I have a list of jobs for a report in which there are multiple jobs per page. When there is a page break in the report some jobs are being cut off and then started on the next page. I do not want any information from a job to be seperated by a page break. I just want a page break to occur after a full job listing. I don't mind if the page is short, just don't want any jobs broken up. Is there a way to accomplish this??? Thanks.
I have a report that has 3 sub reports in the main report but for now I will just concentrate on my main report and my first sub report. My first subreport is a bit of a nightmare as it pages and pages of just text well 3 pages. I have typed all the text in labels n the sub report and I have inserted a page break control when I run the sub report without the main report the page breaks are there when I run the sub report from the main report the breaks have gone. Any idea's how to fix this one. So I have a hughe details section with 3 page breaks that only work on the sub report that has not been opened from the main report. Once I try to open the sub report from the main report I lose my page breaks in the details section of the sub report. Hope this make sense. Thanks PWF
I have a report based on main database that list all "Sites" by Manager, when i open the report it gives me all the details that I want, what I would now like to do is page break at the end of each manager, in addition the each record as a "completed" and "active" field I only want to show on the report the "Active" Records. ie:- After it reports all the Active marked sites for 1 manager is starts the second manager on a new page, can this be done? and how do I do it?
I have small database in ms access which i am using for invoice creation. When invoice is created i save it as PDF. I would like merge another single Page PDF along with the report as 2nd page so end report is 2 page PDF.
Second how can i get 1 PDF from 2 ms access reports.
I have an input form for production. I need to be able to have a unbound box look at the start time and end time. I need it to determine if the times fall during a break or lunch. My fields in my table are - ID, Start Time, End Time. Example of what I need the control source formula to do is this. If I start at 6:00 AM and work till 10:00.AM and my break is Start Time 9:00 AM... End Time 9:10 AM. I need it to then show 10 in the box as result of the break. I have this so far as in my formula builder.
IIF([Start Time]<9:00 AM AND [End Time]<9:10 AM, 10, 0)
When I press enter it says I have an syntax error and I have checked to make sure the fields are correct. Also how would I go about adding on to this formula to add a lunch break on to it.
I print a report onto labels (Avery 5960: 3 columns of 10 labels on a letter sized piece of paper). The report and labels print fine BUT...
I need physical page breaks between certain sections. When I click on "keep whole group together on one page" in the "group by" section of the report, it starts a new COLUMN of labels (which Access sees as a new page), but does not force an actual new piece of paper.
I am building a database where one Form displays records from 14 different tables. For some reason, when I recently try to add a field on to a form from a new table, the ENTIRE form loses the record source, and every single field that is already on the form gets that green dot in the corner with errors surrounding a record source that cannot be found. What am I doing wrong? Am I exceeding some limitations with forms?
I created a form with a memo field. Data is entered. How do I get the data to print on the report on separate lines rather than one continuous paragraph? For example: Entered in form:
2/1/15 visit to house. 2/2/15 ordered new locks for doors. 2/5/15 Locks installed.
Print view on Report:
2/1/15 visit to house. 2/2/15 ordered new locks 2/5/15 locks in stalled.
I have a database with a form and a sub form it works great. However I needed to add a tab or page to the sub form when I returned to the form view the sub form is there but you cant see anything. change back to design view and its there. I didn't change any properties on the sub form. and If I delete the page I added it works just like it did before I added it. also the sub form is linked to the main form master and child. would I have to link the tab also??
I have an asset data base to generate individual asset detail reports with a sub report on the same page listing similar assets from a separate query. I have set the master and child fields, one to many. This works perfectly for the first two assets (pages), however the sub report stops showing data on the third asset (page).
I have two tables that need to be updated in tandem from a single access-page, by entering previously non-existent data. One contains a contractor ID, and the name of the contractor; The other contains details of contracts, with the name of the Contractor selected from a drop-down box that draws its contents from the other table.
I have a data access page with an always visible drop-down box that shows contractors, and if I select one, it displays all contracts entered. This unfortunately means I cannot easily add new contractors, since they have no pre-existing contracts to display the details, and allow entering, and I cannot make the details fields permanently available.
Right now, I can add new contracts to those contractors who have at least one in the system already, but I'm unable to add new contractors. My aim is to have a single page add the contract data, and new contractors. Having a hyperlink open a new page that allows the adding of new contractors is also acceptable, but no coding, please, cause I suck at that...:(
I would like to add a page to a tab form when a certain button is clicked. I don't want to use the visible/hide solution. So I already found out that this can only be done in design view. I am using the following code:
Code:
Private Sub cmd_StrategyAdd_Click() DoCmd.OpenForm "Form1", acDesign Me.tabMain.Pages.Add DoCmd.OpenForm "Form1", acNormal End Sub
I am getting the error: Run-time error 2467. The expression you entered refers to an object that is closed or doesn't exist.I am sure the name of my tab form is tabMain.
I am modifying an existing form that has some tabbed pages(subforms) in it and I am wanting to know how to add another page. I have created another subform that I am wanting to add to this main form as another tabbed page.
I'm working on a pretty serious report (at least for me)...I have 3 sub-reports inside, and the point of this is to use VBA and loop through several conditions (in the underlying queries), and print out in a batch for the user. When I add a page number footer it adds about 3 seconds to the processing time for a 14 page report. That doesn't sound like a whole lot, but when I loop through and process this 12 times, that's a lot of added time for the user...(the last thing I want to hear is it's slow!)
So, would it be faster if I set the page numbers in VBA? What event would I use? On Load?!? Also, how would I find the page number variables in VBA?
Question: I have got one report showing the details and one report showing the totals of these details. How do I combine this to one report showing the totals at the end of the details, ie. not on every page?
I am trying (an failing) to create a report which best fits into A4 size paper. Requirement is border all arround.
I am attaching a sample report output of my db in which
See, Additional Techno-Commercial and below data are in Report footer. So problem is if there is single result in details above footer, then this footer comes up and report covers only half of page.
What is required is footer should be a fixed lower position and if data above is less it should be blank but a border should be there.
Hi I have created some reports but find difficult to keep permanganate page set up for that reports. I go to design view and do page setup with required margin and Portrait or Landscape set up and preview that reports looks fine. After saving again I check still its fine but once I close that database and reopen again some of reports page setup becomes Portrait with 1" margin on all sides (Not All reports). I cannot solve this. Can any one help?? Funny part is even I copy that report and change data source of that report it changes page setup
I have a report that is several pages long, the page footer I want to show only on the last page, how can I work out a counter/indicator to know which is the last page and be able to set the footer fields to visible
Viewing a report from an Access Webpage... I can not, unlike from a form, create a button to view a report. Is there anyway around this? Is there no functionality to display the report as an html page or so?
I have several reports in my system. Some are landscape and some are portrait. Occasionally the landcape ones switch to portrait taking up two pages each. In preview mode it is not so bad that the user can reset the page size, but when one is sent to print this is most certainly annoying.
I need to print data on a pre-printed letter-sized piece of paper that will be cut horizontally into three identical 8.5" x 3.667" forms.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to format a report to get the data in the right spots. I've tried messing with the margins, height of the detail area, columns...everything I can think of. It seems I can get the data to print in the right spot on the top form but neither of the other forms and/or on the top two but not on the bottom at all.
