A friend wanted me to write them a short db for their work, part of which involves emailing attachments automatically off a button. (They informed me at the time that they use microsoft office outlook as their e-mail system)
Not a problem I thought and started writting the db. When it came to running it on his system I found that he accessed the microsoft office outlook via the web, not via his desk top.
This is like nothing I've ever come across before. He goes to an external web address that his company have set up, enters his user and password details and a web page identical to microsoft office outlook opens up. From here he receives / sends his e-mail etc.
I suspect I know the answer to this question but I'm hoping somoene will prove me wrong. Can Access be used in any way so it automatically sends e-mails via a web based system?
I've been searching the threads, but to no avail! (be gentle - a curious beginner in a crazy world of demands!)
My database (table) has a date field, when this date is 'now()' I need to send a reminder email to a 1 collegue and 'cc' 2 others. And automatically change the background colour of the date field; say to red.
A step by step guide would be great, or a nudge in the direction of a good example would help,
Right now, I have a contact database with email addresses, and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to implement a command button that when I click on it, it will do the action as clicking on a link that says
mailto:anyone@anyone.com
If I type the mailto: before the email address, and click on it, it will open the email message window, but I am looking for a way to have the user click on a button and then it opens the email message window.
I have an access database that sends one e-mail to each individual in a table, that works fine. Now I would like to send an e-mail to the leaders of these individuals, however, some leaders have more than individual under their scope so to avoid sending several emails, I would like to know if there is any way I can send one e-mail to the person with the names of the individuals he leads in the body of the e-mail. This is the code I have that sends emails to the individuals:
Code: Private Sub Command2_Click() Dim MyDB As Database Dim MyRS As Recordset
I like this form I have that allows me to send attachment when email is entered. However, I would like to have a list box of Name and Email Address. when selected the email address is now set (same as before but just as a drop down) I type my message etc...But the attachment part I would like to send a specific report (that connects to that email address) so that it will only send jobs connected to that person.
Here is the code below:
Private Sub Email_Output_Click() ' ' Email API Outlook example programming code ' Send email from to Outlook ' Select Case Me.Email_Output_Option
I am trying to generate an email that will send a copy of the last record entered from my table "Main" to a departement email, based on the department field entry on my form.
I know that I can send emails both thru outlook as well as direct. Would prefer to sent the direct (without opening outlook). Here is what I'm working with:Table with record informaiton called "Main"
Form called "Action Entry" which contains the information that I would like to send- part of which is a feild called "Assigned To" which is a list of departemnts linked to a secondary table called "departments"
Table called " departments" which contains the following Fields: ID, Departments, Email. What I would like to happen is when I hit the exit button on my form, an email goes out to the "Assigned Department" email address associated to the select departmet, that shows the information in the form (which i expect will be a report saved as PDF). I understand some of the VB code to create an email, but don't knwo how to tell it to select the correct email based on the Department selected on the form.
I am trying to send a report to a list of employees. I have a query that generates the report into the layout I want and includes the e-mail address of who the recipient should be. The report looks something like this:
I need to send, for each row in the query, this report based on the results of that particular row. How would I go about making a e-mail template that would be used, or at least sending the report as a PDF attachment? I've seen the sendObject method.
I'm trying to send at report based on a Query from a specific form.
Everything is (almost) working fine, except the fact that I can't get a criteria into DoCmd.SendObject method.
My code is:
Private Sub Kommandoknap212_Click() On Error GoTo MailTilGodkendelse_Err DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, 5, , acMenuVer70 Dim MailAtt As String Dim intSearch As String
I have got a form (name: SearchForm) that displays results of a query (name: AircraftSearch). It is a continuous form displaying multiple results of a search done by the query. I need to be able to send an e-mail to multiple recipients chosen from results displayed on the form.
One of the form's field (a text box called: EmailToOperator) is containing e-mail address to an aircraft operator selected by the underlying query. I need to be able to place a check box button (or something similar) that is going to select the e-mail address. The tricky part is to have multiple check boxes allocated for each record displayed on the form and have them working independently.
The second task is sending a one message (via Microsoft Outlook 2010) to chosen multiple recipients (with no attachments) having the recipients' addresses not visible to each other.
I am trying to make an automation in order generate reports based on query ( person name, person email address ) , export them to a folder in PDF and then send them one by one to each person email address.
What is happening:
- the reports are generated and exported fine - the email are sent to the right addresses but the first person receives the correct report , the second person receives the report from the first person plus its own report and so on.
Here is my code :
Private Sub MakeReportSendEmail_Click() Dim MyDB As DAO.Database Dim MyRS As DAO.Recordset Dim strSQL As String Dim strRptName As String
I've setup a selection form that returns a specific list of email addresses in a query.
What I can't work out is how to press a button and have the email addresses populate the To: field in a blank Outlook email - I don't need any bells or whistles.
VBA Code to go in the on double_click event of a name field in a Subform bound to a table. The subform is just a copy of a data table and within the subform view, When the field "employee name" which contains e.g. John is double clicked, I would like access to Lookup and get John's email in the employee table under field "Email" and launch outlook application and insert it into the To field.
I assume hyperlinking the field can also achieve this similar to what excel does but I am fast learning that what is standard functionality in excel is a whole another story in Access..
I have a query (Access 2007) that contains a field named "email" (which contains email addresses, of course). I want to email everyone in the query and they are all going to receive the same message. My email to them doesn't have to be personalized and I don't need to collect data from the recipients. I don't even need a reply to the email I send.
I have a form which has a button to email the data out in a standard email message.
Private Sub Command60_Click() Dim MyDb As dao.Database Dim rsEmail As dao.Recordset Dim sToName As String Dim sSubject As String Dim sMessageBody As String
[code]...
This works well enough, however, FIELDS 11 through to 16 contain the venue address. This is all we ll and good if every field of the venue address is populated. here are times when not all of the fields are populated, for instance, the address might only be 5 lines.I know I can do this using IIf statements on a report, but how can i achieve the same thing for the email.
I have a database that I can use to create a query, grouping companies by city. I then want to send a specific email I have created in outlook to all of the email addresses in the query.I do not need to include names.
I have made a query with the name "Confirmation" and it is setup like this:
Name trainee Email Training John John@mail.com Tr one Mary Mary@mail.com Tr two
I also made a button in a report with the title "Send Mail" now is my goal that if i press that button automatically multiple e-mail message's will be generated with data from people in that query. So if click on that "Send Email" button i want two different mails messages generated that will be send to John@mail.com and Mary@mail.com with in the mail body their data.
I am currently using vb code to send an email in Access on the click of a button. I want the database user to be able to enter the recipient in a text box [ToEmail] which is on form [GroupStockProfiler]. However, I'm unsure how to put this into my code. I currently have the following which doesn't work (unless I put a specific email after 'To'):
I want to automate an email to include the senders email addres with some text in the body of the email.
Code: Private Sub send_mail_Click() Dim olApp As Object Dim objMail As Object On Error Resume Next 'Keep going if there is an error Set olApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application") 'See if Outlook is open
I have an automated email system (Lotus Notes) in a Access database I have created and am looking for the code needed to add up to 3 c.c addresses into an email prior to sending automatically.
The code I have to send the email to the To: individual is all working but what code I need to add and where for the c.c addresses of which there could be 1, 2 or 3. The control for To address is EmailTo = CustCopyEmail The controls for the 3 c.c emails are cc_EmailAddress, cc_EmailAddress1 and cc_EmailAddress2.
Here's the code I have:
Private Sub SEND_CC_Click() ' Set up the objects required for Automation into Lotus Notes. Dim Maildb As Object 'The mail database. Dim Session As Object 'The Lotus Notes session. Dim MailDoc As Object 'The mail document itself. Dim UserName As String 'The current users Lotus Notes name.
I have a parameter query for which the parameter is based on a form field entry (i wanted to avoid the dialog box popping up).
No problems with this....however, I want to create a chart based on the same query however, i get the following error message because it does not recognise the query parameter.
Error Message: The Microsoft Jet database engine does not recognise '[Forms]![frmChooseDTDate]!DateOccured' as a valid field name or expression.
I have a combo named cbogroup. I have a tblGroup with several records (active, non-active, nursery, etc.). One of the records is *ALL*. Using the CboGroup the user can pick any of the records. Howeverr, if they pick the *ALL* record, I want the query to pull up animalID based on all records in the TblGroup. If another record is picked (i.e. nursery), then the query will pull up only animalIDs that are in the 'Nursery'.Can I put a (iff then) in a query in order to differentiate a query based on all group records or a query based on only one record?
I have a form which uses a parameter based query to present an individual senior doctor with a list of names for of individual juniors to provide an assessment report on. When the first form opens the user enters their RespondentID.
Once senior has decided which names to comment on I have another form which has the questions to be answered which is opened by clicking a button on the first form.
How can I pass a parameter from the first form to the second so that only the records relevant to that senior doctor are displayed? The underlying table has 60 senior doctors and 20 junior doctors. The senior doctor is identified by the field RespondentID in the first form. I've tried putting a WhereClause in the FormOpen command but I still get a dialogue box asking for the parameter RespondentID when the second form is opened.
I have a Access database with a field that lists emails. What I want to do is somehow tie it to my outlook so that I can email all of the people in that list. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
