I have a program which will show you users logged into a session. It's designed in MS Access and will also record citrix/terminal users. If you would like a copy of the program, download the attachment or email me at paulk@weccusa.org.

Query To Show Only Users Who Logged On In Past 6 M

Feb 20, 2006

Hi All

I have built this query :

Select position, SubsidiaryName
from position
Where SubsidiaryName in ('country1','country2')
and position not like('testuser_%')
and position not like ('Inactive_%')
and position not like('olduser_%');

However when I run it, the result more accounts in country 1 than expected. I think it could be inactive users who have not logged into this system for 6 months or more. How can I build a query that incorporates my original query + shows only users who logged into the past 6 months ?

Searching And Finding The Information Users Really Want To Find

Dec 26, 2005

Hi,
Imagine that I have a select something like this
select * from T where T.Name Like '%Maria%'
"Maria" would be what the user what to find. But for example in spanish we use í, ó, ú, ü... The same happens in french, german...
The user want to find Maria and does not care if another user (or himself) has inserted the client as Maria, María, Marïa or whatever.
Of course one solution is putting in the DB only the simple characters (a,e,i,o,u) and look for  these, replacing the "strange" chars  in the application to the "normal" ones. But if we want to be professionals we would need to insert in the DB the name in their original spelling (the image is the most important!)
Any idea, help or reference?
Thx in advance and happy new year.
David

Finding All SQL Users Permissions And Access On Every Server And DB?

Sep 18, 2007

Hello team, I have learned quite a bit from everyone here. I have decided to post a question for you guys and see what the best method is. Our Sr. DBA has asked me to get a list of all of our users permissions on all of our databases. We have about 20 SQL servers some of which have more databases and instances than I have fingers and toes. Can anyone recommend any solution to this problem? Perhaps there is a script I can download/write which will help me on this? Thanks in advance.

SQL Server Session State - Using A 1.1 Database Schema For 2.0 Session State Storage

Aug 3, 2006

The 2.0 version of ASPSTATE is slightly different than the 1.1 version in that one table has one additional column and another table uses a different data type and size for the key. The 2.0 version also has a couple additional stored procedures.

We'd like to manage just one session state database if possible so we're trying to figure out if Microsoft supports using the new schema for 1.1 session state access (it seems to work, but our testing has been very light).

Is there any official support line on this? If not, can anyone comment on whether or not you'd expect it to work and why?

Thanks.

Reporting Services :: Adding (new) Child Domain Users To SSRS As System Users?

Jul 28, 2015

We have an existing SSRS server, and have just created a new child domain. We'll be migrating users from the parent to the child, and want to add the users of that new domain with access to SSRS. In the parent domain they are able to access, but after migration with the child domain account, they cannot.

I have added the group CHILDDomain Users with a system user role on SSRS, and PARENTDomain Users was already there.

Is there any additional step I should/could take to get this active?

Stored Procedure To Get All Users Or All Users Of A Specific Country

Apr 30, 2008

hi alli've got two tables called "webusers" (id, name, fk_country) and "countries" (id, name)
at the meantime, i've a search-page where i can fill a form to search users. in the dropdown to select the country i included an option which is called "all countries".
now the problem is: how can i make a stored procedure that makes a restriction to the fk_country depending on the submitted fk_country parameter?it should be something like
SELECT * FROM webusers(if @fk_country > 0, which is the value for "all countries"){    WHERE fk_country = @fk_country}
who has an idea how to solve this problem?

Non-logged Delete Of Records???

Stopping Transactions Being Logged

Mar 28, 2004

Hi,

I have searched google and have found no real answer to this....

We are creating a database to support an application which is loading in data as part of the cutover from their current db to SQL Server.

The datafile is around 56GB and when the data processing occurs, as its not just inserts, the transaction logs fills out to around 65GB, and probably more, just that we ran out of space. So question is, is there a workaround for stopping the logging of this processing at all. I have seen that bulk-logged mode may be used, but the option with TABLOCK must be used, and there is no way to get hands on code which performs this processing.

Is there a way to turn off transaction loggin at any point?

Thanks,
Jim
