DTS Error - Error String: The Parameter Is Incorrect.

HELP! im running this sql and get the following error - If i manually start the dts package it is fine....also if i use DTSrun from my pc it also works ok..
I'm having a problem with my SQL 7.0 (SP2) server running on NT4 (SP6a). When I use Enterprise Manager on my NT4 workstation (SP6) and I try to double click a local DTS package to go into the design view I get the following error message:
Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Error Description: The parameter is incorrect
If I log on to the actual server and run Enteprise Manager everything is o.k It is not a permissioning problem as I'm logging in with domain Admin in both cases. Any ideas ?
I'm running SqlServer 2000 and am trying to write a DTS. For some reason I keep getting that error for my Dynamic Property Task and not sure why. I've tried giving my Package a password like was mentioned in another thread on here, but that didn't work either.
I'm trying to dynamically set a Data Source for an Excel connected, using a query.

The Stored Procedure runs great on its own, it displays a list of filenames with the .xls extension in the desired directory, which is what I want. It should put the first in the list((if there is more than one)) as the datasource, but it doesn't.
When I go to the "Add/Edit Assignment" window for it, and push "Refresh" to preview it, it gives me a "The Parameter Is Incorrect".
Any help would be much appreciated, this has had me stumped for quite some time.
I have some DTS Shedules on SQL 7.0 SP1 . All shcedule was running properly . When I made some changes in an SQL Task and saved it the shedule starts to fail. It gives me an error "DTS RUN LOAding Error- 2147024809(80070057)Ptovider Error (0) Error String : The parameter is incorrect etc) But All my DTS is running smoothly without error Only the schedule fails. Please help me.
Could someone please help me!!! I am using a multi-value parameter in SQL 2005 reports and am getting the following error message:
An error has occured during report processing. Qiery execution failed for dataset an expression of non-boolean type specified in a context where condition is expected, near ',' Incorrect syntax near keyword else.
The multi-value parameter works when it isn't run in the if, else clause i checked the where clause with a single paramter and it works OK. I don't understand what is causing this problem but I really need to fix it. Here is my query.

i have migrated a DTS package wherein it consists of SQL task.
this has been migrated succesfully. but when i execute the package, i am getting the error with Excute SQL task which consists of Store Procedure excution.
But the SP can executed in the client server. can any body help in this regard.

The sproc works just fine when I execute it from the database directly in SQl Express. What could cause an incorrect syntax error? There's hardly any syntax there for an error to occur Thanks for any help you can give me.
hi. i am relatively new to sql. i am wondering how to resolve my "incorrect syntax error" on an IP Address string i am trying to add. the table has IPAddress as data type "text" and length 16 (which won't let me change the length). It seems that sql is looking for a data type with no more than one decimal (money, float, etc). How do i resolve this? thanks in advance. Peter

I am moving along but I still get this pesky error. In a field on the user form for comments - when there is a ' character - I get this syntax error. But, I have removed the ' character with this code: fieldname= Replace(Request.Form("fieldname"), "'", " ")
So how do I get rid of this error? Beats me. Anyone know of resources I can read about this?

Now, the actual error I'm getting is "Incorrect syntax near ')'." that is refering to the link of code "retvalue = myCommand2.ExecuteNonQuery()". I've played around with the code a little bit but I just can't seem to make that error go away.
My only guess is that in the "myInsertQuery" I should have "VALUE (...", but I'm not sure what to put there.
If anyone could make any suggestions on what I might want to try, or if you think that you need more information please let me know.

Hi I am using JDBC driver version "1.0.809.102". In the ms sqlserver 2000 database I am acessing there is a table named as "CDR_DATA_2007-09-12". When I run the following query "select * from CDR_DATA_2007-09-12" i get the following exception. Please help me out to solve this problem.

I hope this is clear, just trying to suppy all of the information! The error appears to be saying that I have an issue with my code-behind, where i am telling the sqlDataSource above to UPDATE. What I can say is that for each button in the repeater, the 2 variables 'friend_id' and 'answer' are picking up the correct values. Can anyone see any obvious problems here? Any help is very much appreciated as i am well and truley stuck!
