Hi,
I just want to know how to search text/record inside the Html files. I had one column in my database named €˜Path€™ I saved the html file names in this column and the physical files in a folder. Full Text search is enabled on this column. Whenever I try to search it returns nothing.
Just need one small example to know how it works, what functions used to search inside the files and how.

I have written a small code that is used to read records from a txt or a csv file, but when i try to read from a txt or csv file which is in unicode, i get the following error
No value given for one or more required parameters........this error is recieved on the following line

this code works if i choose a csv or txtfile which is in ANSI format. But i want to read from a unicode file because i have some information in that unicode format that i want to store

I am retrieving a field from SQL and displaying that data on a web page.
The data contains a mixture of text and html codes, like this "<b>test</b>".
But rather than displaying the word test in bold, it is displaying the entire sting as text.
How do I get it to treat the HTML as HTML?
Dear all I create this html file on the fly in my asp.net application abd what i would like to do is to store it inside my sql2005 database. What would be the best way?The html file itself is not really big. Probably not more then 600 - 800 characters most. I was thinking the text type fields of the database and then when retreiving it dump it inside in a file and save the file with html extention. Are there any better sugestions? Hi,
I am getting these errors from Report Manager. It seems that every time after the server has been idling for about 15 minutes, I would get this error message. I can click on other links and I am able to continue to use Report Manager.
Is there a timeout setting to help me resolve this or is this a bug with Report Manager? I just insitalled SP2 on the SQL Server and the Reporting Service.

I have a text object on my crystal report, to which I programmatically want to assign text in CS. It all works fine, except that if I have html tags in there, the text doesn't get formatted, it just displays the html tags as text as well.
Now in thread linked above, the answer was: right click the text object, and format the text object, hit paragraph text and select text interpretation to HTML. The only problem is, that for a text object, it doesn't have the text interpretation option. It's only an option for a formula field. It says so in the tech support link posted inside the post itself!!!
So if you have any idea how I can do this, please someone help me out. I am new to crystal, and there's not much helpful info on it online. I've searched for this for hours, and no solution.

Hi,I have setup a report model and am ready to deploy it for the first time. I have had no issues deploying my report definitions so presumably this should be alright.However, trying to deploy it gives this error:

How to identify whether the files are in read write or read only?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two database files, one .mdf and one .ndf. The creator of these files has marked them readonly. I want to "attach" these files to a new database, but cannot do so because they are read-only. I get this message:
Server: Msg 3415, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Database 'TestSprintLD2' is read-only or has read-only files and must be made writable before it can be upgraded.
What command(s) are needed to make these files read_write?

But I am unable to figure out what is the best solution to retrieve and display an image in a html file(stored in varbinary(max) column). I have a list of images in the file and I am supposed to display them. Can anybody please let me know what is the best way to do this?

In SQL 2005 if i was trying to insert some data with a text qualifier inside a text qualified field, it would work, for example:
"Name","ID ","Location","","Comany",""House Name" Road",
In SQL 2012, this fails with the error message, cannot find the text qualifer for field.
To get around this, we are having to import the data into a Dirty Data column of aTEMP table, ID, Dirty Data, Clean data - perform multiple updates and change the text qualifier and ensure they are only changed in the right places so we can keep the ". In this example, we changed the text qualifier to PIPES.
After these updates, we then export the data from CLEAN data back out to CSV, then reimport it into the origional destination table with a new text qualifer.

The report format is the same but the data changes for each store.Option 1:Write an asp.net page where the user selects the store, or a store parameter is pased, hit SQL Server with a SP and display the data. - This option seem to have the advantage of flexibility and simplicity.Option 2:Write out a static XML/HTML report for each store and have the asp.net page load the static file. - This options seems to have the advantage of speed on the client side but is less flexible and more complex on the backend.Any thoughts?For option 2 is it possible to write out the XML/HTML files using SQL Server or does something custom need to be created?Thanks, Gary

View_STATE_CODE points to remote SQL server named PROD. There is error when I run this query:

MSDTC on server 'PROD' is unavailable.

The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB' was unable to begin a distributed transaction.
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'SQLOLEDB' ITransactionJoin::JoinTransaction returned 0x8004d01c].
It looks like remote server is not available inside the local transaction. How to handle that?

I have a specific requirement.
I have to generate a report on the fly.
The display fields, parameters and sort conditions would be user specified at run time in a ASP.NET web form. There will be a superset of the display, filter and sort fields out of which the user cans select one or more.
From the web form, i am taking these three parts as three strings and sending them as parameters to a Stored Procedure. The Stored Procedure will read each string, and identify what are the individual fields and generates the result accordingly.
So here my requirement is that Reporting Services must read the Stored Procedure, create a dataset and even create the User Interface all at run-time as we do not know what fields are displayed at design time. The Headers for each field come from the Stored Procedure. I have to show the report based on what are the fields in the Stored procedure at that instance of time.
I hope i have explained very clearly.

Hi all. Iv'e tryed out xp_smtp_sendmail, and I like what I can see sofar. The thing I wonder about is if the xp supports sending both htmlAND plain text in the same mail. I'm on a sql2000 sp3 and I have noproblem with the xp when i either send plain text or html, but asstated above I need to send with both formats in one mail......For use when one does not know if the receiver uses a mail-client thatsupports html or not. I am working in an environment where i inherited bad design. I have a column in a table. This col contains huge HTML files. We are mostly reading these files and very little updates.
I am changing this whole architecture and going to using Azure Blob storage. I am stuck right now. I need to extract these html strings and save them into separate files in year/month/day/filename.html format. I have another column in the table which has create date saved in it.
I am planning to import all these files into BLOB storage and save link in the table.
1) How can i extract these strings from the table and save them in the year/month/day/filename.html directory/sub-directory format
2) How to import these files into BLOB storage.
I am using FOR XML to generate the HTML and following is my query. I am using td { white-space:nowrap;} for the columns to used no wrap. But i want two columns which need to be wrapped. i have tried lots of options.

I ran a CONTAINS query for the word "target" in a bunch of index web pages. I came up with lots of matches -- but they were all inside html tags:

and get the values of all the <XMLFileName> attribute and load them into some variables,say here the filename is "17470_652.xml", I have to look for this file in a specified location, open the XML file and load the contents to a table ? It can be presumed that all the XML files will be stored in a same location

I started to get out of space on the server C: drive.
I checked and I was using file system storage on the C drive in:
C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.xReporting ServicessRSTempFiles
I checked the folder and it is 1 GB.
My questions or doubts;
1) I read that the path can be changed without any problem, in the same server we have a D drive with 40GB of space, so I am planning to change the path to: D:RSTempFiles. Any experience on changing that path?
2) If the change of path is successfull, how I can delete the files on the RSTempFiles on the C: drive. Can I directly delete the files? Ther just previous snapshots or I will lose something? Any experience with this will be great.
