Basic SQL Query (Select Records Added Today)

Hi,I feel stupid for posting this question but I cannot find out how to create an SQL statement to return records that have been added today.My database table has a field called calldate which hold the date and time of the record added to the database i.e. "02/08/2005 16:55:41".Please can someone let me know how I can search to find all records added today. I thought it would be something like it, but I assume I need to format the calldate so it's just 02/08/2005.Select *From TableWhere CallDate = GetDate()ThanksBrett

Hello,I am writing a query to select records added to a table today, in the last 3 days, in the last 7 days, and so on.Here is what I have (which seems that its not working exactly). -- total listed today
SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, mydatecolumn, getdate() ) <= 0-- total listed yesterday
SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, mydatecolumn, getdate() ) <= 1-- total listed in the last 3 days

I have a table with a column of type date. I want to select all records where the date column = today. I tried
Select * from myTable where DateSent = GetDate()
but it returns no records.
Do I really have to use this slow method?

I want to get all records that are 7 days pass today's date and not equal to today's date. Don't know how to write it so I can get records 7 days old but with this procedure I'm still getting records that are due today. Hope this makes sense. Can someone assist me.

Hi All,
I've got a main report with five subreports. Based on a value of a parameter in the main report one the subreports is filled with data, all the other subreports will have no records. When the report is displayed in on the reportserver it is working fine, bit when I export the data to a CVS format, also the element names of the subreports are added to the CSV Output.
When i change the value of Data Output of the subreport item in the main report to Auto it doesn't export the records of the filled subreport.
How can I disable the export of the dataelement names in the CSV export?

Hello. I have an "Events" table with a datetime column containing dates (the time is unnecessary). I want to select an upcoming event (one post) from the table where the date is either today or the day nearest to today.
Dim today As Date = Date.Now
I have declared a 'today' variable but I don't know how to use it in
the SQL query. Will I have to convert the today variable to something before using it?
Should a Label be involved? The event will be displayed in DetailsView.

I have a line of VB / SQL Server code as follows:

My problem here is how to code today's date in a format like this - October, 09 2007. The MT_DATE column on the database table has Varchar datatype - Varchar(21).

I would like to AUTOMATICALLY count the event for the month BEFORE today
and
count the events remaining in the month (including those for today).
I can count the events remaining in the month manually with this query (today being March 20):
SELECT Count(EventID) AS [Left for Month],
FROM RECalendar
WHERE
(EventTimeBegin >= DATEADD(DAY, 1, (CONVERT(char(10), GETDATE(), 101)))
AND EventTimeBegin < DATEADD(DAY, 12, (CONVERT(char(10), GETDATE(), 101))))
Could anyone provide me with the correct syntax to count the events for the current month before today
and
to count the events remaining in the month, including today.

Out of this records I would like to select only the 1st and the 3rd record. ie. My result should only have the below rows

I would like to make a listbox only appear if there are results returned by the SQL select statement. I want this to be assessed on a click event of a button before the listbox is rendered.I obviously use the ".visible" property, but how do I assess the returned records is zero before it is rendered?

I have a table T (a1, ..., an, time, id). I need to select those rows that have different id (GROUP BY id), and from each "id group" the row that has the latest field 'time'. Something like SELECT a1, ..., an, time, id ORDER BY time DESC GROUP BY id. This is the wrong syntax and I don't know how to handle this.

For each customer, I want to add all of their telephone numbers to a different column. That is, multiple columns (depending on the number of telephone numbers) for each customer/row. How can I achieve that?
I want my output to be
CUSTOMER ID, FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, TEL1, TEL2, TEL3, ... etc
Each 'Tel' will relate to a one or more records in the PHONES table that is linked back to the customer.
I want to do it using SELECT. Is it possible?

I converted an MS Access db to SQL Server 2005 Express yesterday. I used FullConvert Enterprise for the conversion and it worked great. I ran several queries and saved them, and they ran fine. Today, running the same queries, I get this error message:
Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Invalid object name 'tblTXMup'
I googled the message and found someone who had a similar problem and their answer was they were not the dbo. I checked the new database and it was owned by sa so I logged in as sa and got the same error.
Can anyone set me straight so I can get into this db?

I have created the procedure in sql server 2005 for retriving email addresses from table based on date_expiry and concatinating all email addresses in to @tolist as shown below

WHERE DATEDIFF(day, date_expiry, GETDATE())='3'print @tolist

and I passed this @tolist to another procedure which should send mails for email addresses present in @tolist variable.
Problem is I need to send the mail to each email address separatley.( not bulkly)

I have a query where:
WHERE a.jobdate >=GETDATE()-1
This brings though data from today and yesterday; I understand this is because GETDATE = now.
However, all I want is to see is data from today only.
Is there any way the above query can be amended - probably not using GETDATE - so I can achieve this?

Well this Query should return the raiserror it returns completes successfuly
since todays date is not the same as the date in the database.
if you select @datefin_flag it returns NULL and if you select @strip it brings back todays date how can NULL be equal to to todays date assuming that todays date is equal to NULL. ?

Here is my query
SELECT id, (CONVERT(datetime, event_date)) AS event_date, xmlfilename, event_active FROM test WHERE (YEAR(event_date) >= YEAR(GETDATE())) AND (MONTH(event_date) >= MONTH(GETDATE())) AND (DAY(event_date) >= DAY(GETDATE())) ORDER BY event_date ASC
The above query shows me event only upcoming event from the current month.
I want to list all the events happening today and future. I do not want to show past event. How to do this?
