I have a stored procedure which will bring me back the Min, Max and Mean of different result sets. What I want to do with the Y-Axis is set the Min scale value of the chart to be Min -%5 and the Max scale value to be Max + 5%.
Is there a way to change the Y-Axis values at report run time without spitting my own RDL?
I have a line chart which works great except when the x axis displays duplicate months. I have tried format codes of MM-YYYY and MMM and have the "numeric or time-scale values" checkbox checked. The data displays fine but the X axis in the case of the MMM format code displays as:
Sep Oct Oct Nov Nov
leaving the user to wonder where exactly does October and November start...
I've googled around but don't see off-hand what I am doing wrong. I am display 3 simultaneous lines if that matters...

Can you have different scales on a bar chart. I want to chart sales and quantity. Oracle lets you label the top of the bar chart as money and the bottom as quantity.
I am dividing my sales by one million and quantity by one thousand to make them similar in size on the same chart. I am using the sum of the sales/1000000 as a point label. Is there any way to limit the number of decimal places displayed. Currently it is displaying something like 1.94889312043; 1.95M would be better.

I have a case. I have 3 numeric fields and 1 category field to be displayed on bar chart reports. the problem is 2 of the 3 numeric fields have significant different scale value. so I need to add additonal scale at the right side of bar chart to represent 1 numeric fields + the 2 other numeric fields at the left side scale (Y). Is there a possibility in SSRS to have One stacked bar of cumulative sum of different ID's and and Line Chart at left hand of the Bar which will show the Progress as soon as the ID turn to Competed status.
I have been trying to do this , however there is huge problem of scaling:
The line should be finished at all the completed ID's SUM which is the lowest stack of the Bar.
However , the bar gets stretched to all of the space.
I have tried to place it into Tab lix, But it doesn't work.

The values on X-axis are scaled from -100 to +100. I want to colour the band from -100 to 0 with red colour and that from 0 to +100 in green colour, and i want to provide legend for these bands/sections. How can i do this?

I have an stacked chart with line with markers. The scale on the right side is the finished good which has a min qty of 383 while the highest is 52439. how can i set this scale that start from 0 to 300 and soon. right now under scale properties I set the max to 60000, the min is set to auto while in the interval properties i set this to 10000. How this line marker adjust the scale quantity (fisnished good).

I need to know what means are available to change the Minimum and Maximum Y-Axis scale values rather than leave them simply as they are in the properties.
Right now whatever min/max values I enter into the scale for the Y-Axis are unchangeable.
I need to be able to change the min/max scale values based on the value of the data at run time.

I have developed few charts - line graphs - and have checked the Numeric or time-scale values on the X-Axis. Now, when the graphs come out, they appear to have two datasets. For example, if the X axis has values from 1st march to 14th March, then there will be a line from 1st March to 14th March, but additionally there will be another one, pointing to different datapoint, and again starts from 1st March and ends at 14th March. Whereas I think it is because of the Numeric or time-scale values selection, but I am not sure. Also, is there a particular way to interpret such graphs??

I encountered a very strange problem again. Why the time series displayed on the chart are so strange? The Key time column I chose for my time series algorithm is cal_month(e.g 199001...), but why the date displayed on the time series chart is like :05/06/2448? (it should be like 199001..?) What is that data? And where exactly did it come from? What is the exact cause of this?

I am working on Creating an SSIS package to add Slowly Chaging Dimension to the package programmatically.
I have done the following steps:
1. Choosing the connection manager to access the data source that contains the dimension table that you want to update.
You can select from a list of connection managers that the package includes.
2. Choosing the dimension table or view you want to update.
After you select the connection manager, you can select the table or view from the data source.
3. Setting key attributes on columns and map input columns to columns in the dimension table.
You must choose at least one business key column in the dimension table and map it to an input column. Other input columns can be mapped to columns in the dimension table as non-key mappings.
4. Choose the change type for each column.
o Changing attribute overwrites existing values in records.
o Historical attribute creates new records instead of updating existing records.
o Fixed attribute indicates that the column value must not change.

situation
we intalled sqlexpress on a server 2003 ...work well... named server <deval-sqlexpr>
instance name of sql is <sqlexpress>
we changed the server name to <apps-ii>
after that we cannot access the sql instance <deval-sqlexprsqlexpress>
we cannot remove (with add and remove program) that unsuable instance.
we have an instance name <apss-iisqlexpress1> and its works well
we cannot change the server name back to <deval-sqlexpr> ...the server is now the DC....
QUESTION:
is it possible to remove and clean out that instance from the server.

I am using Sql REporting Services 2005 for viewing reports in my web application. I have to change the chart types at run time basesd on the option. User can select any chart eg. bar chart, pie chart, column chart etc. On selection screen should populate the chart type. I am not able to change chart type at runtime. Help please.

When I export the report in excel format the chart is displayed as picture. The question I would like to ask you people has to do with numeric fields. What exactly is precision? Is it the maximum length in digits of a field, or is there more to it? What about a "field's scale", what is it and how does it affect a field's value handling?

I have set the output columns to decimal and data scale of 2. And have also set the field to be 0.00, and in the csv desination file it always puts .000000, How can I get it to be 0.00?

This is not a real big deal, cause I worked around it.. but I just tried to INCREASE the scale on a decimal column & got an arithmatic overflow error. I can understand why this would occur if trying to decrease the scale, but not increasing it. This is not a computed column.. why does SQL give an overflow error if all it has to do is add a couple of zeros to the end? Yes, I know SQL considers them to be different data types, but this is still confusing me.
