Each Time I Build Program, Data Is Lost

I am using visual basic 2008
I am making a program, I used sql server compact edition (sdf) (i think it is no more only for mobile device, I am working for desktop application)which i created with the same visual basic. i update data by using table adapters,
when I close the program and build again, the data previosly updated are deleted, and I get empty database?? why is that. do i need to set some copy to.........properties. i have used copy if new.

Build Errors With The Code!!

I'm new to SQL Server RS.
I'm getting build errors after writing the following code:
List<ReportParameter> reportParam = new List<ReportParameter>(); reportParam.Add(new ReportParameter("Database", connectionString)); reportParam.Add(new ReportParameter("master_dept", hidMasterDept.Value.ToString().Trim())); reportParam.Add(new ReportParameter("station_id", hidStationId.Value.ToString().Trim())); reportViewer.ServerReport.SetParameters(reportParam)
The error message is as follows:
No overload for method 'ReportParameter' takes '2' arguments
But when I build the page using "Build Page" command from the menu, it builds successfully and then the project build succeeds.
When I modify any other page and build the solution, the same build error for this page occurs again.
Any idea how to resolve this? Been spending a lot of time figuring this out.

Build Parameter From C#/Custom Code

Is it possible to add a multivalued parameter to a report from C#? I already have a C# .dll which I reference in the report. If so, could someone give some hints on how to do it?
As I searched the net for an answer to this, I came across ReportExecutionService. It looks like it's what I want, but I cant find the dll to reference in order to used this class. Does anyone know?
If it is not possible to do this from C#, then can someone please give an example on how to do it from Custom Code?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes, after a new release, before the full blown Administrator's Companion book is published? we have automated build on every night. In our solution is SSIS project, where each package is encrypted per password. We call build process per command line like this..

Through build process we get a error:

We think a reason is, that on build of SSIS project must be entered a password. You can wonder for what we need that SSIS packages are part of our build. We hope that on build process is also created Deployment Utility, if so set in dtproject.user. Is it so? Is there any way to create Deployment utility on automated build process? Can be a password provided pre command line?

This code was originally programmed in the SQL Server ActiveX Task type in a DTS package designed to take an open-ended number of SQL statements generated by another task as input, then execute each SQL statement sequentially. Upon this code's success, move on to the next step. (Of course, there was no additional documentation with this code. :-)
Based on other postings, I attempted to push this code into a Visual Studio BI 2005 Script Task with the following change:

I get the following error when I attempt to compile this:
Error 30209: Option Strict On requires all variable declarations to have an 'As' clause.
I am new to Visual Basic, so I'm on a learning curve here. From what I know of this script:
- The variables here violate the new Option Strict On requirement in VS 2005 to declare what type of object your variable is supposed to use.
- I need to explicitly declare each object, unless I turn off the Option Strict On (which didn't seem recommended, based on what I read).

I'm looking at "i" as type Integer; rs and sSQL are open-ended arrays, but can't quite figure out how to read the code here:

How To Show Description In Report Instead Of Code (Desc For Code Is In Master Table)

I am having 2 Tables.
Table 1: AddressBook
Fields --> User Name, Address, CountryCode
Table 2: Country
Fields --> Country Code, Country Name
Step 1 : I have created a Cube with these two tables using SSAS.
Step 2 : I have created a report in SSRS showing Address list.
The Column in the report are User Name, Address, Country Name
But I have no idea, how to convert this Country Code to Country name.
I am generating the report using the Layout tab. ( Data | Layout | Preview ) Report1.rdl [Design]
Anyone help me to solve this issue. Because, in our project most of the transaction tables have Code and Code description in master table. I need to convert all code into corresponding description in all my reports.

I recently attended MOC (Microsfot Official Curriculum) training on SQL Server and have started to use at my company. I am comfortable with SQL but want to dig deeper into T-SQL side. I searched on the Internet but not many good books available in that either they are ranked very low or are very old i.e. written around 1999/2000 or covers SQL Server 2000 as a whole. Can anybody suggest me any T-SQL book which was written recently and focuses purely or majorly on T-SQL?
