Access Connection
create a new Connection Manager by right-clicking in the Connection Managers section of the design area of the screen. Select New OLE DB Connection to bring up the Configure OLE DB Connection Manager dialog box. Click New to open the Connection Manager. In the Provider drop-down list, choose the Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider and click OK.
Browse to the Access database file and connection set up---all good!!!
Dataflow task
Add an OLE DB Source component
Double-click the icon to open the OLE DB Source Editor. Set the OLE DB Connection Manager property to the Connection Manager that I created . Select Table from the Data Access Mode drop-down list.
I cannot see the tables set up as set up as pass-through table types to a Oracle 9i db
Any ideas please help
thanks in advance

I have recently upgraded to SQL2014 on Win2012. The Access front end program works fine.
But, previously created Excel reports with built in MS Queries now fail with the above error for users with MS 2013. The queries still work for users still using MS 2007.Â
I also cannot create any new queries and get the same error message. If I log on as myself on the domain to another PC with 2007 installed it works fine, so I don't think it is anything to do with AD groups or permissions.
I am using sqljdbc41.jar to connect with MSSQL database, it is working fine on my local machine.Where as on the remote server, same class giving me error
Login failed for user '<domain><windows loginID>'
My connection string is URL...
I am using sqljdbc41.jar and on 64 bit processor , I am using following command which included path for sqljdbc_auth.dll java -Djava.library.path= C: sqljdbc_4.1enuauthx64 TestDao and error is Login failed for user '<domain><windows loginID>' why it is not picking up username passed in connection string. I have 2 machines, one is local and other is remote. on both machine I login using my domain, it is working absolutely fine on local then why the error is coming on remote machine. Both the machines are identical.
I have a table (tbl_entries) in my db that has a timestamp field (startDate). What I need to do is run a query that counts the number of records on a 15 min interval.
something like

I have a Select TOP 1 statement which works fine, but i also want to count the total records at the same time. This is my SQL
Code:
SELECT TOP (1) dbo.ClientOffers.ProductID, dbo.ClientOffers.ClientID, dbo.Offers.Offertext, dbo.Offers.Offerlink, dbo.Offers.Image, dbo.Offers.Cost
FROM dbo.ClientOffers INNER JOIN
dbo.Offers ON dbo.ClientOffers.OfferID = dbo.Offers.OfferID
WHERE (dbo.ClientOffers.ProductID = 1284) AND (dbo.ClientOffers.ClientID = 0)
How do i also count the total records?
I need to query the count of an occurrence in a given period of time, so I created this query. But it does not give me any results.
SELECT TOP 1000
o.[ID]
,o.[TimeOfOrder]
,x.[StreeLine1]
FROM [SC].[dbo].[bvc_Order] o
FULL JOIN SC.dbo.xmlAddressRead x
ON o.ID= x.id
WHERE DATEDIFF(HOUR,o.[TimeOfOrder],(DATEADD(Hour, -48, GETDATE()))) < 48
GROUP BY x.[StreeLine1], o.ID, o.TimeOfOrder
HAVING COUNT(x.[StreeLine1])>1
Then I change the query slightly and I ask it to show me the ones that are going to '599 Ships Landing Way' and it gives me 356 results! The Query doesn't crash, but it doesn't give me the results I need. What did I do incorrectly?
SELECT TOP 1000
o.[ID]
,o.[TimeOfOrder]
,x.[StreeLine1]
FROM [SC].[dbo].[bvc_Order] o
FULL JOIN SC.dbo.xmlAddressRead x
ON o.ID= x.id
WHERE DATEDIFF(HOUR,o.[TimeOfOrder],(DATEADD(Hour, -48, GETDATE()))) < 48
AND x.[StreeLine1]='599 Ships Landing Way'
I use Microsoft SQL 2008
Need help to create a query to count how many times over a specified time the tag(s) equal the value of 1.

Hello,
I am doing a SSIS package to transfer rows from access db to sql server using foreach file. Before loading the data, I want to count the number of rows in a table of the access db. How do I do that?
thank you in advance
Say that I have employee data for 2010-2015. I have a pivot table that displays employee data for all the different months in 2015 I want each month to show all people who have been employed since the start of time until and including that month. So
for January 2015 it should show all people employed from January 2010 to January 2015.
for February 2015 it should show all people employed from January 2010 to February 2015.
for March 2015 it should show all people employed from January 2010 to March 2015.
How can I write a measure for this? I have a date table set up.
I have an SSIS package that moves data from SQL Server to an legacy Access database. In SQL Server, there is a date/time column that I need to split into a separate date column and time column in the access database. Initially I just created a derrived column for the time and set the expression equal to the source date/time column from SQL Server. Unfortunately, that just makes the date column and time column the same having the full date/time.
What expression can I use during a derrived column transformation to assign just the date to a derrived column and just the time to another derrived column?
Thanks,
Steve
I want to save every query executed from a given software, let's say Multi Script for example, and save in a table query text, execution time and rows count among other possible useful information. Right now I've created a sp and a job that runs every 1 milliseconds but I can't figure out how to get execution time and rows count. Another problem with this is that if the query takes too long I end up with several rows in my table.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to write a stored procedure that loops through the list of user tables, gets the record count for each one and write a record to an audit table with DATE, TABLENAME, RECORDCOUNT.I keep getting an error "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string".Here is the script...
DECLARE @table nvarchar(500)
DECLARE @sql nvarchar(520)
DECLARE CursorSelect CURSOR FOR
select table_name from INFORMATION_SCHEMA.tables where table_name not like 'sys%' order by table_name
[code]....
If I just use a simple select statement, I find that I have 8286 records within a specified date range.
If I use the select statement to pull records that were created from 5pm and later and then add it to another select statement with records created before 5pm, I get a different count: 7521 + 756 = 8277
Is there something I am doing incorrectly in the following sql?
DECLARE @startdate date = '03-06-2015'
DECLARE @enddate date = '10-31-2015'
DECLARE @afterTime time = '17:00'
SELECT
General_Count = (SELECT COUNT(*) as General FROM Unidata.CrumsTicket ct
[Code] ....
Some logic for calculating the count for changed values.
E.g. :--
ID Â Â Â Â Â VAL
1 10
1 20
1 20
1 20
1 10
1 10
1 10
1 20
1 10
Here in the above table my value changed from 10 to 20 and so.., so Val column value changed 4 times, so I need the result like :
 id     count
 1        4Â
I'm trying to re-write my database to de-couple the interface (MS Access) from the SQL Backend. Â As a result, I'm going to write a number of Stored Procedures to replace the MS Access code. Â My first attempt worked on a small sample, however, trying to move this on to a real table hasn't worked (I've amended the SP and code to try and get it to work on 2 fields, rather than the full 20 plus). It works in SQL Management console (supply a Client ID, it returns all the client details), but does not return anything (recordset closed) when trying to access via VBA code. The Stored procedure is:-
USE [VMSProd]
GO
/****** Object: StoredProcedure [Clients].[vms_Get_Specified_Client] Script Date: 22/09/2015 16:29:59 ******/
SET ANSI_NULLS ON
GO
SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
[code]....

Hello, All!
Good Afternoon!
I'm having a strange situation in my SQL SErver 2000 SP3a with 4 Processors, 4GB of RAM and high-end disk sub-system.
I migrate a specific database from another instance with SQL SErver 2000 SP3a too to this new server with more hardware resource than another one.
The application that access this DataBase stablish a connection with SQL SErver using TCP/IP, everything works fine. So, if I let the connection "sleeping", or better, if I let the connection idle for amount of time, I need to stablish the connection to ther SQL SErver again.
I hadn't the same situation in the old instance as I having. I think that it's happening because the other instance was dedicated to this application and that new Instance don't.
In this new Instance I have many other connections simultaneously, about 200 processes.
Anybody knows what's going on? Are there any settings to change this time-out configuration just for a specific connections?
Thanks
Best Regards
How can i find databases' last access times in server
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am sure I am using the same connection string for all connection.open, and closing all connections as soon as possible… but
When I try to debug my web app with vs, it runs for some time then I get:
The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached exception
However, if I just access the application normally form the url (not using vs.net) it runs flawlessly.
Has some one had the same problem? i can't debug help!!
Hi,
I have Mirroring setup for 3 databases without a witness.
The database mirroring monitor shows me that both Principal and Mirror are "Synchronized".
SSMS also shows that the both instances are "Synchronized".
However, the following error message appears couple of times in the event viewer:
The mirroring connection to "TCP://abc.xyz.com:5022" has timed out for database "DB" after 10 seconds without a response. Check the service and network connections.
Also came across this article.

Should i be worried?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHi All,

Until when the i click second time, only i'm able to acess into it. What happened actually?
I'm using sql express as embedded db on my local pc. This is without any remoting access.
Hi Friends,
Is it possible to create single sql connection and running several transaction at the same time? If so, can you explain?
Thanks.
every time we develop new dts and move it to production we have to MANUALY
modify data source.
I can submit data source as input parameter to dts and using global variable assign it connection data source.
Could it be done at run time ?
Example
if dts start on dev1 server all
connections points on dev server
if dts starts on prod server all
connection point on prod
Thank you
