Error -2147467259 In Open Method

We have a SQL Server 2000 in a Windows 2003 Server, and we were working very well with the VB 6.0, but after an update in the Windows 2003, the Open method in ADO results in an error -2147467259 sometimes, but if we try the same code in a computer with another domain there are not any problem, some advice?

Few times a month it fails with

I am running an eCommerce website using SQL Server 2000, as of last week it was working just fine, today I try to access the sight and I get the following error below.
I haven't changed anything on the server, the SQL Server services is running so is the agent.

Hello,
I am importing an excel spreadsheet into SQL Server 2000. The dts package runs perfectly when you execute it under the Local Package pane.
My problem is when i schedule a job to execute the DTS package giving me the same error. I can only successfully execute the package under local Packages. Under Jobs i receive this error:

I'm not sure if I'm even starting at the right place.
We have a web portal that we use to send email TSN Templates. When we press this link, it queries our SQL database but then times out. When we go to our logs to see waht has happened, this is what we get: Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So far nothing strange. We started experiencing problems when the end-users get an "Unspecified error" which later debugging it we got the href value inside the exception object is -2147467259 and nothing else. And if that wasn't enough I couldn't replicate the error in my pocket.
The only way I got the same error was removing the SD Card where the db is located at the same time the application was still open.
Does anybody experienced the same problem??? I researched about this kind of errors "when the device is just restored from the suspend mode" but with out luck.
Please, I really appreciate any help with this issue. Any comment will be more than welcome.

Whenever I open a .sql file in QA, the dialog box always displays the files in the 'list' format (you need to scroll side-to-side to see the files). However, I prefer the 'details' format, where I can see the file size and the date created (and sort by them).
Does anyone know how to change the default so I can open files the way I want to open them?

Hi All,
I've had a DTS Package scheduled to run every morning since June last year, however on Monday and again this morning, the DTS package has failed on two of its steps. This DTS package runs on SQL Server 2000 and the server is a Windows 2000 Server.
Basically, the DTS Package steps that fail are populating a "cache" table from a "live" table and then performing Inserts / Updates on the "live" table from a CSV file depending upon whether data exists in the "cache" table and whether the CSV file contains an "Insert" or "Update" flag. The live table has just over 800,000 rows of data and our nightly CSV extract, containing both inserts and updates, has about 6000 rows.
The error / failure has only happened in the last two days and I'm not too sure if there's any "timeout" feature in DTS and if there is, how I can modify it, or whether this may be something to do with long transactions or temp dbspace running out.
The time that the DTS package runs was modified last week to run two hours earlier (03:00 instead of 05:00) and has ran okay for a few days. I don't know whether this change is a red herring, as I have checked other DTS packages on the machine and none appear to run at the same time.

We have workstations that log into our domain with Windows Authentication. The software loads just fine and then later up pops the error noted above.

I'm trying to create a simple Data transfermation. I have a flat file that came of a unix server.. it's 177 bytes wide.. thought it was 175, but when I created the flat file connector, I could see some extra characters on the end.
My output is going to be an excel spreadsheet, I only want two columns from the input. I created an oledb jet 4.0 connection. and followed instructions from here :

On my first attempt to dataflow, I ran into unicode errors and had to do this:
ran into a problem with unicode errors. went to the source for the flat file. for the output column in question changed to Unicode string [DT_WSTR].
When I run , here are the errors I get:
[OLE DB Destination [513]] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E09. [DTS.Pipeline]

I have one table "ItemMaster" in my database.There is no relationship with this table,it is standalone.I am updating its values from Windows Mobile Device.
I am performing below operations for that.
Step : 1 Pull To Mobile

So i am getting an error on 3rd step.
While i am trying to push it says,

I have tried it in different ways but still i am getting this error.
Note : Synchronization is working fine.There is not issue with my IIS,SQL CE & SQL Server 2k.
Can any one help me?I am trying for that since last 3 days.

I have a gridview and a dataset. When I start my application I see the results in my gridview. Hi,
I have a strange problem with calling packages from c# code. Packages start to execute, but never finish. Instead an error occures in eventlog:
(message is translated into english so it can sound a bit different)
Erring application AppName.exe, version 1.0.0.0, timestamp 0x4784c811, erring module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, timestamp 0x4549d372, exception code 0xc0000374, error shift 0x00000000000c87b7, process ID 0x1284, application start time 0x01c852ceb26bbad3.
In debuger, execution stoppes on line "DTSExecResult res = dtsPkg.Execute();", but no error is showed.
This behaviour occured unexpectally. Application worked correctly and in a minute I wasn´t able to execute any package from an application. I also tryed it from another computer and got the same error. Calling packages directly from management studio works fine.

I've got a CLR stored proc I'm trying to deploy to SQL2005, when I try to debug it I get the error message:
Method, property or field 'usp_Evaluate_eTranscript' of class 'ACS_eTranscripts.StoredProcedures' in assembly 'ACS_eTranscripts' is not static.
The class & procedure are declared:

So, is this a Catch 22 or what am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a major project and I am woefully behind because of emergency surgery.

Has there been any fix for this bug? The workaround in the KB article did not work for me and I cannot run my entire application from the Windows directory even if it did.

I export data from a dozen tables of one database to another database on another server regularly and it works well. However, if i choose the option of "save SSIS package", I get the following error:

"Error 80040E2F. A duplicate value cannot be inserted into a unique index [Table name=_SysRDASubscriptions, Constraint name=c_LocalTableName]"
I'm using SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition and still cannot solve the problem although the KB article (920272) said it is fixed in V3.1.
What I need to do is to drop a table and then Pull it again to the PDA but it gives me that error message during pull method. However, I can use the same process to drop and pull other tables and works fine. Will that be the problem related to primary key or to the data of the table?

I'm trying to create a few report models in Visual Studio to demonstrate the Report Builder tool and I'm encountering an issue when I try to generate a Report Model.
I get the error message "Specified Method Is Not Supported" when I click Finish on the Report Model wizard. The error detail is:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new Report Model project in Visual Studio 2005 against SQL Server 2005
2. Create a new data source. The data source was tested and works correctly
3. Create a new data source view. The data source view was also tested (clicked on Explore Data) and I was able to look at the data in the view
4. Right-click on Report Models and select "Add New Report Model"
5. Click next at the welcome screen
6. Select the data source view created in #3
7. Leave the selected options for report model generation rules for creating the data source view
(Create Entities for all Tables, Create Count Aggregates, Create Attributes, Create Attributes for auto-increment columns, Create date variations, Create numeric aggregates, Create date aggregates, Create roles were all selected)
8. Click next
9. Select Update Model Statistics Before Generating (default option)
10. Click next
11. Click Run
Once I click run it processes for approx 3 seconds and then returns the error above.
If anyone could help me I'd appreciate it. Microsoft hasn't published any details on the namespace and I'm not sure why I'd be getting the error I am.

Hello,
I have a Data Flow Task within an SSIS package where data is pulled from a Fixed Width flat file, goes through a conditional split, and sends data either to a SQL Server 2000 table, or to another fixed width flat file.
The first condition in the conditional split checks for the following; [Column 44] + [Column 45] != "D1" . If this is true, then those rows go to a SQL Server 2000 table destination. If false, then the rows go to another flat file.
The SQL Server 2000 table has a unique nonclustered index with ignore_dup_key. From what I can tell, it looks like the step fails when a duplicate record is encountered. However, it appears that the unique records still go into the table.
When I check the 'Progress' tab of the package, the following steps seem to be suspect;
[Populate Staging [786]] Information: The final commit for the data insertion has started.
[Populate Staging [786]] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "Duplicate key was ignored.".
[Populate Staging [786]] Information: The final commit for the data insertion has ended.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: The ProcessInput method on component "Populate Staging" (786) failed with error code 0xC0202009. The identified component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: Thread "WorkThread0" has exited with error code 0xC0202009.
[DTS.Pipeline] Information: Post Execute phase is beginning.

Task 2 Isolate Suspect Records and Insert Known Good Records failed
In one case, the source flat file had 74,101 rows. Each row tested true in the conditional split, and all but one row made it into the SQL Server table. The step failed, and the 'Progess' section containted the entries mentioned above.
The Connection Manager for the SQL Server table destination uses the Native OLE DBMicrosoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server.
Is the 'error' that occurs when a duplicate row is encountered causing the Data Flow task to fail, or could it be something else?

I've been trying to create an async transform component and one of the things I'd like to do is add a new output and/or columns to existing outputs for each input column that is selected.
I thought that the SetUsageType method would be a good place to do this as it will allow me to delete output's and columns based on the user's selections but, despite the fact that my code doesn't actually throw or cause errors, when I return from the SetUsageType method I'm informed that error 0xC0047041 (DTS_E_OBJECTNOTINHASHTABLE) has occurred .
I pared the method down to an absolute minimum and found that a call to GetVirtualInput is enough to push it over the edge even if it does nothing! What is wrong here?

I trying to import from fixed width text files that may contain one or more empty rows at the bottom of the file (where an empty row is {CR}{LF}). By experimenting, I found it runs successfully with up to 32 blank rows, but with any more I get this:

I have a SQL Server Agent job with a step to execute an SSIS package. The package has as one of it's connection managers the Connection Manager For Excel Files. When I run the job it fails every time. I have implemented logging and in the OnError event it states "The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "LOBMappingExcel" failed with error code 0xC0202009".

I have problem with LINQ. I have created SQL Server 2005 database Database.mdf in App_Data folder with two tables - Pages and PagesGroups. Table Pages consist of fields PageID, AspxForm, DescriptionEN, DescriptionPL, PagesGroupID, NavNameEN, NavNamePL, PageActive, NavToolTipEN, NavToolTipPL and table PagesGroups consist of PagesGroupID, NavGroupNameEN, NavGroupNamePL, NavGroupToolTipEN, NavGroupToolTipPL, GroupDescriptionPL, GroupDescriptionEN, GroupActive. I added example rows.
