Nov 30, 2005Hi, Im currently creating a database for an A-Level project.
I am required to create a database for a real company.
They have asked me to stop the right click function on forms.
I have disabled almost every feature on the forms, however i cannot find a way to disable right click.
Please help.

My main form (frmMain) is displayed when the database opens. As you can see, I am hiding the ribbon and the navigation pane from users. I also want to prevent users from right clicking on the form and opening it in Design view - trying to prevent any monkey business. However, the line:Me. ShortcutMenu = False
is not preventing users from right clicking on the form and getting the shortcut menu and going into Design view.If I go to Options and uncheck: "Allow Default Shortcut Menus" then I lose the ability to print reports because I have the ribbon hidden and this will not allow right click on reports.Converting to .accde is not an option at this time.
Disable One Line In Subform
Dec 10, 2004i have a form with a subform. the first line of the subform is supposed to mirror some of the data filled in the form. as soon as the appropriate data is filled in the main form, i would like the first line of the subform to reflect this sama data. i also want this first line of the subform to be disabled so that users cannot have different data between the main form and this first line....
is this possible? how would i disable just this first line? is there any function to disable it?

Disable Subform When Creating Record In Parent
Jul 27, 2004I'm having difficulty controlling data entry to (disabling) a subform when a new record is being added to the parent form. I can set the subform to be disabled if there is no index value in the parent form (this allows the subform to function for existing records) but then the user has to create the parent record and move off of that record and then return to it in order to add child records to the subform. This is basically a create new records/data entry problem and I'm feeling pretty stupid. There must be a way to handle this...

May 20, 2015I have written code to look up a value in a table that then enables or disables a subform in my main form. The code works, but I know it is now as efficient as it can be. The main problem is that I have multiple values that determine if the subform should be enabled or disabled. I would like to use an IN statement but I'm pretty sure this doesn't work for Dlookup. Below is an example of the code I currently have:

Subform Click Event
Mar 16, 2006I'm trying to code an event that would occur when a user double-clicks on the Record Selector of a subform. I want it to then open a form that would provide additional details about the record selected in the subform. I can't find documentation to tell me (1) where to put the code, i.e. subform double-click event vs. subform detail double-click event, etc.; (2) how to reference the record id of the selected record for use in the filter for the form that is going to be opened (the underlying query contains the ID for the record). Can anyone help or point me to documentation?

Aug 16, 2006I all I have looked in the forum but can't find anything that matches I have a form containing a subform called eventswich shows some events in date order, as I have too many information on the table events I could not put them all in the subform if not only the essential information, what I need is if I double click on the field "DATE" it would open the "EVENT" form and show me all the information contained in the record.At the present time I have the filed SELECT RECORD set to NO on the form properties!

Basically a text string is entered in the txtbox and a list of matching records shows up in lstsearch box. One selects the desired record in the lstsearch and clicks on the "Go to project" button and the appropriate form (aka "Project main") and subform (aka Project History) open up with the desired record and record history.
What would I need to add to lstsearch so the users can double-click on the record to open it instead of selecting it and clicking on the "Go to project" button?

Sending Click Event On Subform To Main Form
Oct 24, 2004This may be a really simple problem but it has me stumped. Working in Access 2002, I have a form with a subform (continuous). When the user clicks on a textbox in the subform, I need to capture the value and pass it to the main form so that it can be used to create a filter for yet another subform (not nested) on the main form. I have a form build up with a subform in access 2003. Then I have an Insert button on this form which when clicked opens another form which is build up with a combo box. Now, when I select a field for example (Student_ID) from the combo box I would like to be in a position to click it once (the respective student_ID) so that the student_ID in that field is transferred to the subform of the initial form, which has a Student_ID field to store the respective student_ID in the table with the Subform.
How can I do that?

May 4, 2014I have a mainform with a combobox and a button. What i want is when i click on the combobox and then on the button I want that the textbox in the subform automatically fill in.
The mainform name is FrmTakenInvoerenEnToewijzenAanEenMonteur,
The combobox name is Keuzelijst1,
The subform name is SubTakenInvoeren,
And the textbox name is txtOpdrachtnr.
I tried this code in on button click:

But that doesn't work.
