Is there a way to get markers on the top of each graph of a stacked column chart?
Also i need to display a label when the mouse points over each of the marker, as well as each partition of the graph. Getting the tooltips to work might b a help but it is not working for me. I got a reply that enabling the mouse over in the report viewer might help, but i dont know how to enable

I am working on a column chart type (stacked column sub-type) report.
Our customer requires us that the space(padding) between the columns should be a constant(including the space between the Y-axis and the first column). I know how to set the width of the columns, but I really don't know how to set the width of the space between them. The columns just varies the space between them automatically according to the number of the columns (the number of the columns is not certain).

I've a stacked column chart (vertical) both with positive and negative value.
I want an horizontal line only for the value = 0.
I tried to add a serie and to plot it as line, but I see it in the legend and I don't want to see it.
Can I show the gridlines only for the value 0?

I need to label stacked bar /column charts with the percentage of each series at each axis point.
For example, if I have the following values in the chart:
Series 1 Series 2
Axis point 1 50 25
Axis point 2 12 12
I need the labels to read: Series 1 Series 2
Axis point 1 67% 33%
Axis point 2 50% 50%
It would seem that I need to format the data point labels to read something like: sum (data.label)/sum(data.label, "axis point")
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your elegant solutions
I have a Stacked Column graph and when we set the Position of the Point Label to be "Top Center", the Point Label always stays in the center of that particular Bar.
On a easier, basic Bar chart, the Point Label setting works correctly.
Has anyone else had a similar issue or know if this is a known issue ?
I'm making some reports that are made for getting printed. I currently have three groups of reports, each group having four charts (four A4 papers/group). To cut down on the sheer number of papers on the boards I've been asked to merge these charts so that we'll have all three groups in one chart. This works fine for three of the charts (two line charts and one column chart), where the results gets neatly organized in group order. Where I ran into problems was the last chart..
The last chart is a stacked column chart. With one group, it works quite well; the x-axis is by year/week, and for each week there's a bar where the lower part is "done" and the upper part is "failed".
Now when doing this graph with multiple groups (groups as series), it doesn't put the different groups beside each other as I would've wished, instead it piles them on top of each other as if it was a 100% stacked column.
So the question is; is there some way to make a stacked column graph with multiple series that are one stacked bar per group instead of having all of them stacked on top of each other? Am I just missing some small detail here?
I have a stacked column with 2 series("phones", "no phones") on the categories, What I am trying to do is to show only one of the series in each category,I used the visibility option in the series properties, and chose show or hide based on an expression using the expression below if(Fields!PENETRATIONSERIES. Value="no phone",FALSE,TRUE) i get no graph , But when I switch the true and false value, the graph show with the two series there.

I have a report in which I have assigned custom colors with a function to one of my stacked column charts. When I run it in the report builder, the colors are correctly placed, but as soon as I upload the report to the server and view the report from there, the colors get swapped. I have these custom colors applied to other stacked column charts in the report and they work perfectly fine. The only difference between this chart and my other charts is that it contains two category groups.
EDIT: Alright, I have gotten it to display the correct colors by using a function with the colors I wanted in reverse. I have two values, "Upcoming" which is displayed in red, and "Outstanding" which is displayed in blue. If the chart has only upcoming values, it will display in blue rather than red, whereas if I have upcoming and outstanding values, they will display in their correct colors. why this is occurring?
I have an issue while display the result in the required order. How to get the required output.

I have a column bar chart which displays values for each month. As per the requirement, I am displaying the column values by selecting "Show labels" options. I see few values overlap on the column bars.

now this date column will be only 5 i.e. 1 which user puts + 4 preceding dates from user date (ignoring sequence means if user put 10/06/07 then next will be 09/06/07 but if this wont exists then take 08/06/07 & so on till 4 dates)
the data will be unique means no scrip repeats more than once in a day

There is a strange problem on my tables . When i execute a simple query from Query Analyzer, say select * from ' table name' , then i can edit or enter text in my result in one of the columns.
But the same table if i try to open through the Enterprise problem , i.e selecting the table , right click and select open table and then if i select return all rows , it does not allow me to enter text in a specific coloumn .
But the same is possible if i execute a query and try to enter text in the results which is displayed in grid from the Query Analyser .
Could anybody help me to know what could be the problem and how can i enter a text it ?

I am JOINing a Table with a View, and the View can have multiple rows relating to the join condition(i.e. My view as 4 columns, and can look like the following:
A B C D
A E F G
B H I J
I want this to look like -
A B C D E F G
B H I J
I want one row, but not one column, I need to maintain each value in its own column, withinin a single row.
Doesn't matter to me if that transition happens in my View or as the outcome of my Join.
I've been looking at the PIVOT command, but that appears to only work with an aggrgrate function. I don't want to calculate/aggreagte anything, just combine my multiple rows in one.
This is my VIEW stmt -

I have a date column and a value column. I want to display the value column based on the last date. MAX (Date)
I tried using MAX for the date column but that displays the last date.

My table name is "clients" and the column in question is "client_firstname"
The description of this column, as entered in Ent. Mgr, is "First Name"

Hi,I have a DataGrid whose DataSource is an SQLDataSource. This SQLDataSource references a SQL Server table with an Identity column, named Id. The SQLDataSource has generated an Update statement for me, but this only works if the Id column is selected for display in the DataGrid, and has Visible = True. If not, then the @original_Id parameter to the generated Update statement has a value of Nothing, and the Update has no effect. So is there a way to enable the Update statement to work, without the user having to see the Id column in the DataGrid? Many thanks,Keith.

I wish to view the Asset number, the full name of the user it's assigned to and the Make and Model of each record in the DB. However assets are split into different categories e.g. monitors, PCs, Preinters etc. and they are all in different tables. I have a column in the following select startement called displayvalue. Displayvalue is a varchar column. Primary everything entered into this column is numeric, but there are times when NR is entered. In the select query if it sees NR, I would like to have NR changed in the resultset to NULL or blank. NR doesn't come up all of the time, but I have not idea how to do this in the select statment.
