I am connecting ADAM[Active directory in application mode] using SSIS using OLEDB connection manager. I have
created SQL/LDAP query

This query displays proper data in query builder when I run the query.But when I say OK on OLEDB source manager it gives following error

Hi, I am trying to Create an OLEDB Connection from SSIS to Inforrmix without any success. Would someone be able to help.We are running Informix version 9.4. We were able to create an OLEDB connection with SQL server 2000 and DTS. But, when trying to create an OLEDB connection using SQL server 2005 and SSIS, I am getting an error message. The connection is created successfully but cannot access databases and tables on informix. Hopefully there's an easy answer for this. I'm totally new to SQL server and I'm trying to upsize an Access database. Whether I use the upsizing wizard or try to create a data source through the ODBC Data Source Administrator, I get a connection failed error. It tells me the server does not exist or my login is incorrect. I'm using NT authentication to connect to the server on my local drive. I just installed the whole 2005 express edition and the only thing that came up during the install was that I didn't have IIS installed. I didn't see how that would be relevant, so I went ahead with the install.
Shouldn't this work with the default setup? I've searched around trying different "solutions" although I doubt they were specifically related to this very basic problem. I tried giving my login every right I could find through in the database engine properties in the server management studio, which connects fine itself with just my network login name and no password. What am I missing?
When I start a new project the BI environment cannot open the DTSX package and I get only one tab with the message:
"microsoft visual studio is unable to load this document. Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
I tried uninstall and install of BI Development Studio as well as a repair install of Visual Studio 2005. None of which helped. Please help me to get this fixed.
In my local client installation of the BI tools, I get the following error when simply creating an SSIS project and the default empty Package tries to display on the screen.

Scenario Configuration : VB.net 2005 Code, WebService for Executing SSIS on Server, SSIS deployed on the Database Server
Problem Description : We are developing windows applicaiton in which we call webservice which was deployed on the same server where SSIS packages are deployed. Now from Code we are passing FilePath name in variable and execute the Package. But the SSis result says that The file name "\computernamefol1fol2fol3fol4abc.txt" specified in the connection was not valid.
More Information:
1. Full Permission are given on this network folder. 2. Package executes successfully from SSIS development solution (BIS solution) 3. Deployed packed executes successfully from the Database Server. 4. From Development pc packege executes successfully. 5. Other packages deployed on the same server executed suucessfully with same configuration and scenario.
Only this package is not executing.

Hi, I don't see this problem posted anywhere but please redirect me if I missed it.
We have an SSIS package that works fine in BIDS for the person that created the package. It also works fine scheduled using AGENT on the Server. However when a different developer checks it out of VSS they can't run the package. They go in and edit the connection property - adding in the password again. (security = DONTSaveSensitive) Test the connection and it works OK. Run the package (or any task in the package) and they get Failed to acquire connection connection name.
I'm trying to create a new package and keep getting different errors. The package uses the same .NET ODBC provider as another package.
I can test the connection fine.
When I add a DataReader Source and select my connection I get the following warning:
Not all connection managers have been set. Set all connection managers.
If I click the refresh button I get this warning message:
Error at Data Flow Task [DataReader Source [6338]]: The runtime connection manager with the ID "" cannot be found. Verify that the connection manager collection has a connection manager with that ID.
All my collections have ID's and they are all read only.
If I ignore those warning I can enter my SQL command and go to the column mappings tab and see all the columns I selected but I then see several warnings all saying the same thing.

We have an SSIS package, that when run though BIDS, runs to success.
However when running as a SQL Agent Job the following error is logged: "The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "Data Source" failed with error code 0xC0202009."
The package does use a configuration file as well as protection level of EncryptSensitiveWithPassword. The correct username and password are kept in the config file.
How do i fix this? The only thing i find in the KB is a solution telling me to use a config file and EncryptSensitiveWithPassword, both of which i already do.
I am developing one SSIS package to migrate an Oracle Database to SQL Server 2005 DB through ODBC. My problem is with configuration. I have to use configuration file so that in production environment the end-user must be able to change the user credentials to connect both database servers. I am trying xml configuration file. When I try to use xml configuration, my odbc connection is giving error. But if I disable the configuration through "Package Configurations Organizer", it works fine. Using an XML Editor I checked the .dtsconfig file and entered both passwords for the both connections.

howdy, i have a sqlserver2005 ssis package which connects to a mysql webserver to upload data. i am connecting via mysql oledb connection and am able to test connect ok through the oledb connection manager. However in my ole db destination editor i get an 0x80040E21 error when trying to preview a table . The full error is :

I can see all the tables in the drop down box in connection manager. This has been driving me nuts for the last 3 days! I have tried changing some of the security connection settings to no avail, (although i am not sure on what these do).I have also tried setting up as an odbc connection using script components but had memory errors after copying several hundred records and the package just hangs. I can go into this in more detail however i dont think they are related issues and i would prefer oledb as i dont have to script my data transfer.

I use Sql server 2005 standard edition in a 64 bit machine.I tried to create a SSIS project with an Analysis Services Processing Task. In connection Manager, the test connection succeeds but when I try to add the analysis services connection manager it gives following error.-The new connection manager could not be created,Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0010014 (Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap). This is a production server and we cannot reproduce this in other servers , so troubleshooting is difficult. I have installed MS SQL Server 2005 and Service Pack 2 on a new Windows 32-bit environment. I also installed the 32-bit 10g client (the Administrator option). I have created the package and logged into the server with the same ID to set up the job. And I have set the ProtectionLevel property to "Don't Save Sensitive Data" since I know this has been an issue in the past when I tried automating the job. I've four posts regarding this error message on the MSDN forums that aren't helpful at this moment - I'm hoping that someone will have found a solution since those posts. Hi, I got this error in a Flat File connection manager, it was saying that the last column caused the disk I/O Buffer overflow, whereas the last column contains 188 characters at max.
I have a simple SSIS package with three "Execute SQL Tasks". I am using ADO.Net Connection to execute SPs on a DB server.
When I execute this package It works fine. So far so good.
Now, I need to implement transation on this package. And problem starts now onwards. When I try to execute package after setting TransationOption = Required for the Sequence container which contains all the tasks, I get following error.
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Failed to acquire connection "NYCDB0008.Export". Connection may not be configured correctly or you may not have the right permissions on this connection.
"NYCDB0008.Export" is the name of the ADO.Net connection. I have been hunting for any solution but all in vain. I have tried changing all DTC settings on the dev as well as Database server.

1. Is it possible to create GUI from SSIS using macro so that it can display forms or dialogs? If so how can I create a form that can be used to pass the parameters for the execution of the SSIS??

Hi,I need some help. I am getting this error after I complete the asp.net register control and click on the continue button. It crashed when it tries to get it calls this Profile property((string)(this.GetPropertyValue("Address1")));When I look at the stack, it is coming from my ProfileWrapper class which adds user address, city, etc.. from a class which inherits fromSystem.Web.Profile.ProfileBase. Both the OLE DB Connection and ADO.Net Connection in SSIS Package does not remember password.
Im connecting to a SQL Server 2000 box using its sa password as test.
The SSIS package runs fine when you first set up the connection in bids
The bottom line is that SSIS keeps forgetting the password I feed into the two Connections that I'm using. I double-click a connection, type the password in, check "Save my password" and hit "OK" but the password disappears from there whenever I run the package or double-click the connection again.
is there any known workaround for this issue as I would like to schedule my SSIS package using a SSIS Step in a SQL Server 2005 Agent job.

I'm getting "Access denied" error when I try to connect to SSIS from my desktop (Database Engine is fine). I'm a member of sysadmin within SQL, as well as an administrator on the server. I don't have any problem when I log on to the server directly via Remote Desktop and open SSIS.
I went into the surface area config tool, and I see that Database Engine and Analysis Services both expand and have a sub tabs to enable Services and Remote Connections, but Integration Services does not expand to a Remote Connections option, just Services. We're running MSDN Enterprise edition.
Does it matter if all the SQL services are using "Local System" for the logon ? I use an administrative logon on my SQL2000 boxes, and was fiddling with them on the 2005 box yesterday, but it seemed to cause more problems, so they are all Local System for now.
In my project, I have added a database called aspnetdb.mdf and I store all the required information here. Now I want to write a seperate Cryatl Report for my manager, that accesses this database and display required data. This report is not a part of the asp.net project. This is only for my manager. My database is not attached to any server. I just use the attachdb in the coonection string of my project to attach this database. no I want my crystal report to access this database. If I can create an ODBC connection to this database, it will solve my problem. Dows any body know how to access this database from Crystal with or without ODBC? Any help is greatly appreciated.
