Changing Text Colour Of Labels On Activate

Hi, im working on my school project for A2.
When the user clicks on say; the customer ID dropdown menu, i want the label text on the right of it to get darker (make it more visible). How can i do this?

Hi all,
I'd like to change the colour of the text in a command button when the user click the button, but for the text to return to it's original colour when the botton pops back up.
I'm assuming you use the following commands:
Private Sub cmdClose_MouseDown(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)

I have a report that prints labels (similar to avery labels) which pulls data from a query. These labels are all unique and vary in length. Due to the length variance, I want the font size to get smaller for labels with more characters. I want the text to go down to another line when necessary.
In my report under the OnPage Event Procedure I wrote this:
Private Sub Report_Page()
If Len(Text2) > 20 Then Text2.FontSize = 8
If Len(Text2) > 10 And Len(Text2) < 21 Then Text2.FontSize = 10
If Len(Text2) < 11 Then Text2.FontSize = 14
End Sub
This works to some degree but the problem is that once there is a longer label, all of the proceeding labels are resized & the longer label that should have been resized was not.
Is there another place I should be writing this code? I looked under events for the textbox but there doesn't seem to be anything that would work since none of them would trigger when printing labels

Hi
I have a problem where the user has certain contraints in colour.
I am trying to change all the colours of labels in the database to purple.
Is there any way to declare it once in the database and all label statements will pick up the new colour. Saves me going through every form. Also there are other users who want to use the database with black.

I have an option group with 4 options and I want them to display traffic light colours when an option is clicked. So if option 4 is clicked it displays red, if option 1 is clicked it displays green, however, once clicked the colours remain, and dont disappear when I click another option and they remain for all records.

HI all, the objective is to grey out an item within a listbox, where the id number is the same in another sub form. The sub form is called contacts and the list is called list15. the unique id that is linking the two is SWD.

Hi there guys,
I need a little help on a little situation. Basically, my client for my school project wants to be able to see graphically if orders sent to their bookstore have been processed or not. So i suggested a change of cololour of the fields.
Now I have created a Form containing the orders as they are stored in a list box, (both already processed and unprocessed orders), now I want to be able to allow each item in the list box to be either Red (if unprocessed) or green (if processed) so the user can see which ones they need to deal with. Im guessing this would take some VB, but if anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it :).
PS, if you do provide VB could you please explain a little of whats going on as i have to annotate all the code I use and im not too profficient in VB

I'm opening a form in snapshot view and would like the background colour of all the fields in the form to be a dark colour to show that it is in snapshot. the user then clicks Amend and the background colour would change to something lighter to show they can amend the record. Is there any way of on the OnClick event of the Amend button change all the fields (and there's lots) at once without having to name them all individually, ie:
Me.text1.background = whatever
me.text2.background = whatever

Well, I got asked to do this with a datasheet view today, and I found after searching the forum that I'm not sure how to do it, and no one else seems to have done this either.
Basically I need to flag a row in a datasheet subform dependant on if a date field is more than 1 month ago and if the status field is set to pending. I looked at conditional formatting, but that only seems to let me set a condition on a single field at a time.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Here, what I am trying to learn, that background of the form change its colour automatically after sometime let say 1 min or after 2 min
I find the link on the web where more than 500 colour code are available, but not sure, how I can use [URL] ....
I can put this command on form_load()
Me.Detail.BackColor = ?????????
but question is how i can bring other colour into loop
Plus, if the user want to do any work on the same form, will this loop also allow the user to do any work, I mean form should not be stuck up in the loop of changing a colour...

I have a Lookup field/combo box and want to have the cell colour change if a certain word is chosen. if not then the cells stay the same.
i.e., if "cancelled" the cell turns red, if any of the other two options are chosen, then leave as is.

I have a ComboBox linked to a table which allows 1,2,3,4,0 to be selected!
I want to place a Lable on the same form that reads the data in the ComboBox and displays a lable
Example: 0 = “N/A”
1 = Emergency Response
2 = Health Care
Etc.
As I scroll through all my records, the ComboBox has the value 0 to 4!
Is this possible!
I have being at it for days now! And don’t receive error debug msg! but then again , nothing happens
Any clues or ideas on how to do this !

I would like to get a third party to edit a database and record those edits by changing the colour of the font. I know this can be done in layout mode, but it changes the font in all records, I only wish to change the font colour in one record, how I can do this, without changing all the records in the database.

I have created a report to display a bill of materials (boms). The report works as I have designed. I have also figured out how to filter the report using the docmd.openreport vbasic call with filters. This works fine. I use a form to select the filtering I need in the form of 2 Listboxes populated from tables. The form opens, the report generates and displays in preview mode. What I cannot do is the change the title text (Text Label on the report Header). I would like to use the selected items in the listboxes as sources of text for these controls on the report so I can use the report over and over for different boms. ANy help would be greatly appreciated! Vbasic I hope!

i have a text box which displays the current stock level of an item, when the current stock level reaches 1 i need the font to change colour from black to red.
for example, if the stock is 2 - font is black
if one item is sold the stock will become 1 - font changes to red
how do i go about this? any help is VERY VERY welcomed and muchly appreciated. thanx alot.

Hi,
I am building a stock control database. I have a form called [products]. On this form are two fields. One called [ProdReorder], the other [UnitsOnHand].
[UnitsOnHand] is displayed form a subform called [ProductsSubform].
What I want to know is: What code would I enter (& where) so if the [UnitsOnHand] value is less than the [ProdReorder] value it will display the value in red?
Eg: Reorder value is 5
I have 10 motors on stock (UnitsOnHand) = Text is black.
If I have 4 motors on stock = Text is Red.
How can this be done? any advice welcome. PS. my vba skills are weak.

I am learning access on my own using MS Press step by step manual and it tells me to hold down the shift key while selecting the text boxes that are next to the labels, but when I do the labels get selected also . how do I disconnect the labels from the text boxes in order to insert space between the labels and the text boxes as it intructs me to in the book. I am able to select the labels separately, but it will not allow the text to be selected separately.

I have a problem with the connection between the labels and fields in designing my form.Is there a command do eliminate the association between the two? If not I was thinking if there is a problem to delete the labels and make new ones but by doing this Access (2010) says the label is unassociated.

I apologise in advance for my newbish question - I'm very green at Access. I'm trying to build a contact database for our company that lists Jobs done by customer.
I'll confess I "borrowed" the sample database provided with Access to help me out - which has worked well up until this issue.
The problem I am having is when I am working on our "Client Service History" form. (Basically the Workorders by Customer from the template - I can take a screen grab or something if it helps).
This form includes a sub-table which lists the WorkOrder ID by customer, the Date Entered, the Job Type, the Engineer and whether it was chargeable. The latter three options are choices controlled by combo boxes from the Workorders Form/Table. Where the status for "Chargeable" always comes up correctly, the Job Type and Engineer always show a number - which I presume is the ID of the label of each type - I.e. "5" refers to "Warranty Repair".
There are separate Data Tables for Engineers (EmployeeID) and Job Types (JobTypes). How do I get it to display each item correctly; as a summary of jobs done for each customer?
Any help would be particularly appreciated!!! :D
