Below are the columns I have in table Customers.

What I need is to find running sum of count of customerIDs. here CustomerID is string. So, the expected result is

I have a view created from only one table.
VW_Stats ( Tab_Name,Load_Status,User,....)
Tab_Name & Load_Status columns provides the information about Name of table and status of data getting loaded to this table.
To this I would like to add a column to display the running count in the table, I mean how many records so far loaded, as below the recordCount coming from the same table tbl_collection
Table_name Load_Status RecordCount User...
tbl_collection Running 1244 XYZ

I have a SQL text column from SP_who2 in table #SqlStatement:

I want to find what table and column  names are in the text ..

I want my query to display a running count based on a value change in one of the columns. This table holds Vendor invoice distributions, where there are multiple distributions for a unique comination of vendor and invoice. in the current table, the vendor and invoice are concatenated together into one field: "VI".

Hi All,
I am wondering how to achieve a running count on the rows being displayed in a table list. Not sure how to get it to show 1 for first row, 2 for second row, 3 for third row and so on. Example
No | Name
1 | John
2 | Jane
3 | Jim
I am also wondering on the date format in SSRS. When I try to format the date 10/31/2007 in a DD/MM/YYYY format it does not come out so good. Basically I go to the cell property and choose custom formatting, input the formatting string d/mm/yyyy but it only shows 31/00/2007. Can you guys tell me what I am doing wrong?

I use SQL 2000
I have a Column named Bool , the value in this Column is 0�0�1�1�1
I no I can use Count() to count this column ,the result would be "5"
but what I need is "2" and "3" and then I will show "2" and "3" in my DataGrid
as the True is 2 and False is 3
the Query will have some limited by a Where Query.. but first i need to know .. how to have 2 result count
could it be done by Count()? please help.

How do I find out the report that is currently being run? I have a scenario where some users run a report without knowing the amount of data that will be pulled by it... In such a case, it bogs down the server and doesn't let me access the Report Manager application.
How can I find out what is the report that is currently being run? I know I can get that information from the Show Jobs link fromm Site Settings in Report Manager. But in this case, I am not even able to login to the Report Manager. The memory (8 gigs) in the app server is fully maxed out and it doesn't log me in to the Report Manger.
I ran a query against the ExecutionLog table in the ReportServer database that logs all the executions. But it looks like the data to this table gets logged only after the report execution is completed. There is no way to tell what is being executed right now. I also checked the table RunningJobs in the ReportServer database, but there are no records in that table.
Can someone help?

in my procedure, I want to count the number of rows that have erroredduring an insert statement - each row is evaluated using a cursor, soI am processing one row at a time for the insert. My total count tobe displayed is inside the cursor, but after the last fetch is called.Wouldn't this display the last count? The problem is that the count isalways 1. I try to find out how many jobs where run in parallel on my server in an interval of time. For example: between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM there were MAX 66 jobs that run in parallel and MIN 4 jobs. I am not sure if I can find this info out from a system view or I need to play with sysjobhistory view.

Hi,
I have a SQL Server Agent job set up to run a job that calls a dts package on the server.
When I run the DTS Package manually, everything works fine and does what it is supposed to do.
When I run the job, The job fails. If somebody had this error can you please help me out
I am getting following error in my job...

I am having issues trying to write a query that would provide me the unique GUID numbers associated with a distinct PID if the unique GUID's > 1. Â To summarize, I need a query that just shows which PID's have more than one unique GUID. A PID could have multiple GUID's that are the same, I'm looking for the PID's that have multiple GUID's that are different/unique.Â

I have one field in SQL Server Report Called Status which is text field.
that status can be "Abesent" , Late In", "Early Out" , "Early Out and Late in"
, its in table Like this.

I have a visual studio 2005 app that has to match strings to something in a database.
It works wonderfully until a string shows up with an & in it (so "this & that")
The app wont find anything even though it should, the same query that is made in VS works just fine in enterprise manager
I tried a replace on the & with the chr(), hex, and html reference for & and none of those work.
We tried using different methods in VS to do the sql statement and commands.
The statement surrounds the string with single quotes.
If we take the & out, everything works fine.
Turned off request valadation just in case.
Any ideas?????
