Formating A Number On A Cell

I have the following problem, i want the number format to appear depending on the language that the IE is on once you are using the reports on the web.
The thing is that my reports have language = default.
Format of the numbers are N0 or ###,###,###
The result is
123,234,456 with pt language ou en-us language, and i would like to be 123.234.456 in pt and 123,234,456 on en.
What am i doing wrong?

Oct 26, 2015on this report, am having ids separated by '^'.when I export to excel, I wrote the expression as
=Replace(Fields!Id.Value,"^",Environment.NewLine)
It is working fine, but the problem is if I have only one id in some scenario, then this case that cell is showing an error "The Number in this cell formatted as text or precedence by apostrophe" .But in other scenario,If the ids are separated by "^", then this case that cell wont show any error. So I need to display the cell wont have any error symbol  if I have only one id .How can I achieve this?.

What I'd like to do is:
UPDATE table1
SET
A_TEXT_COLUMN = (SELECT another_text_column
FROM table2
WHERE table2_id = @precomputed_id_1)
WHERE table1_ID = @precomputed_id_2
Since the cells are text, this does not work. Since the cell to be updated is in an already exitant row, it's not possible to simply use insert.
I'd like to do something like (PSEUDOcode):
WRITETEXT(table1.A_TEXT_COLUMN, READTEXT(@textptr_initialised_to_point_at_target_c ell))
But the *actual* synatx of WRITETEXT and READTEXT seem totally inappropriate for any such trick...
Any hints or pointers HUGELY appreciated... THANX

Hi,
I'm working with MRS and I've got a table with a lot of entries. For each value in the table I'm trying to get the text colour to be set to 'red' when the value of the cell is less than 0. Otherwise remain black.
I can do this by setting the colour property cell by cell. But I have a lot of cells in the table. Is there a way to set the statement to apply to ALL cells in the table?
Basically I'm asking if there is a way to set the property in bulk instead of going through tediously cell by cell.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Matrix - Centering Higher Level Column Group Values In Viewing Area Instead Of Entire Cell Band Width
Dec 28, 2007I have 2 higher level column groupings of month name and year above my actual date groups. It looks a little weird aligning them left but there is no guarantee that centering them will even allow them to show until I've scrolled right to the middle of the cell width that they occupy.
Is there a feature that comes with, or a well known trick for making them center in the area that is being viewed instead of the potentially very wide cell that they occupy?

Decrease A Number In Column By One
Mar 16, 2007A want to user a procedure to decrease a number in a col. by 1 each day.
I need some type of operation
then a job has to run the procedure to decrease a number once a day.
I don't know how to go about the operation? I am going to the SQL Query Anylizer to help me run the script to test it. I have in a col. of 201 numbers, and I will subtract 1 from each day from all recorders. I guess you could call this a count down or timer. Does this code work for me?

Is that because SQL Server cant handle more than 1024 columns ?

Breaking Down A Number Column From A Query?
Sep 18, 2007I’m okay with simple queries but as I’m no expert and have failed to find perhaps the correct wording to describe this method, if at all possible to do, so I have come to ask here.
What I would like to do is take a column from a query and then break down that column into separate results.
So the full query results:
36,18/09/2007 10:00:00,NULL,000102000304,NULL
The column I would like to brake down is (Unique Reference Number):
000102000304
And I would like to break it down to get the last 2 parts (0003 and 04):
0001 | 02 | 0003 | 04
Is this possible to do?
If so where should I be looking or what should I be looking at?

I have set PK "ID" in table RECORD to auto identity(1,1). I have done the same for PK "num" in table STEPS.
However I am seeking this behavior in STEPS:
ID num
-- ----
19 1

19 3
20 1
20 2
21 1
but what I'm getting is PK num doesn't "reseed" or reset to 1 as "ID" changes. PK num just auto-increments regardless of ID. Is there a workaround?

Auto-number/Identity Column
Jul 20, 2005I am migrating a web application I wrote from ASP to ASP.Net, and fromAccess to MS SQL server.In the Access version, I did not use the auto number for creatinginvoices and other documents, because I heard somewhere (perhapsincorrectly) that if the db was ever compacted or otherwise changed,it could change the values of the auto-numbers. Not a good thing.So I wrote a routine that, just before creating a new record, wouldlook for the highest value in the table and create the new record withthe next number.So my question is, am I safe in assuming that in MS SQL that I can seta starting number for the next, let's say, invoice and that newnumbers will be issued in sequence, and that these numbers will neverchange?
