Report Prints With Gray Background- Wasting Ink

Hi,
I'm running into a problem where parts of a Report are printing with a gray background. Not all of the report does this, just certain sections. Background colors aren't set to anything.

problem is.. the print IS from a report-- and I don't want to see a color on screen, I want it to NOT print gray.
any suggestions where to start?

I have a database that is uses a job number as the primary key, on a form that has been querried from this key to have a single button to print the report, from the number that is held in the txtbox would I have to create this in the on click properties and if so please help!

I have a report that's oriented landscape. I have scaled and placed everything to fit on a 11" x 8.5" page (the current dimensions of the report are 10.375" x 7.75"). The Layout view shows that everything fits within the borders.
Despite all of this, Print view insists on including a second, blank page. And since the general user will initially be viewing it in Report view (which doesn't indicate 2 pages), then printing if they so desire, they won't know there's a blank page.If not, I'll just tell people to make sure to only print page 1 in the printer dialog box.

I have an access report that consists of numerous other subreports. My issue is that one last blank page prints at the very end of the report. All margins are sized correctly and have set the 'Force New Page' setting to 'None' for all Group Headings (I should mention that I have each subreport within it's own group heading...so a total of 8 subreports in 8 group headings). The odd thing is that I have the page #'s printing in the page footer and on the last page it's printing page + 1 of x pages (e.g. page 129 of 128). I have removed the report header and footer, but have the same result. None of the other subreports produce an extra page when run separately.

I have a multi-field search form with a tickbox that is tied to 2 queries that is tied to 2 reports. The form works great and I get all the results I want, but my report doesn't display on my monitor, it simply prints up! How can I get it to stop doing this and show only on my screen?
My code on the "run search" button is:

I have a report , which i print every month and it consist of of more than 500 pages. This report is based on a Query called L_Inv2. i want to filter and loop this report based on the filed AccountReference with in the query. And save as PDF for individual accounts.
i have also created another query based on the L_Inv2, Called L_Inv4 which only got the record of account numbers as a AccountReference
i am trying to use below code but some how this is not working.

I've created a report and report has the same number of pages as the number of records that it's displaying.
If there are two records, the report has 4 pages...the first 2 are the actual report and then the other 2 are a copy. If there are 3 records, the report would have 3 copies (...6 pages).
Any idea how to change this so that I have only one copy of the report?

I have a DB that is split to a back and frontend.
The FrontEnd is published on a Citrix server, so is the backend. It works well, but I have issues with images in report.
We have a lot of suppliers that demand that we use their standardized forms for entering customer information.
Most of these forms are quite simple and basic (logo in the corner and so on), and this does not represent an issue to just mock them in a new report.
However, one of our suppliers has multiple pictures, their own font for text, "complicated" boxes with text (for example they do not use rectangles, but cut of corner rectangles) and so on. It's a nightmare to recreate.
The FrontEnd file was about 25mb when i startet, and after creating 2 reports of 6 pages, the frontEnd size increased to over 350mb.
I have saved the pdf as an image (jpg). I need high resolution because of small tekst in the pdf that needs to be visible. I have managed to get the size down to 2mb, some 4mb. Any lower and the image is unreadable. I have also tried BMP (I've heard that bmp i preferable).
All of this is quite time consuming, and I have used hours after hours recreating these reports, without satisfactory results.
Sometimes the images are visible on the print, other times not. The same with the print preview.
So my question is... How can I "create" a report, based on a PDF?

I have a form that has a check box. If the box is checked then I would like the next field to be available for data entry, however, if the box is unchecked, then I wish for the next field to be grayed out and not available for data. I suspect that it is a simple bit of VBA, but I am not fluent in VBA and need help everytime, I find something new. Thanks for all your help.

i've created a dap that connects to a sql server database. It was working at one point but I've been moving the data around from server to server and finally ran into problems using the dap. The dap is used to hold information about different agents that my company writes business for.
For reasons unknown, the dap can view the records in the database, but cannot modify the records or create new records. The new & delete buttons in the navbar are gray. All the textboxes have readonly set to false.
I can use query analyzer to insert and delete records using the same user//pass as the dap. Anyone know why I can't modify this database?
I've recently tried exporting the database to an access file, deleting the sql database, recreate the sql db, and import from the access file.

I have a form that some fields have gray font instead of black. All of the properties seem to be the same as the other fields. The issue has to do with the 'Manage Sales Order' Form in the 'Products' Database.

I have a report that generates an in-house physical invoice for an event. On this report is a small section for a staff member to make hand written notes regarding when we call a week before the event as a final confirmation.
I want to have an empty check box in this section for the person to put a hand-written check. I tried creating an unbound check box in the report but it defaults to the gray fill of a null valued check box when printed.I tried setting it's default value in the report to 0 but for some reason I can't find a Default Value field among it's properties in the Property side bar. I did some research and thought that setting the Triple State value to No would solve this issue but it didn't.
How I can get rid of the gray fill when the report is printed? The field is completely unbound--this check box is purely for hand written notes, it has nothing to do with the database itself.

I am creating a form that is a letter. This letter will get printed off a lot. A line at the bottom of the sheet makes it look tacky. I am told this line prints on our other databases also. How do you get rid of it? Our company uses access 97 :mad:

I have a form that looks and prints exactly as I want it to, except for two little things. These things are extra pages. They don't appear on the print preview, but they always show up on the printer and on the pdf file when I email it. One page is blank and the last page has "Page 1 of 1" at the bottom right corner of the page. I would always limiting the printing to one page.

i have a query that prints records from 3 different tables that match values entered through a combo box on a form.
here is the code (i know its messy):

what i want it to do is to print what it shows, but then also have it print me the min and max values (the range of the data) in a new column as well. is this even possible? does anyone know what i mean? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am working with an already intact database along with a form. One of the buttions in the form, when pressed, prints two copies of a P.O. One copy says original on the bottom and the other says PX Copy and my boss wants the PX Copy to stop printing. How do I get it to stop?

A2010 - on an existing form I have a few controls that I want to hightlight. I thought I would create a rectangle covering only the desired controls and then make the back colour a light grey. But if I do then I cannot see the controls. If I change the back style to transparent then the colour reverts to nothing and I'm back to square one.
It feels like I want to bring the existing controls to the font - but how?If I create new controls on an existing grey rectangle then it works fine.

if anyone of the access gurus here had a chance to download and use the Form demo from Microsoft website you would have notieced that the background is actually a bmp picutes of cloudes. Can anyone tell mehow they manage to put that pictures in the foms. i tried using the autoformat but the autoformat has specific formats and not the one i saw in Forms Demo from Microsoft webiste.
Please tell me how to include pictures like these in the form.

I would like to change the color of the actual access database background. I've done my forum searching and found many many threads explaining how to do this but i cant open any of the sample DB's. Access says the file is readonly and you need to be able to edit upon the first opening or something to that affect. I assume its becuse the sample is a newer or older access than im running(XP)
