I am using sql server 2000 + reporting service.I want to crete my first report.for that i am referring the reports sample which come along with Reporting services.
In sample report, ie.Company cells there is use of matrix.I also use matrix.But My problem is that just like that report i also want (+) sign on the report,so that when user click on Component ,it will show all the components in the database.
In my report all the things are right but i cant get how i can get that (+) sign.
How can I run a RS report in SSIS ? I have deployed a report to a server. and I would like to run this report after a certain control flow task in SSIS ..and put the report to a network folder.. and schedule this SSIS package as a sql job.
I don;t see any tasks that can run a RS report in SSIS... how can i do this?
I am new to reporting services and wanted to see if anyone had any experience trying to do this...that "this" is passing a parameter to a report, but having the user fill in some others. I can pass all of my parameters to the report or let the user fill all of them in, but it doesn't seem to let me fill in one and have the users fill in the others.
I'm trying to create an inventory report for service trucks by adding all the transactions that were used to restock the truck and subtract the transactions where the parts were used on an invoice and removed from the truck. All the transactions are in the same table. The fields that would be relevant are PartID, QTY, WhsTo and WhsFrom. If I wanted to calculated stock levels for truck 16 I would select all transactions that have a value of 16 in either WhsTo or WhsFrom. If WhsTo contained 16 then I would want to add QTY. If WhsFrom value was 16 then I would want to subtract QTY. I would want it grouped by distinct PartID. I don't know how to structure the Select statement to decide whether to add or subtract.
I have report that in access 97. When i run that report every morning, it's update technician time, mileage and money. I want that report to be update every min like real time report in sql reporting service.
The main thing i want to know is how to import report from access 97 to sql reporting service. I am not really familiar with reporting services in sql, can you be little more specific where to set up time? The report only update when i run query every morning. Queries and Tables are in access 97. When i tried to migrate tables with ssma, i wan not able to convert all of the query.
I've created a report that will print on a pre-printed paper. Is there a way to embed a word document into a report or some other type on document. I'm not able to format the text like in word.
If I have an asp page with a button, what are the means or methods to trigger the event to process a report, save into a report and store in a file server or any directory? All these is done backend without the need to display to the browser.
Using RS Web services or Delivery extension programming things like that?
When I opened "Reporting Service Configuration Manger" from SQL server configuration tool list, The "Report Server Installation Instance window came out. It showed my local machine name on the field of Machine Name. When I click "Find" button, a message box came out. It says: "No report server were found on the specified machine. Details: Invalid namespace
I need to add carriage returns into a text box of 3 lines. The data is pulled from the BD so the "cariage return" symbol need to be in the database field.
I know that some reporting software give the option to add HTML code into textbox but I did'nt find out about ms reporting 2000.
I have an instance of SSRS that will not run my report subscriptions if it is using a dedicated domain account I made for the express purpose of using it to run this service.
If I have SSRS use my personal domain account as the service account, my subscriptions run correctly. If I have SSRS use this other domain account, the subscriptions do not run.
What else do I have to configure to make this run correctly not on my personal account?

I use BIDS 2008 R2 and I have a SQL script that works fine and gives me the desired output in SQL Management studio.

However i need to create a report so that someone else can enter the date time as a parameter in a report to get the required results. Normally i would drop my SQL script into BIDS and it would create the dataset but as this has a declared value it gives an error "The Declare SQL construct or statement is not supported."
I have VS 2013 Express and SQL Server 2014 (dev. license). I've created some projects in VS where I connect to SQL 2014 Dbs with stored procedures, functions, the usual suspects. Additionally I have Report Builder 3.0. I downloaded and installed SSDT-BI but it doesn't seem to like my VS2013 Express projects any more than I, evidently, like it. So I'm at a loss to understand how to use it to generate reports I can putt on the server and call with my projects. In short, I absolutely don't understand this stuff.I think I want to write reports using Report Builder 3.0 that I can save to my SQL Server Report Server and run from a VS2013 Express Project.

I am using 'SQL Server 2005 Reporting Service' in my project. I am using sub-reports in many cases. Whenever I export such reports containing sub-reports to 'Excel' format which is the major client requirement in our project, the exported excel file shows 'Subreports within table/matrix cells are ignored.'
Can anybody tell me the solution for this? If not possible in reporting service then is there any other way to get data in excel format?
I have 6 separate mailing label like reports with a textbox inside a cell. I tried to join them into one report with subreports"but" it does not work since you need the print layout in order to get both columns to show. What is the best way to accomplish this task?
We have a need to report on historical data when none exists in the database.
Create a tabular report rdl that is run on a regular schedule. This report run is saved as an Excel sheet that overwrites the previous run, which has the same name.
Report is designed to use two data sources--the database and and the previously run Excel sheet. The data is "merged" using the Lookup function thereby creating a new report that includes the history needed.

I am in the process of creating a Report, and in this, i need ONLY the row groups (Parents and Child).I have a Parent group field called "Dept", and its corresponding field is MacID.I cannot create a child group or Column group (because that's not what i want).I am then inserting rows below MacID, and then i toggle the other rows to MacID and MacID to Dept.

In our project, we would like to use the same data source for our analysis service database cubes and for our reporting service reports.
I created the analysis service project first, deployed successfully. When trying to setting up the data source in the report model project, I selected the "create a data source based on another object", and then selected the "create a data source based on an analysis service project". However, there is no analysis service project to select, and no browse button to see where the reporting service is looking for analysis service project either.
I have tried creating a new analysis service project with data source views, cubes, dimensions and all the stuff, but still cannot see the analysis service project in the drop down box to be selected for my reporting model project data source.
As I am fairly new to the reporting service, I'm sure I'm missing something, but couldn't find much information in the help or on the web. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
I have some problem about reporting service add-in.
After I install reporting service add-in for SharePoint, reporting service menu does not appear in Application Management Tab in SharePoint Central Administration.
I try to uninstall and re-install again, it remain not work.
Can we pass the Database name/Catalog name for the datasouce that will be used for report, as a report parameter . Is yes can any one help me on how to achieve that .
