Error Msg 6522, Level 16, State 1 Receives When Call The Assembly From Store Procedure To Create A Text File And To Write Text

Jun 21, 2006

Hi,
I want to create a text file and write to text it by calling its assembly from Stored Procedure. Full Detail is given below

I write a code in class to create a text file and write text in it.
1) I creat a class in Visual Basic.Net 2005, whose code is given below:
Imports System
Imports System.IO
Imports Microsoft.VisualBasic
Imports System.Diagnostics
Public Class WLog
Public Shared Sub LogToTextFile(ByVal LogName As String, ByVal newMessage As String)
Dim w As StreamWriter = File.AppendText(LogName)
LogIt(newMessage, w)
w.Close()
End Sub
Public Shared Sub LogIt(ByVal logMessage As String, ByVal wr As StreamWriter)
wr.Write(ControlChars.CrLf & "Log Entry:")
wr.WriteLine("(0) {1}", DateTime.Now.ToLongTimeString(), DateTime.Now.ToLongDateString())
wr.WriteLine(" :")
wr.WriteLine(" :{0}", logMessage)
wr.WriteLine("---------------------------")
wr.Flush()
End Sub
Public Shared Sub LotToEventLog(ByVal errorMessage As String)
Dim log As System.Diagnostics.EventLog = New System.Diagnostics.EventLog
log.Source = "My Application"
log.WriteEntry(errorMessage)
End Sub
End Class

2) Make & register its assembly, in SQL Server 2005.
3)Create Stored Procedure as given below:

CREATE PROCEDURE dbo.SP_LogTextFile
(
@LogName nvarchar(255), @NewMessage nvarchar(255)
)
AS EXTERNAL NAME
[asmLog].[WriteLog.WLog].[LogToTextFile]

4) When i execute this stored procedure as
Execute SP_LogTextFile 'C:Test.txt','Message1'

5) Then i got the following error
Msg 6522, Level 16, State 1, Procedure SP_LogTextFile, Line 0
A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user defined routine or aggregate 'SP_LogTextFile':
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:Test.txt' is denied.

T-SQL (SS2K8) :: Trigger To Call A Program To Write Text File Onto A Folder In Server

Apr 29, 2014

I have created a trigger to call a program that is written by our program. The program is basically read the record in the table and write to a text file, then delete the record from the table.

The trigger is a after insert trigger. After we added the trigger, we insert a record to the table. The result is that the record still and did not get deleted. Also, the text file didn't get created either. It seems that it take a long time for the record to be written to the table.

But if we just run the program (a exe file), it can write a text file in the folder and delete the record. the trigger is basically:

USE [Zinter]
GO
/****** Object: Trigger [dbo].[ZinterProcess] Script Date: 04/29/2014 18:34:56 ******/
SET ANSI_NULLS ON
GO
SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
GO

[Code] ....

Using Script Destination Object To Create And Write To New Text File

Jul 31, 2007

Is there a better way to do this?

We've all seen this, where it uses an individual .write statement for each column.

Code Snippet

Public Overrides Sub AWCCogent_ProcessInputRow(ByVal Row As AWCCogentBuffer)

With textWriter

Dim item As Object

If Not Row.AddressID_IsNull Then
.Write(Row.AddressID)
End If
.Write(columnDelimiter)
If Not Row.City_IsNull Then
.Write(Row.City)
End If

.WriteLine()

End With

End Sub

But hard coding this seems not the smartest way. Especially since in my text file, there needs to be close to 100 columns. This could be a nightmare to update down the road. But I can't seem to find the object collection to loop through, like row.items which would seem to be logical.

There's gotta be a better way, right Microsoft?

Error 6522 Trying To Run Assembly From Database

Jan 25, 2006

Hi,

I am attempting to load an assembly that has been stored in a table as a byte array. I have created a c# class called AssemblyLoader that takes in 2 parameters, the assembly name and the parameters for the assembly (just a query string).

From this it returns the assembly byte array using a simple sql statement within the class using the assembly name to select the assembly bytes to return from the database.

The returned byte array of the assembly is loaded using:

    Assembly assembly = Assembly.Load(assemblyBytes);

This seems to be the line that SQL Server 2005 is erroring on. Do I need to add some extra assemblies to the database and if so which ones.

Error:
Msg 6522, Level 16, State 1, Procedure ClientInterface, Line 0

Help, How To Write 2 Outputs To One Text File??

Mar 13, 2007

Hi,

SQL Server 2005, sp2

What I am trying to do is very simple. I just want to run 2 stored procedures, then have the output from both sp's written to a single file.

I created a Data Flow task, then put 2 OLE DB Source adapters in the Data Flow task, one for each stored procedure.

Next, I dropped a Flat File destination object onto the page. However, I can only connect ONE arrow from one of the OLE DB Source adapters to the Flat File destination. It won't let me connect both.

What am I doing wrong here? How can I accomplish what I am trying to do here?

Thanks much

Write Content Of TEXT Field To A File

Sep 19, 2007

I have a table with a column [FileData] of type TEXT or XML. I need to write the content of the column to a file, using sp_OAWrite for example, but the stored procedure who needs to read the content and write it to the file does not work because the limitation is no local variable for those types. What use is that datatype if i can not use it in procedures like this?

Anyone out there who could give me a tip on how to solve that?

How To Store File Attachments (text And Binary).

Store Blog Post Content In Text File Or Database?

May 21, 2006

    Hi. I am currently building a blog application, and I need some advice... I have the post title, post date, post by, etc stored in a database table, however I was wondering whether I should store the actual post content in the database as well or in a text file. For example, if the posts get really long would it slow down database performance or would there not be much of a difference? Furthermore, if I wanted to keep the posts private, a text file would not be ideal as it can be accessed easily by surfers... What do you recommend?Thanks a lot

Is It Possible To Create A UDF From A .NET 2.0 Assembly That Uses Dllimport To Call Unmanaged Code?

Jan 23, 2006

I have been reading up on everything I can find on this subject and I am not clear if this is allowed within the SQL Server 2005 CLR. My function calls work within a Windows form project, but don't run when invoked from a SQL function. I don't get any errors or warnings when creating the assembly and functions within SQL Server, but when running via a select statement, the spid just hangs and I have to stop & restart the service to kill the process. I have been investigating the security settings for this assembly, but I think I have that covered via the RunTime Security Policy settings in the .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration tool.

Any insights, knowledge, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

How To Create Table On Text File Import?

Sep 27, 2007

Hey guys,
I have a dilemma and hope someone can help.

I don't know of any utilities or commands in SQL that do this but I hope someone does.

What I need to do is something like a bcp import a text file in. I can do that with DTS as well. But what I wanted to do is create a table on the import. So lets say, I am importing a tab-delimited file with column names as the first row that is called ax.txt. On import, it would create the table ax with the column names in the file and then import the data into that table.

I hope I explained it clearly. Please let me know if there is anything I can use to do this without writing lots of code.

I have an idea how to do it the long way but hope there is a utility that already does it.

Thanks in advance.

Error Registering Assembly Using CREATE ASSEMBLY

May 1, 2008

We have written a test CRL stored procedure to test replacing one of our complex stored procedures but can€™t get it deployed to our SQL server that hosts a mirrored configuration of our production database (very locked down). It works fine on our development instances (not very locked down). It only references the default assemblies that were added when we created the project. All it does is use Context Connection=true to get data, loops though some records and returns the data using SQLContext. CLR is enabled on SQL server, the assembly is strongly signed, and we tried deploy using the binary string with the SAFE setting.

CREATE ASSEMBLY for assembly 'SQLCLRTest2' failed because assembly 'SQLCLRTest2' failed verification. Check if the referenced assemblies are up-to-date and trusted (for external_access or unsafe) to execute in the database. CLR Verifier error messages if any will follow this message
[ : SQLCLRTest2.StoredProcedures::GetLift][mdToken=0x600001e] Type load failed.
