I use Duplicates Wizard to run about 14 queries which will show all possible combinations of duplicated records in an access table. Can anyone tell me how to add an extra column in reports 2 onwards displaying either a "yes" or a blank cell, being the answer to the question "does this record appear in any previous reports?"
I have a table with the following fields; Row; AnimalID; Weight: Date_Weighed (see attached screenshot example).
I would like to make a query that gives me the percentage weight loss/gain since the last time a particular animal was weighed. For example, animal AAA gained 100% between 2014/01/01 and 2014/02/01. Animal CCC gained 0% between 2014/02/01 and 2014/03/01.
I plan to use this to create a pop-up that informs me if an animal had lost over 15% of its bodyweight since the last time it was weighed, indicating either a loss of body condition, or that a female has given birth.
Basically what I have is a form where operators can input certain information about a production process, in particular the kg input which has gone into the 'basket'. However this is divided by customer order number and sometimes more than one customers order is placed into the same basket. This means that the weight of the record is not representative of the weight in the basket, and it is the weight of the basket which determines efficiency in the process.
Each basket is designated a 'Disc Number' which is put in the basket so the parts contained can be identified after the process. What I am trying to do is right a code, whether in my table or form (or somehow creating a query) which compares the disc number of the previous record (or previous 2 or 3) and if they are the same the totals are combined. Each record the user places has a hidden ID which keeps them in order, and the records with the same disc number will always be entered after one another in that sequence.
How would I be able to code something to deal with this and where would I put it?The table in question which contains the records is called Thetatbl and then form it links to is Thetafrm. The weight of each record is contained in Orderkgtxt.
I have a main form EMPLOYEE RECORDS with employees information, with a Subform, where pay records are entered. Mysubform always shows record 1 of 1, and I cannot scroll back to see previous records. How can I see the previous entries.
I have a custom command button cmdPreviousRec and cmdNextRec for navigation, but when i click the cmdPreviousRec its not navigating to the records and the cmdNextRec is up to 2nd record only.
Code below is the i've working:
Private Sub cmdNextRec_Click() On Error Resume Next Set db = CurrentDb Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT * FROM tblAMHMace") If Not rs.EOF Then rs.MoveNext
I have a table (tblStats). The user enters his current weight in a field named Wt. There are 2 other fields in the table named WkLoss and TTDLoss. These two fields are intended to be calculated. What I am trying to do is when the user enters his current weekly weight figure into the Wt field, I want the field WkLoss to get the user's weight from the previous record and place the difference in the field WkLoss. Also I would like to keep a total to date in the TTDLoss field.
So far this has been my attempt. Code:Public Sub setWeight()Dim rs As DAO.RecordsetDim Startval As DoubleStartval = 190Set rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset("tblStats")'Select records to be updatedSet rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset _("SELECT * FROM tblStats ") rs.MoveFirst Do rs.Edit'field to update rs.Fields("WkLoss") = Startval rs.Update rs.MoveNext'increment step value Startval = WkLoss - Wt Loop Until rs.EOF rs.Close Set rs = Nothing End Sub All I get is the value 190 placed in the first record and all zeros in the subsequent records. Also I don't have a clue as to how to get the Total To Date field to calculate.
Any help would be appreciated Thanks for your time.
I have a form that has four combo boxes on it that enable the user to select entrants in a golf tournament for tee off times and tee. (I have attached part of this database to this post) It all works fine but after selecting the first player in the first combo box and then selecting the second combo player I would like the player selected previously not to show up. Is this possible or do I have to rethink the way players are selected.
I have this estimate database for a construction company. In this database I calculate how much will a project cost. It's pretty much complete the only problem that I have is trying to figure out how to update the cost of a trade without affecting older records
Example let's say we have a painter that makes $15/hr in project A,B,C,D,E we decide to give him a raise so project F would have a new amount for painter. The problem with that is that it will affect record A-E
I don't want that my department wants to go back and view a history of records. Also take a look at my database it's my first time creating one ...
I want subtrack a value on the current record from the previous record and display the result in text box in subform datasheet. This is done during data entry. The calculation works most of the time and randomly it returns the wrong value. I have the code in an after update event after I enter a number. Here is what my code looks like:
I made a form for users to go back and see saved records as and when required. However my cascading combo box are not showing the saved information. Information is saved in back end.
I am creating a Stock investment Profit and Loss Query, therefore I need to get the prices from the last day. The problem is that the last day can be a holliday or weekend when the market is closed and when it happens the query returns no price.
My question is: Is there any function or any other way I can get the last day DATE from a range of dates?
Im working on a make-table query that harvest records for calculation that span a "rolling" 13 week history... my problem is that the query will work if it doesn't have to retrieve work weeks that are prior to the new year. For example, right now is the tenth week of this year so i need to grab the previous 9 weeks of history plus 4 weeks of the prior year. then next week when the query is ran we will be in the 11th work week of the year therefor i will need to harvest the past 10 week plus 3 week of the preivious year. the query works if you don't have to span accross calendar years. here is the SQL of the query below the problem area is in underlined in bold type: SELECT PORVPHIS.VENDOR_ID, PORVPHIS.VEND_NAME, [Expr2] AS [Fiscal Year], DatePart("yyyy",[DATE_RECV]) AS Expr2, DatePart("ww",[DATE_RECV]) AS Expr1, PORVPHIS.QTY_RECVD, PORVPHIS.PO_UNT_PRC, [PO_UNT_PRC]*[qty_recvd] AS [Total Price], [Expr1] AS [Fiscal Week], IIf([fiscal week]=[LowWeek] And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 1, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+1 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 2, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+2 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 3, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+3 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 4, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+4 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 5, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+5 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 6, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+6 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 7, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+7 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 8, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+8 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 9, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+9 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 10, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+10 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 11, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+11 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 12, IIf([fiscal Week]=[LowWeek]+12 And [Expr3]<>0,[total price],0) AS 13, DatePart("ww",Now())-13 AS LowWeek, IIf([fiscal Week]>=[LowWeek] And [fiscal year]<>DatePart("yyyy",Now()),0,[LowWeek]) AS Expr3, [LowWeek] AS week1, [LowWeek]+1 AS week2, [LowWeek]+2 AS week3, [LowWeek]+3 AS week4, [LowWeek]+4 AS week5, [LowWeek]+5 AS week6, [LowWeek]+6 AS week7, [LowWeek]+7 AS week8, [LowWeek]+8 AS week9, [LowWeek]+9 AS week10, [LowWeek]+10 AS week11, [LowWeek]+11 AS week12, [LowWeek]+12 AS week13, PORVPHIS.DATE_RECV, IIf([Expr4]="AS8819" Or [Expr4]="CO1870" Or [Expr4]="GV2510" Or [Expr4]="MC3105",[VEND_NAME],Null) AS ID, PORVPHIS.VENDOR_ID AS Expr4 INTO Tporv

I hope some one can help me......you can email me by markphillipsii@bellsouth.net or mphillips@dccabinetry.com
I'm trying to make it a little further with my new call answering database at work.
Basically it consists of a main form that has a button leading to a call answering form for each business that we represent. it also has a text box that displays the number of the caller when the telephone picks up, the correct call answering screen is also popped by the telephone software and a macro whenever the phone is answered.
I've got code in place that automatically puts the date and time in the correct field and also copy the incoming telephone number from the main form into the caller number field on the call answering form.
I'd like to take this automation a little further now and get the form to autopopulate the caller details if that caller has called before (we get a lot of calls from the same people) so i'd like to make the form search the table it's linked to for the incoming phone number and to fill in the name, email, company etc... for the caller according to the previous record.
The code for the 2 forms i've currently got setup (the switchboard and one call answering screen) are as follows
Switchboard:-
Code: Option Compare Database Dim WithEvents MaxxCom As Metro_MaxxCom_CTI_COM_API.CTI Private Sub cmd_onnet_Click() DoCmd.OpenForm FormName:="On_Net_Communications" End Sub
I currently have a table where we are logging a task number against a date and time for each employees to track activity. What I am looking to do is in a query have access lookup the previous reference number for the employee before the date/time of the individual record but on the same day
to show something like Staff 1 08/08/2015 12:00 Ref:1234 Previous Ref: Null Staff 1 09/08/2015 14:00 Ref: 3456 Previous Ref: Null Staff 1 09/08/2015 15:00 Ref: 7891 Previous Ref: 3456
Fields are Employee DTActStart - this is when task started DTActEnd - this is when activity ended Task ID - Reference for task (unique field)
I've tried seaching forums (Used DMax and Lookup) but doesnt find the most recent record before the in view record/I'm thinking a query is the best way so that when Print a report of tasks run of tasks will then show
In words, read_date would list dates for the current year. Second column of query would give read_value for current year. Third column would give read_value for same day/month of previous year.
Have thought about using Dlookup to get value one year back, but not sure if is the best approach?
I have a table that will have ITEMID as unique field but location could have save values. I tried using DLOOKUP to look at the value for the previous record to see if I need that value is same as current, however, since my data query are text formats, I am unable to. I get a message of mismatch data type. apply my query to look at sorted table by Location and ITEMID and if previous location = location, then my area=0?
I've recently decided to move a database that had all its information on 1 table and divided it into multiple tables.
Attached is the relationship as well as the form.
The issue I have is that when I click the form, it only shows a blank record with none of previous records.
Data entry is already set to NO. I'm wondering if it's an issue with my relationships, tblStudioDescription is the parent table and the others are child tables so I linked them with the ID and set referential integrity.
I've got stuck in preparation of this sales query. The primary sales table contains a mix of Canadian and the US detail invoice sales records. All sales records are in their native currencies The secondary lookup table contains daily US/CAN foreign exchange rates (FX).
I need to multiply every $US sales record (marked with U) with the FX rate in order to convert it to the Canadian currency. Unfortunately, this FX lookup table is missing over 50 daily rates in the last two years and as a result I cannot match them date-by-date with the sales table.
As a workaround, it is acceptable to use the previous FX rate in the table. The previous rate can be one or more days before the transaction occurred.
Attached is a sample database with the query that I've already built. The query contains two sample US records that are missing the FX rate on Jan 6. The FX rate of $1.0639 that needs to be applied to it should come from Jan 3rd entry.

I have a database where I need to record student data, specifically marks and absenteeism. The marks are recorded each term as a running total. I have a final mark which needs to be equal to the 4th term mark.
I also need to record the number of days absent each term with a total at the end of the year.
My problem is that the term 4 mark is a in the previous record and the total days absent needs to be the total of the previous 4 records (term 1 - 4).
I using a create table query and an update query but that was a no go.
I want to get the datediff of the last returned date from vacation and the current vacation start date. But how to get difference from the previous record's date to this current record's date. I want to show date difference in an unbound textbox. I have a contiuous form which shows all vacation list of employees. It shows how many times he went vacations and when he went and when he returned.
I have a form that is used to book a new event for a client who is already in the database.Within that form I have a subform that is based on a query which displays information from that client's previous event. I did this using a solution found in the following thread: URL...It is based on pulling the second to last record that is related to the current client. It works perfectly when booking a new event that has taken place on a previous date. However, if the previous event occured on that same date (but at a previous time), it doesn't register.
I would prefer a query that would pull the record previous to the current one, instead of pulling the second to last record out of all that client's events.it would also mean that if more events are booked, then a past event is opened in a form, the sub forms in that form will display the event just prior to the current record.
Once the selected item had been entered, i want the Current_Balance of previous entry of that item to be forwarded automatically in Previous_Balance field. Is it possible? I have at least 100 types of items.
Income | Outcome | Transport | Total Income | Date Total Income (N) = Income (N) + Transport (N-1) Total income equals income from that day + transport from previous day
Transport (N) = Total Income (N) - Outcome (N) Transport from previous day equals Total Income minus outcome
How can I calculate the transport from previous day to sum to next day total income?
