Analysis :: Proclarity Reports Are Not In Standard Mode
Jun 13, 2012
I have Installed Proclarity 6.1 Web Professional in my local System and i am trying to open a report on Analysis server where sql server 2012 in installed.
There i found reports are only opening in professional mode and when ever i am trying to open in Stendard Mode i am getting below mentioned error for every report.
ERROR:- "The selected page could not be opened because the cube could not be found. Please choose a different page."
After getting this Error, i have uninstalled  ProClarity 6.1 web Professional from my system and installed ProClarity 6.3; but still i am facing the same issue (not able to open reports in a standard mode)
What is the solution for this and is this compatibility issue with ProClarity 6.1 and 6.3 with sql server 2012?
I have a question about using MSSQL server 2005 standard edition in Clustering mode. I would like to build a msql cluster with only 2 servers (2 nodes).
I read here -> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=818234dc-a17b-4f09-b282-c6830fead499&DisplayLang=en page 5 that you can use MSSQL server 2005 standard edition in Clustering mode with 2 nodes.
But my question is : Can I use windows 2003 standard edition (Clustering mode managed ????) or I only can use windows 2003 enterprise edition ?
Is there any way to get SSRS 2014 report viewer to run in standards mode? We currently host SSRS report viewer in a standards mode IFrame. Â Seems to work fine for all browsers but IE8. In IE8, the report detail is missing.
I'm guessing that SSRS Viewer on IE 8 requires Quirks mode.
I noticed this article which states that SSRS 2014 Viewer only works in quirks mode.
Rendering issues with SQL Server Reporting Services reports in Internet Explorer
How do you get the SSRS viewer to run on IE8 in standards mode?
I am trying to deploy reports through visual studio. In the Target server URL, specified the url of the report server as http://<localhost>:<portnumber>/reportserver/Shared Documents/. But When i deploy it asks for username and password. when i provide them, again login screen appears. Finally deployment fails when i press cancel.
I'm setting the Hidden property to True and then creating the report using the CreateReport method from the ReportingService2006 class. When I check the reportserver database Hidden is set to true. But when I call the GetProperties method it shows Hidden as being false. And in the document library the reports are visable.
I tried calling the SetProperties method after I created the report but it still didn't work.
I have a new 2014 SSAS installation. During VS2013 Tabular Project create I get an error Cannot connect, Reason The workspace database on server ***** is not running in tabular mode.I've changed   msmdsrv.ini  - DeploymentMode>2...The server wont start.
I'm working with the Dec CTP of SQL 2005 SP2 and the associated Sharepoint addin.
I've been able to get a report created in VS2005 and manually uploaded to the Document Library holding reports, and the report works when I open it (using an internal datasource, not shared).
My first problem is I can't get VS2005 to deploy datasources or reports to my doc library. I have configured TargetDataSourceFolder http://server/site/doclib TargetReportFolder http://server/site/doclib TargetServerURL http://server/
When I try to deploy my Shared Data Source, it asks me to login, and will not accept my credentials (I am farm administrator, and site collection administrator, and local administrator, and a site owner)
Secondly, for the report I manually uploaded, I can't edit it in Report Builder (from Sharepoint) because I get stuck on entering something that works into the Select Site or Server dialog box. I've tried http://server/ and http://server/site/ and http://server/site/doclib
I'm working on a Tabular model at my job since the users have a requirement to query against a live data source. I've been looking online for clients that issue DAX as opposed to MDX to the model, but besides SSRS and Power View, I could not find anything else. Any other client side interfaces to a DirectQuery Tabular model?
Hello, We have successfully developed the reports on our testing machine with SQL Server 2000 Enterprise + Reporting Services 2000 Enterprise. Is there any problem if we deploy the reports to the production machine that runs SQL Server 2000 Standard and Reporting Services 2000 Standard?
Since SP2 was installed on our SSRS server a couple of days ago, reports viewed in the client Report Viewer control (with or without VS SP1) show a black background when in Print Layout Mode. All other rendering options work fine. Anyone else seen this? Any clues how to fix?
Having finally managed to get over the hump of getting Sharepoint integrated mode working in a farm install, I am having a problem deploying reports from Visual Studio to Sharepoint.
Visual Studio is updated to Service Pack 2, as is of course the report server.
The reports APPEAR to deploy - they actually appear in the document library after deployment! But the result is:
------ Build started: Project: Harvest Reports, Configuration: Debug ------ Build complete -- 0 errors, 0 warnings ------ Deploy started: Project: Harvest Reports, Configuration: Debug ------ Deploying to http://ppdwn-bl10:8888/ Deploying data source 'http://ppdwn-bl10:8888/ReportTest/Data Sources/ReportWarehouse.rsds'. Unfortunately I cannot view the reports in Sharepoint - I can see them in the document library but when I click them I get the same error, except in the web browser. "Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error".
The Report Server log shows the following:

Through SharePoint you can upload an RDS file and then click manage data sources to hook upthe report to a proper shared data source. Does anyone know if you can do this through the SharePoint object model? We don't deploy our reports using the designer and we don't want to upload the reports using SharePoint. We want to add the reports to a document library using the object model, when we do this we need to manage the data source so that it will run.
I tried to deploy reports from VS 2005 on Dev to Prod (different domain, in WSS integration mode) , but VS keeps showing the login window ...
I set up TargetDataSourceFolder, TargetReportFolder and TargetServerURL in VS 2005 on my Dev machine as mentioned in MSDN article "Deploying Reports, Models, and Shared Data Sources to a SharePoint Site" and tried to deploy reports to Prod machine. But VS 2005 keeps showing "Report Services Login" window to me, even when I used Administrator account of that Prod machine.
The WSS log file on the Prod machine shows this error: "The file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by the server administrators."
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance! I have searched for days for this issue ...
My question is How to automate the standards reports which sql server provides can be done.for example I want to send Dashboard report to my email automatically on scheduled time.
I have visual studio 2008 on my vista ultimate machine. I also have sql express edition, however I have no installed it I was thinking of installing sql standard edition because I really am interested in development of ssrs, crystal reports in a commercial development. Is it best to have both sql express and the standard edition I am excited about sql 2008. What is the best configuaration for an aspiring small comercial developer like myself. I am looking for input. Thanks
Hello, I have a configuration where my SharePoint services are running on a web machine and the SQL server reporting services are running on a different machine. I installed SQL SP2 and the SQL Server Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint by following all the instructions listed in €œConfiguring Reporting Services for SharePoint 3.0 Integration€? (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326356.aspx). My issue is that when I Deploy a report from a VS Report Server project by running Visual Studio on the machine where reporting servicers is running, everything works fine. But if I try the same thing on any other machine on the network, I get a €œThe file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by the server administrators.€? message.
I€™m sure I€™m missing something on the configuration but I can€™t tell what.
We have a Report Server integrated with SharePoint. A month ago we deployed a report (rdl file) in SharePoint, but the person who deployed it was no longer connected with us. So we decided to deactivate it in our Active Directory. Yesterday, our users returned issues regarding they are unable to access their report. I believe the issue was "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
So I tried to download the rdl file and redeployed it but i am getting error upon deploying to SharePoint. My workaround is to delete the rdl file in SharePoint, redeploy the shared datasource and shared datasets and the rdl file. It went and was now able to run the report in SharePoint.
Is there something relation/happened when deactivating the account in AD that users unable to access the report in SharePoint?
Can applications connect to SSAS Tabular mode cubes through ODBC drivers? I have been asked the question specifically regarding SAS, and I can see (for example) SAS Enterprise Guide has the ability to connect to sources via ODBC, so I now need to find out if there are such things as ODBC divers for SSAS (specifically Tabular).
Are Measure Expressions Supported in SSAS 2014 Standard Edition? In 2005 SSAS, I remember that Measure Expressions were not supported in the Standard Edition, only Enterprise Edition.
As an ISV, I want to certify my product on Standard Edition. I am using Developer Edition everywhere. Is there a way I can do the certification using the Developer Edition, or do I need to obtain/purchase a copy of the Standard Edition?
I'm fairly new to Proclarity and I'm using 6.3. I just have desktop professional and we still don't have proclarity analytical server installed yet. I would like to work around with KPI Designer, how am I able to install it. Does it come with extra components and needs to be installed from the installation CD?
...Also folks any good resources in learning proclariy?
Does anyone have any experience with this product? The documentation is weak (read nonexistant) and I'm not sure how to export a report so I can see how it works.
Is it possible to have Proclarity calculate the totals desired below? I know ProClarity is summing the totals but is it possible to calculate the desired result below?
Since some analysis services features are only available in Enterprise version , I have to upgrade my SQL 2005 server from standard edition to enterpise edition.
So I uninstall originial standard version of analysis service and install a Enterprise version. However, the analysis service is still a standard version after installation.
Is it possible to keep data engine as standard version and install a enterprise version of analysis service?
What can I do about this? There doesn't seem to be any workaround, I've upgraded everything, including the Msiexec to 3.2 (v2), but the same error always pops up.
I've done other installs of the same product without any problem whatsoever.
Durning install I selected Window's Authentication only, but now it seems we may need to use a Mixed Mode with an SA account etc... is there anyway to switch SQL 2005 to use Mixed Mode after the fact?
We have reports in SharePoint integrated mode which are really slow when compared to native mode. I have been asked to research and give info on what exactly causes the delays.
Any articles which give me information as to what happens when a report is run from SharePoint server and where does it log.
There is a query which when executed in the grid mode(ctrl+d) takes approx 0.02 seconds(about 21,000 rows) But when I execute in the text mode, it takes about 0.40 seconds!! Why is this difference? Also, when the records from this table are read from a VB application, they are equally slow (as in the text mode!) Why is it so slow on the text mode & relatively faster in the grid mode? Has anyone got any idea on ‘Firehose’ style cursor ?(which may speed up access of data in the VB application)
Recently I read such statments 'When SQL Server is run in "lightweight pooling" mode (fiber mode) and the DTC service is started, unexpected behavior may occur.' Can someone say anything about fibe mode?I am appreciated for it.:)
