Count Query Breaking Down By Month

Need query to expand the count from a month to the entire year in 2013 .Below is my query where I got the values for a month in 2013 ,How do I expand on this query so that it generates for the entire 2013

Also when I am running for months individually there are certain months where for certain reportids there is no data returned,I would like to populate all zeroes for that row for example report id 306 in February and how to get decimal values in average fields.

I would like to AUTOMATICALLY count the event for the month BEFORE today
and
count the events remaining in the month (including those for today).
I can count the events remaining in the month manually with this query (today being March 20):
SELECT Count(EventID) AS [Left for Month],
FROM RECalendar
WHERE
(EventTimeBegin >= DATEADD(DAY, 1, (CONVERT(char(10), GETDATE(), 101)))
AND EventTimeBegin < DATEADD(DAY, 12, (CONVERT(char(10), GETDATE(), 101))))
Could anyone provide me with the correct syntax to count the events for the current month before today
and
to count the events remaining in the month, including today.

I have a few million rows of a data in a table that store indexing information for scanned customer documents. Fields like last name, first name, document description (descript), document type and scan date (scandate).
I want to be able to query the document description column where it'll show how many times each document description was scanned/used over the course of the last 6 months or year.

I am writing a query to display the count of products when a month is the primary month (Month where large sales happened)..Please consider the following query..

It runs for 13 seconds on my laptop. I Â have modified the query to get the results fast like With

This query runs instantly and result is not the same. Am I missing something here?

I have been working on a pretty ugly stored procedure recently, while debugging I added a char(10) to the end of each line of the SQL query so I could copy it to query analyzer(QA) and debug the SQL syntax output from of the stored procedure.
It had no effect on the stored procedure working, but when I copied the query to QA it got the error below, so I removed them all and added them in one line at a time to find the problem.
--Server: Msg 170, Level 15, State 1, Line 3
--Line 3: Incorrect syntax near ','.
Below are the 2 querys, the only difference is the Char(10) between Amt6 and Amt7!

I also tried char(13) with same results.
any ideas why this is happening or how to add line breaks for readability without this problem?

On a webpage, there are filters to choose from. Like date, amount, SSN (multiple filters can be choosen).I have a single query so far. I’m okay with simple queries but as I’m no expert and have failed to find perhaps the correct wording to describe this method, if at all possible to do, so I have come to ask here.
What I would like to do is take a column from a query and then break down that column into separate results.
So the full query results:
36,18/09/2007 10:00:00,NULL,000102000304,NULL
The column I would like to brake down is (Unique Reference Number):
000102000304
And I would like to break it down to get the last 2 parts (0003 and 04):
0001 | 02 | 0003 | 04
Is this possible to do?
If so where should I be looking or what should I be looking at?

Hi GuysI don't want to keep asking for your help all the time on each individualquery, so could you please help me to break the myths on the following:1) I have 2 tables. Once is called ACCOUNTS and the other ACCOUNTBUDGET.ACCOUNTS includes all of the usual details for customers and suppliers, egthe account code (as ACCOUNTID), the account name (as NAME), etc.ACCOUNTBUDGET basically holds a transaction line for each month and it'scorresponding year to store the turnover for that month, eg one row containsACCOUNTID, PERIOD (ie the month), YEAR and TURNOVER.Now a lot of the SQL 6.5 tables that I deal with are in this vein and theusual query is that I want to list all of the ACCOUNTIDs and NAMEs thatexist in the ACCOUNTS table and then show for example what their TURNOVER isfor a applicable PERIOD and YEAR, which are all held in the ACCOUNTSBUDGETtable.Now if I do a quick query using MS Query all I get are rows that haverelated values in both the ACCOUNTS and ACCOUNTSBUDGET table when I havespecified say a certain PERIOD and YEAR.The main point of my current reporting problem is that I want to show allthe ACCOUNTIDs and NAMEs in ACCOUNTS that have zero TURNOVER for aparticular PERIOD and YEAR.I'm positive that I have to create a 2 step query/join, but I don't know howto do it. I am trying to get the number of rows for each month.
table name:sitez

5 Jen .. 2014-11-21 .. 3
I am using the results to make a bar graph so I am querying the database for a given year and expecting 12 results back (running SQL 2012).
Select count(*) as ttl FROM sitez WHERE year(crdate) = 2014 and access = 1 group by all month(crdate)
This should return:
1
0
0
0
1
0
0
0
0
0
0
1
However when testing the script I was only getting back:
1
1
1
which didn't knowing which months were 0
By changing the GROUP BY to GROUP BY ALL, it now puts in the zeroes. However I'm still having issues with incorrect results.
When I query the database, the results for December 2014 shows '13' when I execute:
Select count(*) as ttl FROM sitez WHERE year(crdate) = 2014 and access =3 group by all month(crdate)
There are ZERO rows made with a year of 2014 and an access of 3.I verified this by going a straightforward select * from sitez where crdate = 2014 and access = 3
Why I'm seeing ghost results?
All I need is 12 results, ordered by crdate month.

I have a query that counts the number of pay checks received in a month, but I need to compare that to the number of actual paydays in a month. If we were on a set pay schedule (i.e. the 15th of each month) it would be easy. Unfortunately that's not the case. We are paid biweekly on Fridays and our last pay day was April 4th.
So I need to know how many pay periods were in a specified month. For example, April would have 2 (April 4th and 18th), May would have 3 (May 2nd, 16th, and 30th), etc.
As always, your help is very much appreciated!

First, I need to find the month which has the most records, I finally produced the correct results using this query but I am not convinced it's the most efficient way, can anyone offer a comment or advice here?
select top 1 count(id), datename(mm, AddDate) mth, datepart(yy, AddDate) yr

group by datename(mm, AddDate), datepart(yy, AddDate)

Also, I'm really having trouble trying to get the overall average of records per month. Can anyone suggest a query which will produce only one number as output?

I want to find out count of same UserID used within 7 days for that month.
For example, in below scenario, UserID 458's 1st TTo is 8/26/2015 and it used again on 8/28/2015 which is less than 7 so result should be 1. (DateDiff between 1st TTo and 2nd Tfrom should be less than 7) This is for month of Aug.

I need developing a query to get the average count by the following:
Day - use daily info for the last ??? days
Weekly - average
- Add all days and divide by 7
- As of Saturday midnight
Monthly - average
- Add all days and divide by days in the month
- As of last save on last day of month
Quarter - average
- Add all days and divide by number of days in the quarter
- As of last day of quarter
Year - average
I don't have requirements for year as of yet.
How can I get the avery count per these timeframes?

how to return the 3 month rolling average count per username? This means, that if jan = 4, feb = 5, mar = 5, then 3 month rolling average will be 7 in April. And if apr = 6, the May rolling average will be 8.
Columns are four:
username, current_tenure, move_in_date, and count.
DDL (create script generated by SSMS from sample table I created, which is why the move_in_date is in hex form. When run it's converted to date. Total size of table 22 rows, 4 columns.)

Hello what I'd like to display the following in a matrix report:
Parameter selected: 3 (March), 2008 (Year)
Monthly TO Summed up

... ... ...
So, in the rows I have the articles and in the column the selected month via parameter. In another column I need to sum up all monthly values up to the selected month, meaning in this example the sum of jan, feb and mar per article.

The following query returns a value of 0 for the unit percent when I do a count/subquery count. Is there a way to get the percent count using a subquery? Another section of the query using the sum() works.

Looking advice on how to query for just a single day of the month. Example is for billing sent on the same day of each month, need to get all accounts that started on that day of the month no matter which month. If a account started January 7th, and it is July 7th, I would like it to list all accounts that started on the 7th day of the month. The database has a start date field in short date format.

Hello,
I have made a query that does a cross-tab of data. The date data is normal like 02/04/2004, 03/04/2004 etc.
I am using Month Name to group the dates by Month name.
My problem is the query result sorts the month names in alphabetical order, not month order.
I am using the query to generate a graph and the months are not in order.
Is there a way to sort the months by month order not alphabetical order.

actually im using interbase but id like to know the equivalent SQL code so that i can explore how to do it in interbase.
i have a table with a date field. i would like to select all entries which belong to a certain month. this is how i do it:
"select * from table WHERE (cast(datefield as varchar) like :MNT)"
:MNT is a parameter equivalent to "1/%/2007" for example for january
can you please help me convert this statement to a valid query?
"select * from table where month of datefield in [month]"

Hi,I have a simple table called events, which lists the start and end dates of events. I'm using a calendar control that queries the db for events, but at the moment it does a check for every day by passing in the day. (Very inefficient) What I'd like to do is pass in the current month, and get a set of rows that have an event which is in that month. It sounds easy, but I'm a little confused about what to do if the event starts current month -1 and ends currentmonth +1 I obviously need to return results like these also.

I am writing a usage query, I need to determine what the current month and year is. If the current month is 1, then I need Year-1. I keep getting this error Line 5: Incorrect syntax near '='.
If I comment out the case statement just evaluate the (YEAR(User_Date) = YEAR(DATEADD(yy, - 1, GETDATE())))or (YEAR(User_Date) = YEAR(GETDATE())) by itself, the query works. What I am missing? HOWEVER, it will only do it if the order is older than 3 months old. Only 90 days/3 months max
how can i do that?
when i use where crcdate<90...it gives me error..
can anyone help me?
