I have a column of data on my report that contains an email address. Is it possible to format this so that the person running the report can just click on the link and have that action launch their email program...like Outlook?

I have set up a test subscription that sends an email that includes both the report and the url link to the report. However, the report does not render when user clicks on url link in subscription email. The parameter toolbar sorta appears at top of page but buttons are not showing correcty. I saw similiar issue posted in another forum but no one had resolved yet. We all noticed that the subscription email uses /reportserver folder instead of /Reports folder.
The report does appear fine in the email so I believe the problem is the URL.
Can anyone tell me how to resolve?

When I set up an email subscription for a report, I can get the email notification if I only include a link to the report, but get the generic "Failure sending mail: The report server has encountered a configuration error. See the report server log files for more information." error message when I attempt to include the actual report in the email; either as "Web Archive," or PDF." When I consult the ReportServer log file, I do not see any sort of exception that would indicate the true source of the error.
I have set the file security on the RSTempFiles folder to allow the IIS_WPG group to modify the folder, but when I looked into the RS config files, it looked as though SSRS wasn't configured to use temporary storage.
Any suggestions?

I am trying to create a dts to schedule some reports and email it. The point is that i try to do that through Data Flow > Export to Excel....!!! Is there an other way to create reports?? Cause i don't see any crystal reports or somenthing else!!!

I need to create a basic report that displays the userid, username, email, status and need to update the status column to enabled when we select any particular username. And the username parameter comes from the available users from the database. How to do this?
Do I need to mention the where clause where username=@username in the query or we don't need any

Basically first I need to find the userid, username, accountstatus, email for a given particular user. Then I need to update the accountstatus to enabled for that selected user.
Also I need to create auditing that from before update and after update the accountstatus.
I'm generating emails using sp_send_dbmail. Everything works perfectly except for one thing. In the body of the email I need to show a link to a web page (eg http://myweb/login.aspx).
The problem is that the received email shows the "link" as plain text, ie it is not a clickable link. I've tried adding char(13) (and char(10) and both) after the link text but that doesn't help.
Is there a way to make the link text a real link when received by Outlook? (All recipients will be using Outlook if that helps).

I have a report that gets sends out through a subscription and sometimes the report has multiple pages and all those pages appear within one email.Is it possible to set the subscription in such a way that an email is sent per page when the subscription executes.

I followed a MSDN article found at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345226.aspx but I cannot find the " Select a page area, select Drill-through reports" option in report manager. Does anyone have a better explanation on how to do this? I'm assuming that when you create the clickthrough report there has to some sore of filter on it that relates to the item of the clickthrough. I guess I'm I little confused, any help would be great. Thanks.

get this error whenever we try to run a report with the report
attached. However, the email sends fine if the report is not attached.
Reports can also be exported into different formats without problem when viewing the report through report manager.

Can somebody please help me, how to create database link to Oracle from MsSqlServer200.
Ex:
If I want to view data in both databases at a time then query would be like the following:
dblink name : SqltoOraclelink
table Name : EMP (this could be available in both the databases)
query in MsSqlServer200 EnterpriseManger:
select empname, empno from EMP msemp, emp@SqltoOracle oraemp where msemp.empname = oraemp.empname
Then this query results the rows from both the databases where empname is same in both the tables
My question is: How can I create this Database link "SqltoOraclelink" as I can do the same thing in Oracle.
As this is in urgency, it would be greate if somebody help us asap.

I use ms sql server 2005, and I have a problem
I have a dataBase where I have a lot of data, I have a webServices which calculate indicator for a time period and an id indicator. The time period must be specific and choose by the user, so I can't dto automatically by integrating the data from my webService in a dataBase (with IntegrationServices).
So I create a report with 2 dataset, one which recover the indicator value for each equipment (the webService send a list of {<idEquipment> and <value>}) , and I want to link the idEquipment with the IdEquipement in my dataBase, it would allow me to know other informations about the equipment :
equipement ID | Indicator value (from webServices) | equipment name | eq number | cumul of event duration for this eq....
All in the same grid...
Does it possible ?

Recently, several of our users have started to experience issues with hyperlinks in a report. I have created a textbox added navigation and selected the report to 'jump to' and the users are getting this error:
The specified server url does not link to the report server for this report manager or is not in the correct format
I have changed this to a an url but the error persists - there is nothing on google or MSDN that i can find which relates to this error so im kinda stuck with this one! The error is not affecting all users, just a small subset of them. Each of the users has different AD rights with one of them being a Domain Admin so i dont think it is a security issue.
the hyperlink which is being built is this :

I am working on a Actuals vs Budget report which needs drillthrough capability. Right now the reports are not deployed, I am working on them in Visual Studio 2005.
My main report has a text box with the Navigation tab set to Jump to report: DrillThrough1025. I have set all the parameters to pass through to the drill through report.
When I preview my main report and click on the drillthrough textbox, the DrillThrough1025 Report opens, but it opens with the parameter bar at the top, waiting for the parameters to be filled in.
Am I making a basic newbie error somewhere?
Any ideas, references, or resources would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to combine the Bookmark and report link functionalities in reporting services. For example, I have two reports. When I click a link in first report, I would like to be able to navigate to second report but not at the top of the report but at a particular report item way down in the second report, sort of like an anchor on an HTML page. Can I do this?

In a report called ICD_PrivateHospital, I have designed to show output to two table from two store procedures. 1st store proc: usp_RPT_Private and 2nd store proc: usp_RPT_Private2.
I have created both the store procs and it is executing successfully. I also have designed the Crystal Report in Visual Studio 2008.
I have added both the store procs in the crystal report with no error. I only wants to show top 20 records. It is running successfully when I add the fields and parameters from the first store procedure. But when I add the 2nd store procedures fields into the report, duplication occurs for both the results in store proc 1 and store proc 2. How to solve this issue?
I've created a line chart in my report which lists number of transactions by month. I've also created a report to list transactions by day. My goal is for the user to select a month and link the report to the graph with the selected month divided up into days (in other words, the user wants to see the number of transactions for each day in the selected month).
Anyway, everything is working perfectly except for one thing. In the list of parameters that I am passing to the report for each day, I want to pass a multivalue parameter which contains all the transaction IDs the user selected in creating the report (these are supplied by a multivalue parameter). However, in the parameter dialog box where it asks for a value to send to the awaiting parameter, I do not know how to supply more than one value. If I need to pass one value, it will work fine. However, I would like to do something like:
JOIN(Parameters!TransactionID.value, ",")
for the value of TransactionID, but when I generate the report it is not accepting the values. I'm pretty sure its just a format issue, and I just need to know how exactly I should pass these values.
I already understand that when passing multivalue parameters in a URL you need something like:
TransactionID=1&TransactionID=2
...in order to select multiple values. However, this is a slightly different situation. I'm really running out of ideas, so any help would be much appreciated.

How can I turn this query into an Email alert if one of the counts are GT 50. The Source are machines that I capture counts(Unprocessed_Cntr) from every 5 minutes and load to the Load_Time_Capture table. I also add a datetime to each capture(Unprocessed_Capture ).
If any individual source has a count > 50 or if the combined(ALL) GT 50 send an email to support person.

I tried the following:

The link works & i added the parameter in the link (ProcessNo=278)
it opens the report but i still have to manually insert the Parameter.
Also tried setting the parameter as hidden.
How do i bypass this?

I have a server which does not include the correct link with the subsciptions.
I create a subscription and ask to include the link to the reporet, I get the report with the machine name instead of the DNS name.
i.e. i get
The report is accessible at the following address:
http://atlanta/reportserver/...
instead of http://reporting.onsemi.com/reports/....
I tried to edit rswebapplication.config like that
<ReportServerUrl>reporting.onsemi.com</ReportServerUrl>
and rsreportserver.config like that
<DefaultHostName>onsemi.com</DefaultHostName>
but still cannot get the correct URL in the subscription.
Any idea?
