SQL Server 2012 :: Calculate Number Of Days Based On Computer System Date And Due Date Row

Mar 18, 2014

I have a query to run a report where the results has a column named “Due Date” which holds a date value based on the project submission date. Now, I need to add 4 columns named, “45 Days Expectant”, “30 Days Overdue”, “60 Days Overdue” and “90 Days Overdue”.I need to do a calculation based on the “Due Date” and “System (I mean default computer date) Date” that if “System Date” is 45 days+ to “Due Date” than put “Yes” in “45 Days Expectant” row.

Also, if “Due Date” is less than or equal to system date by 30 days, put “Yes” in “30 Days Overdue” and same for the 60 and 90 days.how to write this Case Statement? I have some answers how to do it in SSRS (Report Designer) but I want to get the results using T-SQl.

Change Owner On System Database

Nov 29, 2007

Hi,

We have a situation where somehow several of the system databases are owned by an ID of a person no longer with the organization. This triggers a few questions: If I disable the user (it's a SQL account, not domain), will that cause any issue? What is the correct way to change the user of a system database?

Error: System Cannot Find The File Specified: (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.SQLEditors)

Jan 16, 2008

I know there are already several bug submissions on this error, and I am sure the cryptoAPI team is working to resolve this issue.. However... Is it possible that the CAPICOM update (KB931906) could have contributed to this issue? In my instance, I installed SQLServer 2005 Express w/ Adv Tools SP2 after a freash XP install. I checked it out, and everything worked fine. I updated windows (online) and now it gives this error. In fact, I cannot even run the un-install because the setup utility also hits the following error (as taken from the log file):

I would like to enable users that do not belong to groups (server roles) such as sysadmin, serveradmin and don't have db permissions such as ddl_admin or db_owner to run some of the system stored procedures (such as sp_addumpdevice sp_configure sp_serveroption ...) and DBCC commands (such as DBCC CHECKFILEGROUP - requires ob_owner or sysadmin permission).

Is it possible to change permissions of SQL Server system stored procedures?

Is it possible to change permissions of SQL Server DBCC commands?

Change Date To Int

May 21, 2008

I want to convert "2007-01-27 14:13:01.223" to 20070127 (an integer representing the day). I could concatenate the calls to YEAR, MONTH DAY but then I would have to cater for the possibility that MONTH or DAY may return me one char instead of two; then I'll have to pad it manually.
Is there a shorter way to write such a query?
