I would like to display an asp page in a Reporting Services report. However, I do not want to have to click a button and navigate to it. I just want to display it sort of like a subreport. Is this possible?

I've installed SQL Server Express Edition and Reporting Services on my
PC running Windows XP Pro SP2. When I point the browser to localhost
eports I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display web page" page.
At home I've been following the excellent video series on the msdn
website for SQL Server Express everything worked okay at home, this is
on my work PC.
I've checked reporting services service is running and that the
reports virtual directory is in my IIS configuration.
At work I had been following a Ms Visual Web Developer tutorial, I'm
still able to view this site, so my web server is running.
I've also uninstalled SQL Server incl reports and tools and
reinstalled but still have problem.
I did notice that the report and reportserver virtual directories
security is set integrated windows autentication (as is my working
system at home) if I change to anonymous access the page loads but
only the 'SQL Server Reporting Services' title in the top left. No
menu options appear below?
I was beginning to think it's something to do with my securiy setup
because of this so I compared the security groups generated by reporting services
with my home pc and my work pc both exactly the same:
SQLServer2005ReportingServicesWebServiceUser$mypc$SQLEXPRESS
user: ASP NET
SQLServer2005ReportServerUser$mypc$SQLEXPRESS
user:NT AuthorityNetwork Service
I've also checked the problems listed on:

Does anyone know of a good resource for displaying data to an excel file from a SQL stored procedure. I'm working with VS 2005 and I have a webpage that will retrieve data from SQL 2000 and display it to an excel file. All examples I've found on the net was not exactly what I was looking for.

I have a Login page which asks a user for a Password (just a Password - not a Username/Password combo). The Password then is verified against my MS SQL table. If the password (unique for each user) is correct, the user is redirected to my Survey.asp page.
What is the proper code I need to display "Welcome Username" on my Survey.asp page? My SQL table does have a column titled "Username".
I know this has to be fairly simple but I'm a marketing person and not a programmer. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a simple report that has nothing but an image. The image is part of the project. The image displays in the VS 2005 dev environment when report is previewed. But when deployed and run on the report server website, it does not display. If the report is print previewed or exported to Excel, the image displays. I've set my browser to have the least security as possible but still to no avail (made the website trusted as well). The server is running SQL Server 2005 SP2. My browser is IE7. Can anyone please help? Thanks.

I am developing some reports for an ASP.NET solution, but my IDE does not display the design view of the reports. Instead, it only displays the XML definition even when I click View Designer. Yesterday the reports showed up correctly, and I know that the design view is there. Is there a setting that has been changed somewhere?
I am trying to display a report parameter value in the report body, but when I run the report it is displaying the actual dimensional value [Product].[Category]&1 instead of the value that user has selected "Bikes". The report is built on Analysis Service data mart.
Environment: SQL Server 2005 - Analysis Services & Reporting Services.
How would I fix this issue?

I used insert command to insert a image file to my SQL like
insert [ABC].[dbo].[Itemimage] value ('12345', 'c:Imagepicture1.jpg'). but when I use report
design to read this DB, I can't show this image in my report.
Does anybody can help me to find out my error?

My idea is to create one main report. Now, depending on the parameters the report is receiving, my matrix will shift and change groups/rows.
For example, using only one dataset:
Client1 sees only activities/costs
Client2 sees activity/costs/blabla1/blabla2
Client3 sees activity/costs/subtotal for costs/blabla1/blabla2/blabla3
Basically, without having to create various reports, I will have one major, dynamic report.
The best that I have accomplished is hiding the non-wanted column, although the end result isn€™t good.

When I open a report in Report Server it opens up with the parameter area open, showing available paramater lists.
However when I call the same report from another report the parameter area is closed. I would like the default behavior to be the same - an open parameter display area.
Is this possible?

Hello All,
I have 4 subreports that I need to display in the main report. I can pull a sub-report with in the main report howevere the subreport doesn't display any data. It just gives me a blank template like:
Customer name Customer # Address 1 Address2 city
The subreport itself is not empty when I open it otherwise it shows me a list of all the customers however, no data when I call it as a part of main report.
Can anyone suggest me on this one?

I have a matrix contained inside a rectangle. When the report is published, a fraction of the last column of matrix is stripped out, about 0.2 cm of it. When I hit Refresh, the report renders properly displaying the last matrix column in its entirety. Any ideas why its doing that?

Using the Report Builder, the users need to generate a report in which one of the columns should have a hyperlink that navigates to a particular aspx page.
Now, I am able to provide for a hyperlink enabled column from the static reports designed using the Report Server Project. I have used the Navigation --> Jump To URL property of TextBox for this.
But the users dont want to depend on static reports and need this to be available via Report Builder.
I tried to provide for the <a href="somepage.aspx">xxx</a> from the named query in the datasource view, but when I run the report, the Reporting Service HTMLEncodes the tags and displays everything as text.
Is there a way to generate a hyperlink using Report Builder.

I have the following situation.
I create reports based on report models
In one of my reports i use different parameters
- Date selection : datefrom and dateto
- multivalue selection : list of users
In my report i display the selected parameters
I use the following expression to display my selected users :
="Selected Users: " & join(Parameters!Users.label, " - ")
When i select a time frame (from date 1/5/2007 to 15/5/2007) and i select "All Users"
my expression returns all the users but doesn't take the time frame in considiration.
example : my expression returns : user A, user B, user C, user D, user E
but in my time frame in only have data for user A, user C and user E
is the a way to limit my expression to display only the users where there is data available for ?

I know I can display the time that the report was generated, but can I display how LONG it took for the report to complete?
From when the first query was executed to the time all the data was returned and/or the time it took for the report to be rendered back to the end user?

I was wondering if there was a way to display the "other" total that does not appear in a TopN report.
I.e. I display the Top 10 records
I would then like a row saying "All Others" and the subtotal of the non Top 10 records
I would also like to display a Total of the TopN records and what % of the overall that amounts to
Simple example.....

I searched in the previous posting but can't find any or miss them. We have a few databases that users can run reports from, i.e. production, training & development. Is there any way, say put it in either in the header or footer, to display from which database that the report are running from? Sometimes they got confused whether the data is current or like few days old.

I am using SQL 2000 SP4 and Report Server SP2 on W2k3 SP1 Server.
I am having trouble displaying the report pages if I am connected from the Internet.
I have no problem if I am connected in the office (Intranet).
The frame that is not show is underneath the New Subscription bar in my report page. I can see everything above (header pages etc) and Home page etc.
I think for some reasons the request frame URL page is still https://myserver/Repor... instead https://myserver.mycompany.com/Report...

PS: Also I am able to deploy only from the Intranet with Target Server URL https://myserver/ReportServer
If I setup VS.NET deploy Target Server URL https://myserver.mycompany.com/ReportServer it comes up with "A connection could not be made ..."
If I open the Browser from the Intranet I can see the reports pages even if with https://myserver.mycompany.com/Reports...
but it ask me for Username / Password.
How can I tell VS.NET when deploy to use username/password?

I am using Sql server reporting services.When i have create a report .rdl file and deploy it on Report server and than display that report on my application's .aspx page in pdf format using web services , every thing is perfactly working in my senario at the starting time but now i faced a problem with that. When record goes more than 2000 (in my senario a single record disply in a one report pdf page means for 2000 record in table that means its display in 2000 pdf page as with next forward option of pdf view),So in that cas it doesn't work, did now show any report and give the error as

Null date values within a table in SQL Server are displays as (12/30/1899) by Report Builder. Does anyone know how to display the null value as blank?

I have a report that is built using the report builder and the report model that was created.
With the fields that are displayed in the report, it could be possible for the database to have multiple rows with the same values for all the fields (that are displayed in the report). The PK will be different, but this is not displayed in the report as the PK won't make sense in the report.
So what happens is that the report displays just 1 record even though the database has multiple records because all the fields (that are displayed in the report) are identical. Is there a way to make the report display all the rows irrespective of duplicates?

I'm trying to embed a report into a CRM IFrame. So I have the report created in Business Intelligence Visual Studio 2005, but I need to display it with none of the header details SRS displays by default.
Using the following URL I included rc:toolbar=false and rcarameters=false but they don't seem to make any difference. I basically need to display the report content as if it were part of that page and not an SRS hosted page.

I have a report that displays many duplicate rows where all fields in several rows are exact duplicates. I would like to know how to make it so that the entire row does not show up if it is an exact duplicate of another row. Any ideas? Thanks.
