal, High) on the e-mail using the above code?
I am trying to modify the following code to send an automated e-mail using Microsoft Outlook instead of Lotus Notes. We recently switched e-mail clients and now the older code does not work. I have tried to comment in all areas to indicate where the new Outlook code has been inserted.
Private Sub SendEmail(ByVal Subject As String, ByVal Body As String)
'The bulk of this code for Lotus Notes comes from this website:
Dim copy(100) As Variant
Dim strSQL As String
Dim rsTemp As Recordset
Dim Maildb As Object 'The mail database
Dim UserName As String 'The current users notes name
[code]....
Ive recently developed in Emailing from Microsoft Access. When I was researching email methods from Access a thought occurred to me that there should be an A.P.I. that would do this the easy way.All of them did have a web A.P.I. which was all I needed to translate a web request from the other language examples given.
Code:
Dim reportName As String
Dim path As String
Dim fso As Object
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Dim oFile As Object
Dim strAttachments As String
Dim strTransPort As String
Dim byteData() As Byte
[code]....
Any way to enable the user to send an email via access?
I would like to add a "Report Bug" button to my main form where the user is able to type a description of a bug that they encountered and it will be sent to my email.
I'm not sure if this is possible. If not I could always resort to storing these bugs in a table instead.
does anyone know what's Simplest way to send an email from Access using Lotus Notes
(no attachment required)
We are currently using Access 2007 and I've got a database that sends emails out to multiple users depending on the data that was entered. We are about to upgrade to Access 2010 and I am testing it now. I was originally getting runtime error '287' when I was adding addresses to a Recipient object. I got past that by adding the addresses in a string and concatenating. Now I'm getting the error with .Send.
