Does anybody knows how to create a report inside include 2 page? per page has itself body & pagefooter. for example on Page 1 is PO on page 2 is this PO contract list.

Reporting Services :: Don't Include Last Page Of SSRS Report Based On Parameter
Mar 9, 2015I created the report, which has 4 pages. Each page contains bunch of tables and charts, which display data in scope of dataset, created for each page and reflecting certain subject. Each page also has Header and Footer.
My users requested, the report has possibility to include or not include data on Page #4.
Other words, report should display 3 or 4 pages based on the entered parameter.
1. I created parameter named “Include #### metrics”, which contains options: Y, N
2. For each object on the page 4 I added dependency on the selected parameter in the visibility option.
Now if user select parameter Not include Page #4, report displays 3 pages as expected and page #4 is empty, but with Header and Footer.
The problem: Their preference is to not to show page 4 at all if someone chooses to not to include #### metrics.
My question is how to force the report to display just 3 selected pages.

Include Field Value In Page Header
Mar 11, 2008I want to include a value from my result set in the header of my report but get the "You cannot reference a field value in the page header or footer" message. Here's why I want to do it:
The report uses three parameters: Date1, Date2 and Type. If Type is set to DATES the stored proc uses dates 1 and 2 as criteria to limit the returned records. Because Dates 1 and 2 are set in the report I can use the parameters collection to get those values and include them in the title of the report. If the Type paramter is set to MONTH, dates 1 and 2 are ignored and the stored proc determines what the dates are going to be using a UDF called from within the proc. The only way I could think of to get these calculated dates back from the proc was to insert them into the temp table it creates. Cheesy, I know... but I got the dates to the result set. Problem is I can't use them for what I need. So... to make a short question very long... how can I get the values in the result set into something I can use in the header or footer?

Page Header And Page Footer Not Loading Report Items In The Main Report When Subreport Called?

I am having a main report having two subreports, say M1,S1 and S2 respectively.
The issue is S2 normally tend to go beyond one page, for all pages except first page of the of the subreport I am getting the page header and footer blank,
Actually this is not loading the ReportItems that are used in main report but it shows text boxes containing strings for eg . "My Name" and date functions eg Today()
Any Solution?

How To Make The SSMSE To Return Whole Records Without Any Close Query Form And Re-create Query Form Operation?

I got a problem.
I installed Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express 2005 version.
And I created a Compact database.
I created an connection in SSMSE to connect the database and opened a query form.
then, i run the following sql:
Select * from Table1
It returned 3 records to me.
After that, I used program to insert record into this table.
Then i ran this sql again, it still show me 3 records.
I closed the query form, and re-created a new query form, then run the sql, it returned 4 records to me.
Why? It's very strange and difficult to operate, right?
Is there anyone know how to make the SSMSE to return whole records without any close query form and re-create query form operation?

Report Viewer In ASP.NET - Subreport Page 2 Goes Back To Main Report Page 2 On Paging
Nov 22, 2007What we've found is that when you have two reports where one navigates to the other, if you click on the second page of the second report, it takes you to the second page of the original report. If you navigate over to the subreport again and click for the second page, it works appropriately. This is definitely a no-go for production code and this may delay our ship date because I would think this is definitely undesirable.
Conditions:
ASP.NET Report Viewer using Remote Reports
Report that links to another report
Both reports return more than one page
Reporting Services installed
Steps to Reproduce:
Download the source code here.
Follow the directions (near the bottom of the post) to get the project set up.
Run it and click on a link in the first report to go to the second report.
Click the arrow for page 2 of the second report.
Notice how it takes you back to page 2 of the first report (this doesn't happen when you are in preview mode in the Reporting Services project and I don't believe it does this in a smart client application).

Web Form Page To Intranet Mssql
Dec 28, 2007hi. I am struck at the connection string for the mssql 2005, with the reference from connectionstring.com information.
Basically i am trying to make web form page and upload to hosted server. so that public will fill up and submit. It will communicate with our intranet server with mssql 2005.
I had try out the form and submit, but it is not working, either our database had not receive yet.

Retrieving Specific Page(number Of Rows) Form Table

i need SP that receive 2 integers ,@NUM_ROWS and @PAGE_NUMBER,
and return the rows in that page.
for example:
SP(4,2) will return 4 rows in page number 2 .
So if i have table with 9 rows i will get rows 5-8,
the first page is rows 1-4 the second page is 5-8 and the 3 page is row 9.
i have to assume that rows can be deleted form that table.

In my SSRS report. I have a report which has only one page. In preview it is showing as only 1 page but when I am printing the report. I am getting two printouts with the second page as a blank.. Please help me in printing the page that contains report. Intially I used a Page header, at that it used to print the blank page with a header only. Jan 23, 2008I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me... I'm using SSRS SP2 and I have a basic report using a single list object which, at the moment, should print only two pages based on the results of the underlying query. When previewing the report, it shows the two pages. But when the report is printed or exported, there is a blank page before each report page.
What I've done so far:
1) Verified the properties of the list object and made sure that 'Insert a page break before this list' is not checked
2) Ensured that there are no hidden objects that could be causing this behavior
3) Ensured that the report size + margins are within the boudaries of an standard 8.5x11 paper size
Any suggestions on something that would solve this issue?

Include Report Link In Subscription Does Not Render The Correct URL

I am sure there is a thread about that one but I cannot find it.
I have a server which does not include the correct link with the subsciptions.
I create a subscription and ask to include the link to the reporet, I get the report with the machine name instead of the DNS name.
i.e. i get
The report is accessible at the following address:
http://atlanta/reportserver/...
instead of http://reporting.onsemi.com/reports/....
I tried to edit rswebapplication.config like that
<ReportServerUrl>reporting.onsemi.com</ReportServerUrl>
and rsreportserver.config like that
<DefaultHostName>onsemi.com</DefaultHostName>
but still cannot get the correct URL in the subscription.
Any idea?

I made a Windows forms app using vb.net (VS2005) and SQL server 2005 Express Edition (to which I'm new). During the creation of the app I used windows authentication in the connection string. Now I want to secure the app, meaning I want the SQL Server database not to be accessed without a username/password. I guess the logical thing is to create a login form, providing the username and password so it can be used for connecting to the database. I thought this would be a standard (thus easy) thing to do, but no forum or article yet showed me a way to accomplish this in an understandable way. I also want to deploy this app using click once technology. I need to distribute this app on a cd/dvd.
If possible, can anyone give me a step by step scenario for this? Many thanks in advance

I have added some parameters in my report to filter out products that are not available in warehouse (LOCATION1) and this works great.

Now the issue starts when I add a parameter to my report for user to choose which outlets (LOCATIONs) he wants in the equation. I know how to make a column disappear based on parameter value but how to take it out of equation? At the moment when user selects only LOCATION2 and not LOCATION3 then data is not filtered correctly:

I added a new windows user "ReportUser" which is a local user (not in administrator group). When I connect to the report manage's web page, I use reportuser to log in (when the anonymous access is disabled it will ask a log in). Report builder icon is not showing up on the report manager home page.
If I log in as a user in administrator group, the reportr builder icon shows up so I can download it and build report.
I have assigned reportuser "Content manager" and "repoter builder" access to the home folder. Is there anything else I have to do to make the report build icon show up on the home page?
