Reset Total Page Number In A Group
Sep 26, 2006I know how to reset the page numbers with each group, but how do you reset the total page number within each group.
EX. Code for page of total pages

I have written the following code in Page header it shows RowCount for the Page only.

this will return something like:
zuperboy90 - 4 visits
ANONIMOUS - 6 visits
85.104.103 - 2 visits etc
how can i count the rows returned in both selections (4+6+2 = 12) ?

Counting Parent Records And Displaying Total??
Feb 5, 2004We have an helpdesk sytem on SQL 2000. I am trying to show how much calls have been assigned to each parent category plus it's child categories in a single row. The thing is when I run my query it display parent and child categories and each on it's own rows. I do get the call totals for each row, but I would like to add the totals of the rows together and display it on row. The new table must have then 6 rows (because there is 6 parent categories) with the total of all calls for that parent category, as well as it's childs. Example:
parameter # Calls

desktoppp 5
desktopqq 6 {This is what I am getting at this stage}

This is what I would like to have:

When I say incremental population It gives me warning that You can create full text indexes but can not execute queries against it as the database is still in SQL server 6.5 mode.What is the reason behind this?

Total 6 (I get this without any problem)
The problem I am having is trying to find out how many groups we have to use the value for some other calculation. So I did this Count(Field .Name) wich will give me 6 instead of 3 . The reason is in my dataset it will be something like that
Name add raise Period
Mike G Test 1 2000-2003
Mike G Test 1 2000-2003
Mike G Test 1 2004-2004
Mike G Test 1 2004-2007
Mike G Test2 1 2004-2007
Mike G Test2 1 2004-2007
If I do CountDistinct(Field .Name) it will give me 2 which is also wrong . So how can I count many groups we have. I spend a lot of time on this please help!

Large Number Of INSERT Statements - Not All Are Executed
Feb 9, 2007Hello!I have a developer that is playing around with some SQL statementsusing VB.NET. He has a test table in a SQL 2000 database, and he hasabout 2000 generated INSERT statements.When the 2000 INSERT statements are run in SQL query analyzer, all2000 rows are added to the table. When he tries to send the 2000statements to SQL Server through his app., a random number ofstatements do not get executed. But, SQL Profiler shows that each ofthe 2000 statements are getting sent to the server.I suggested that he add a "GO" statement at the end of the INSERTblock, but the statement fails when that is sent to the server.I know that this is not the ideal manner to insert bulk data to thesystem, but now we are all just curious as to why SQL server doesn'texecute each individual INSERT.Any thoughts?

I need to transform it into a table which gives a count of the number of subjects at each visit at the end of each month.
For example, in March there will be 1 subject at visit 2. In April, there will be a total of 2 subjects, 1 at visit 1 and 1 at visit 3. In May there will be 2 subjects, 1 at visit 3 and 1 at visit 2, etc.
Here is the table I was hoping to produce.

Reporting Services :: SSRS Report Show Blank Page When Executed From SharePoint
Sep 22, 2015I have a set of SSRS reports published on the server. It can be accessed through a web application or through SharePoint. Most of the reports work fine through both - web app and SharePoint. However, one of the report, which returns large amount of data has some problem:
1. It generates fine from web app
2. It generates fine from SharePoint; only if one or two values selected from Filter dropdown
3. However, if all items (about 20 items) selected from Filter dropdown... and click on View Report, it processes for a while and then shows nothing. The page remains blank.
Did some research and felt the problem is with Distributed Cache Service.
Tried restarting it; tried changing SPDistributedCacheClientSetting settings - requestTimeout, channelOpenTimeout... but didn't work.
I checked Event Viewer logs, SharePoint logs and SSRS logs but couldn't find any relevant error messages.
Total Of Your Counts In Select Queries
Mar 19, 2007I wrote a simple select query that counts the number of records I have in certain zip codes. How can I get a total of the "count" column at the bottom of the results? For example, my results may look like this:

I need to count and display the number of records which have GradeTitle="SHO". I'm only starting to use BI development studio and all attempts at using the built in aggregate functions have failed.
Also, the report I wish to create has a fixed number of columns and a fixed number of rows as the info being displayed is really only counting values in the DB. I tried using Table but multiple rows were created.
I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction, as searching this forum turned out to be pretty fruitless for me.

I have report in which I have created groups base on the customer name. Can anybody please tell me how to get the total page counts for the individual group? I have page break after every new group and I am able to reset page count to 1 when new group start but I am getting the total number of pages for a particular group.
For ex, let say I have 4 groups, 1 group has 3 page, 2 group has 2 pages and 3 group has 6 page and 4th group has 7 pages I need something like,
For 1st group
'Page 1 of 3€™ when user click next page it should be 'Page 2 of 3' etc
Similarly for other groups as wll.

How Do I Get Page Number For DBCC PAGE?
Feb 21, 2006I would like to look at the way my data is stored in the page. I have done this for a long time on Sybase, but I am having trouble with the page number on MS SQLServer 2000. I have a 5 row table. When I select INDID and FIRST from SYSINDEXES, I get

I have tried all manner of gyrations to put this in to the DBCC PAGE command. No matter how I do it, I get an error saying that page is not part of the database, or the format is wrong. From my searching and reading, I think that this actually a combination number, consisting of the file and page number, but I can't see how to separate it. Any assistance would be appreciated. A link to documentation on internals, such as system table details and page formats would be most helpful. I looked in Ken Henderson's book on architecture and internals, and could not find it.
Or is there a DBCC command that will tell me more about the table, and perhaps give me the page number in decimal? So far, I can only find the checkdb gives that info on errors only.

I am using SSRS (Sql server reporting services) for one of my report related to EIS-MIS.
i want group wise page numbering and also display the no. of pages for that particular group.
e.g suppose group 1 has 5 pages then it should display
page no. 1 /5, 2/5,3/5,4/5, 5/5. now suppose group change then it shold display 1/4 like this
I have already implemented groupwise page numbering using then custom code and i have call that function from the header portion of the report.
now the question is how can i display the total no. of pages in particular group?
For that i have add one count column in query itself but as we know we can't use field value in header and footer portion and also we can't use global variables in data portion.
So kindly guide me
