Help In Querying Multiple Tables .

Hi all, 

lets say i have a table
 as follows

id   name
1    red
2    orange
3    green


and this has s join to another table via the id

table2

id  event
1   stop
2   stop
3   start

now if i make a view and drop these two tables the jkoin is there but i would liek to report on all names who have a event of "go"
but it gives me no results , which is right . but how can i output all the names and in the evnet put a empty SO

name      event
red       empty
orange    empty
green     empty
