I'm using this to find duplicates where a person has the same email but varying firstname and lastnames:
select distinct t1.booking_id, t1.first_name, t1.last_name, t1.email_add, t1.booking_status_id from [aren1002].[BOOKING] as t1 inner join [aren1002].[BOOKING] as t2 on t1.last_name=t2.last_name and t1.booking_id<>t2.booking_id where t1.booking_status_id = 330 order by last_name asc
Sample data: 3927 Greg Smith greg@emailno1.com 303 5012 John Smith greg@emailno1.com 303 6233 John Smith greg@emailno1.com 303 4880 Dulcie Abuud dulcie@theiremail.com 303
However it is listing the non duplicate rows, For example: The record with Abuud as the last name, doesn't have any duplicates in the table, so I don't want it listed.
The data should be like this: 3927 Greg Smith greg@emailno1.com 303 5012 John Smith greg@emailno1.com 303 6233 John Smith greg@emailno1.com 303

I want these 3 as duplicated and I have googled for a query and found one.But the problem is I'm getting only one column but I want those 2 columns. How could it be done.My code is
SELECT CASE WHEN CHARINDEX('http://www.corsair.com', OriginalUrL, 1) > 0 THEN SUBSTRING(OriginalUrl, 24, LEN(OriginalUrl) - 23) WHEN CHARINDEX('http://gaming.corsair.com', OriginalUrl, 1) > 0 THEN SUBSTRING(OriginalUrl, 27, LEN(OriginalUrl) - 26)
[code]...
I want to show them as duplicate and want to return those urls. How can I do it
I have a query that produces unique rows. However, some of the unique rows have the column called testname that has the same test listed more than once. All I want to do is drop the older testname and keep the testdate column.
Select Distinct TestID, TestDate, TestName
From third.test
I want to keep testdate in the query....guessing I need to put in to a temp table then drop the oldest one somehow by doing a subquery using Select Max....
I have a master table and i need to import the rows into the parent and child table.
Master table name is Flatfile_Inventory Parent Table name is INVENTORY Child Tables name are INVENTORY_AMOUNT,INVENTORY_DETAILS,INVENTORY_VEHICLE, Error details will be goes to LOG_INVENTORY_ERROR
I have 4 duplicate rows in the Flatfile_Inventory which i have already inserted in the Parent and child table.
Again when i run the query using stored procedure, its tells that all the 4 rows are duplicate and will move to the Log_Inventory_Error.
I need is if i have the duplicate rows in the flatfile_Inventory when i start inserting into the parent and child table the already inserted row have the unique ID i must identify it and delete that row in the both parent and chlid table. And latest row must get inserted into the Parent and child table from Flatfile_Inventory.
We have the below query which is pulling in Sales and Revenue information. Since the sale is recorded in just one month and the revenue is recorded each month, we need to have the results of this query to only list the Sales amount once, but still have all the other revenue amounts listed for each month. In this example, the sale is record in year 2014 and month 10, but there are revenues in every month as well for the rest of 2014 and the start of 2015 but we only want to the sales amount to appear once on this results set.

I have a table (represented by #Events) that holds modifications made to another table. I do have some control over the table structure and indexing. I want to pull all of the change records that were made between two dates.
The tricky part is to include the previous version of each record, which will usually be found prior to the start date in question.
The code that I have provided below works. So you can use it to easily see what should be returned. But it's very slow in production.
Any better method to pull this data together?
-- Production version of this table has 4.5 million rows (roughly 1,000 rows per day) -- Primary key is on L4Ident (clustered) -- nonclustered index on ProcessDate, LinkRL4 DROP TABLE dbo.#Events; DROP TABLE dbo.#Results; CREATE TABLE dbo.#Events ( L4Ident int IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
Given one table, Table1, with columns Key1 (int), Key2 (int), and Type (varchar)...
I would like to get the rows where Type is equal to 'TypeA' and Key2 is Null that do NOT have a corresponding row in the table where Type is equal to 'TypeB' and Key2 is equal to Key1 from another row
I would like to return only the row where Key1 = 4 because that row meets the criteria of Type='TypeA'/Key2=NULL and does not have a corresponding row with Type='TypeB'/Key1=Key2 from another row.
I have tried this and it doesn't work...
SELECT t1.Key1, t1.Key2, t1.Type FROM Table1 t1 WHERE t1.Key2 IS NULL AND t1.Type LIKE 'TypeA' AND t1.Key1 NOT IN (SELECT Key1 FROM Table1 t2 WHERE t1.Key1 = t2.Key2 AND t1.Key1 <> t2.Key1 AND t2.Type LIKE 'TypeB')
I have the table with the similar set of records which mentioned below, find the time difference between two rows of record. By Using the MsgOut column i have to find time taken b/w PS & PV and some record doesnt have PV .
I was wondering if anyone can tell me an easy way to find duplicate records on sql. The thing is this, at work we have a database (table) which includes tracking numbers, I need a easy way to be able to search this table for duplicate tracking numbers and print them out. I currently access this table to edit some data by using the following path “Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Enterprise Manager” then work my down the tree to “Databases > Master > Tables” on tables I do a right click and “open table/query”. Any help would be most appreciated. Believe me I’m very “SQL illiterate”
I have written this script: What I want to do now is, with the new JOINED table find and display all the duplicates custID WHERE the price is either 100 OR 200. Can anyone help? I am very new to all this and can't see how to do it. Thanks!
SELECT * FROM table_customer T1 INNER JOIN table_itemsBought T2 ON T2.custID = T1.custID WHERE price = '100' OR price = '200';
I have this query that I have been using to find duplicate records works great except for now. The logic I am adding is pcs_rreas <> 'NG'. When I add this it does take out the NG, but it also excludes the reocords that have NULL data in this field. I don't want that to happen. How can I fix this? I tried adding (pcs_rreas <> 'NG' or pcs_rreas is null) but nothing is pulling now.
How can we monitor the all tables in all databases and send notifications to the team.Is there a way to check to find the no of rows and size of a table last month and find out growth % now
Hello friends, I have a one problem, i have a table in that some reocrds are duplicate.i want to find which records are duplicate. for exp. my table is as follows emp_id emp_name 1 aa 2 bb 3 cc 1 aa 3 cc 3 cc and i want the result is like emp_id emp_name 1 aa 1 aa 3 cc 3 cc 3 cc
Not sure how to do this. I think I need to use a Group By query. I have a "Products" table with the following fields:
Program# Number UPC Item Item# Size Dept
Everything is specific to the Program#. In other words, for every instance of a Program# there can be more than one Product, which is specified by the "Number" field. So: SELECT * FROM Product WHERE [Program#] = '12345' should return this:
In which case I have to fix them (the "Number" field) with an update query sp they are numbered sequentially. Luckily, this doesn't happen very often.
Can someone help me with a query that will return only those records with duplicate values in the "Number" field? I am not sure how to construct this query which I will use as a stored procedure.
f_namef_countryf_ID ABCUS123 DEFGB123 ABCUS456 GHIGB789 etc.
I need to run a query to discover all instances where a f_name and f_country pair exists for more than one f_ID. ABC/US is one such example; IDs 123 and 456 have this pair.
Someone ran an update statement multiple times so their are multiple entries in the table. Â What is the quickest way to track down the multiple entries? Â I would only want to see where timein and timeoff exist in the table multiple times for the same id. Â So this would be a duplicate
EntryID -- ID Â -- timein -- timeoff 1487 Â 11 Â Â 2015-05-05 16:33:23 Â 2015-05-05 18:45:26 1623 Â 11 Â Â 2015-05-05 16:33:23 Â 2015-05-05 18:45:26
I used the following select statement to get duplicate records on Case_number column
select cases.distinct case_link, cases.case_number from cases group by case_link having case_number > 1
I got the error message that
"'cases.warrant_number' is invalid in the select list because it is not contained in either an aggregate function or the GROUP BY clause. AND cases.case_number' is invalid in the HAVING clause because it is not contained in either an aggregate function or the GROUP BY clause.
Any idea on a better statement to use. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
Hi, I have a table and this is what i did to get the desired result
Select A.col1,count(A.col1) from Tab1 group by col1 having count(A.Col1) > 1
i tried this - but it didnot worked - it returned col1 as blanks - Select A.col1,B.Col2,count(A.col1) from Tab1 A, Tab2 B where A.col1 = B.col1 group by A.col1 , b.col2 having count(A.Col1) > 1
As I was looking for all the rows that are apperaing more than once.
Now - The problem -
I have to join this table to another table Tab2 to get the other details. My Tab2 is a table from where I have to pull the Customer DEtails like name, address etc. How should I write this query? Any thinuhts? TIA
