Error : 806 -- Could Not Find Virtual Page...

May 19, 1999

at SQL Server startup, in error log:
Error : 806, Severity: 21, State: 1
Could not find virtual page for logical page <number> in database 'EMGTEST'

Error : 3414, Severity: 21, State: 1
Database 'EMGTEST' (dbid 7): Recovery failed. Please contact Technical Support for further instructions.

Database 'EMGTEST' cannot be opened - it has been marked SUSPECT by recovery. The SA can drop the database with DBCC.

.....

I reset status to Emergency mode (sysdatabases.status = -32768),
run dbcc checkdb, dbcc newalloc, dbcc textall...it all looks just fine.
I also changed database status to 12 (sysdatabases.status = 12 - select into/bulkcopy and trunc. log on chkpt.) and then run dbcc checkdb, dbcc newalloc, dbcc textall again. looked just fine.
but, if I restarted server , database will be marked 'suspect' again, because of Error 806.

any ideas?

Thanks.

System Was Low On Virtual Memory Error

Hi,
Is there any setting in IS that I should have adjusted in order to avoid this message?

SQL 2012 :: Can't Find Object From Page ID

Sep 17, 2014

I got an error that says to run DBCC CHECKTABLE, but I can't find what table it is. It gives the db id and page Id. I ran DBCC PAGE but I could not figure out what object is using that page. I posted the error and dbcc page results below. Also, Slot 74 is not missing. I could not find m_objId or AllocUnitId in any system tables . Also, I got the same error for this db several other times. When I ran dbcc checkdb I did not get any errors. This is a SQL 2012 db created by SharePoint.

Why is m_nextPage and m_prevPage = (0:0) ?

Does the m_type=3 change how a page is linked?

I found Type 3 – text mix page. A text page that holds small chunks of LOB values plus internal parts of text tree. These can be shared between LOB values in the same partition of an index or heap.

Error2 from log--
Message
The Database ID 7, Page (1:14002), slot 74 for LOB data type node does not exist. This is usually caused by transactions that can read uncommitted data on a data page. Run DBCC CHECKTABLE.

Unexpected Internal Error When Querying Virtual Cube Via DTS

May 6, 2008

I have a DTS package in SQL Server 2000 which brings together data from different sources, including from an Analysis Servcies cube, and compares it.
Usually this runs perfectly, but sometimes I get an unexpected internal error from the Data Pump task which queries the cube - no other information, just the error.

This is usually when I have run the package once (manually from Enterprise Manager), then changed a global variable and run it again.

The cube it is querying is a virtual cube and the measures are calculated cells (NOT calculated members).

We are on SP4 of AS so should be up to date.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Error [I/O Error (bad Page ID) Detected During Read At Offset 0x000001ad65a000

Feb 24, 2005

When we try to run aggregation or purge queries on some tables
we are getting following message:

" error [I/O error (bad page ID) detected during read at offset 0x000001ad65a000 in file 'E:MSSQL2KDataGenesys_DataMartGenesys_Datamart.mdf '. Severity 24, State 2, Procedure 'PWMGENESYSDB1 n u! ll', Line 1]"

After this we executed DBCC CHECKDB. Attaching the output obtained after executing this command, to fix these errors we executed DBCC repair_allow_data_loss. I am attaching output for this also. Pls go thru the logs and pls let me know what could be the problem and how it can be addressed.

[help] SQL Error - I/O Error 2 (The System Cannot Find The File Specified)

May 13, 2004

Windows 2000 Server SP4 + SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Editon SP3,RAID5.

the windows event log give the following error information:

I/O error 2(The system cannot find the file specified) detected during write at offset 0x0000010c6c4000 in file 'D:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLdataGJSZBANK_Data.MDF'.

I have searched microsoft knowledge base and got this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;828339

but don't understand some contents in the topic:

For example, if you encounter the following error message in the SQL Server Errorlog file, SQL Server encountered operating system error 2 when it uses a Windows API call to write to the tempdb primary database file:

Error: 823, Severity: 24, State: 4
I/O error 2(The system cannot find the file specified.) detected during write at offset 0x00000000284000 in file 'D:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLdata empdb.mdf'

Because SQL Server has already successfully opened the file and did not receive an Invalid Handle error, the error is likely being raised in a lower-level kernel software component, such as the file system or a device driver. This problem does not indicate a problem in SQL Server, and it must be investigated as an issue with the file system or a device driver that is associated with the file.

Does that mean this is not a SQL Server error?
Does that mean something wrong with my operating system? or something wrong with my hard disk?

I Need To Pass Data Entered /created On The First Page To The Next Page And Populate The Next Page With Some Data From The Fir

Nov 28, 2006

Hello I have a project that uses a large number of MS Data access pages created in Access 2003 and runs on MS SQL2005.

When I am on lets say my client, (first page in a series) data access page and I have completed the fields in the (DAP), I am directing my users to the next step of the registration process by means of a hyperlink to another Data access page in the same web but in a linked or sometimes different table.

I need to pass data entered /created on the first page to the next page and populate the next page with some data from the first page / table. (like staying on the client name and ID when i go to the next page)

I also need the first data access page to open and display a blank or new record. Not an existing record. I will also be looking to creata a drop down box as a record selector.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
I am some what new to data access pages so a walk through would be nice but anything you got is welcome. Thanks Peter

Use Custom Error Page

Mar 27, 2007

Hello,
Is there a a way to catch general errors on ssrs and display a custom error page to the user?

The goal is that if a user try to access a report when the ssrs is down, He won't see the RS general error but a custom notice from me.

Thanks.

Error About Deallocation Of Kept Page

Feb 28, 2008

Group,

We are running MSSQL 2005 with SP1.

Intermittently, a job fails due to this error:
Unable to deallocate a kept page. [SQLSTATE HY000] (Error 831) The statement has been terminated. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 3621).

On research in web, someone claimed that the problem has been fixed in SP2. However, I have been searching the SP2 release note page (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=921896), but can't find the fix entry.

I am sure many admins might have faced this error, any permanent solution you found ?

Thanks for your time.

Syntax Error On .asp Page From SQL Input

May 9, 2000

I would appreciate any help you send to resolve this error message....

There is a notes field on a user form that is then sent to preview.asp. In that field when the user types in a ' or " character the following error is displayed:

*****************
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 's'.
/formstoday/preview.asp, line 182

***************

Line 182 is thus:
objConn.execute sql

If they do no use the ' or " cgaracter the form works fine and the data is sent from preview.asp to the database. The column in the database for this filed is a property of 'text'. When it was a property of 'varchar' I didn't get this erorr - but I need a field that will hold a large amount of data - hence the property of 'text'.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks in advance!

Table Error: IAM Page (1:8140747)

Dec 6, 2007

Hi:

I am shrinking a database (SQL2000 sp3) with following error:
Server: Msg 8968, Level 16, State 10, Line 1
Table error: IAM page (1:8140747) (object ID 2, index ID 255) is out of the range of this database.

after dbcc checkalloc(ABC)
--------------------------
CHECKDB found 1 allocation errors and 255 consistency errors in table 'sysindexes' (object ID 2).

repair_allow_data_loss is the minimum repair level for the errors found (TollFree ).

I have repaired user tables before. But this time is pointing to a system table.

of course, having a backup before repairing

is there other way for a planB if repairing fall?

my planC is: generate a script for all the DB table index creation. drop all the indexes, then dbcc checkalloc again to see still with above error. then, recreate indexes.

thanks
David

SQL Synax Error For Updating Database Page

Nov 5, 2005

I was hoping someone could tell me what my syntax error is in my code: (this is my first time creating one of these!)

<cfquery name="JobPost"
datasource= "JobPost">
UPDATE Jobs (Position, Description, Requirements)
VALUES ('#Form.Position#', '#Form.Description#' , '#Form.Requirements#')
WHERE JobID=2
</cfquery>

I get the following diagnostic error in the browser:
ODBC Error Code = 37000 (Syntax error or access violation)

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in UPDATE statement.

SQL = "UPDATE Jobs (Position, Description, Requirements) VALUES ('Updated Receptionist', 'description updated You will take phone calls' , 'description updated Must be able to work a phone.') WHERE JobID=2"

Data Source = "JOBPOST"

The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of (CFQUERY), occupying document position (129:2) to (130:23) in the template file
