Jun 23, 2012I am using the (SQL Express ) bellow given code to restore data from *.bak file (A backup file creater earlier by SQL backup). Some times this do not restore the data and gives error "Restore Failed". But when I change the system date to next day date then it restore data successfully.VB code used is as follow:

Mar 18, 2014I have a query to run a report where the results has a column named “Due Date” which holds a date value based on the project submission date.Now, I need to add 4 columns named, “45 Days Expectant”, “30 Days Overdue”, “60 Days Overdue” and “90 Days Overdue”.I need to do a calculation based on the “Due Date” and “System (I mean default computer date) Date” that if “System Date” is 45 days+ to “Due Date” than put “Yes” in “45 Days Expectant” row.
Also, if “Due Date” is less than or equal to system date by 30 days, put “Yes” in “30 Days Overdue” and same for the 60 and 90 days.how to write this Case Statement? I have some answers how to do it in SSRS (Report Designer) but I want to get the results using T-SQl.

When I run the DTS Package manually, everything works fine and does what it is supposed to do.

i am using sql server authentication where users are using their sql server user id and sql server saved passwords.
how can i change their passwords inside the sql server?
is there a system sp that allows one to pass one's user id and then change password.
I will need to call that sp from a user defined store dprocedure and pass the parameters and that will change the password on the sql server.

I know there are already several bug submissions on this error, and I am sure the cryptoAPI team is working to resolve this issue.. However... Is it possible that the CAPICOM update (KB931906) could have contributed to this issue? In my instance, I installed SQLServer 2005 Express w/ Adv Tools SP2 after a freash XP install. I checked it out, and everything worked fine. I updated windows (online) and now it gives this error. In fact, I cannot even run the un-install because the setup utility also hits the following error (as taken from the log file):

I would like to enable users that do not belong to groups (server roles) such as sysadmin, serveradmin and don't have db permissions such as ddl_admin or db_owner to run some of the system stored procedures (such as sp_addumpdevice sp_configure sp_serveroption ...) and DBCC commands (such as DBCC CHECKFILEGROUP - requires ob_owner or sysadmin permission).
Is it possible to change permissions of SQL Server system stored procedures?
Is it possible to change permissions of SQL Server DBCC commands?
