Recently i started learning working on Analysis services and writing MDX expressions, so please forgive my ignorance if this is a trivial question. I ran out of s. Don't know what I should do to fix this. Please point me in the right direction.
We have a cube with one fact table(Imperative Fact) and two dimensions (Client, Client Imperative). A Client has several Imperatives. One of the attributes of Client Imperative dimension is Target Outcome. This is a text field. We created a measure Client Imperative Count that gives the number of imperatives a client has. The business defined 'Client Imperative' KPI as following :
If client has 1 or more imperatives and has Target outcome then show green. If client has 1 or more imperatives and does not haveTarget outcome then show yellow. if the client does not have imperative then show red.
Wrote the following KPI Status expression but it doesn't seem to work. Hitting a dead end. couldn't figure this out.

This table has 3 columns (Property ID's, Sales Price and Sales Date). I would like for dataset6 to pull the Property ID's that are NOT contained in the results from dataset1. In other words, I'd like the results of dataset6 to show me the property id's that are contained in the AUDITS table but which are not being pulled into dataset1. Both tables are in the same database.
I have a small number of rows in a dataset, Table 1. There is a CLOB on a large dataset, Table 2. They join on a PK. I would like to retrieve this CLOB and add it to the data flow for Table1. In short I want to emulate the following:
Table 1: Small table without CLOB, 10 rows. Table 2: Large table with CLOB, 10,000,000 rows
select CLOB from table2 where pk = (select pk from table1)
I want this to return the CLOBs for the small number of rows in Table 1. The PK is indexed obviously so it should be a fast look up.
Table 1 and Table 2 live on different Oracle databases. How do I perform this operation efficiently in SSIS? It seems the Lookup and Merge Join wont do this.

I found out the data I need for my SQL Report is already defined in a dynamic dataset on another web service. Is there a way to use web services to call another web service to get the dataset I need to generate a report? Examples would help if you have any, thanks for looking

I have 2 Time Dimensions ; Time (Transdate) and ClosedDate (ClosedDate)
In my report/query, if [Time].CurrentMember = [Time].[YMD].[YMD].[2006].[200610].[20061031] I want to FILTER out all ClosedDate < [ClosedDate].[YMD].[YMD].[2006].[200610].[20061031]
Both Time Dimensions are Year -> Month -> Day and have the same Members.
I have every option available, using calculated Members and/or Measures to do this.
The report I'm creating is Aging of Receivables : Balance / 30 days / 60 days / etc.. But for the Aging, I need to filter like explained above.
Hi, I have a stored procedure attached below. It returns 2 rows in the SQL Management studio when I execute MyStorProc 0,28. But in my program which uses ADOHelper, it returns a dataset with tables.count=0. if I comment out the line --If @Status = 0 then it returns the rows. Obviously it does not stop in if @Status=0 even if I pass @status=0. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

i have two datasets.one dataset have old data from some other database.second dataset have original data from sql server 2005 database.both database have same field having id as a primary key.i want to transfer all the data from first dataset to new dataset retaining the previous data but if old dataset have the same id(primary key) as in the new one then that row will not transfer. but if the id(primary key) have changed values then the fields updated with that data.how can i do that.
D2 is a list of data. each row in D2 has a classid. D2 may or may not have all the classids in D1. all classids in D2 must be in D1.

Forgive the noob question, but i'm still learning SQL everyday and was wondering which of the following is faster? I'm just gonna post parts of the SELECT statement that i've made changes to:
INNER JOIN Facilities f ON e.Facility = f.FacilityID AND f.Name = @FacilityName
OR
WHERE f.Name = @FacilityName
My question is whether or not the query runs faster if i put the condition within the JOIN line as opposed to putting in the WHERE line? Both ways seems to return the same results but the time difference between methods is staggering? Putting the condition within the JOIN line makes the query run about 3 times faster?
Again, forgive my lack of understanding, but could someone agree or disagree and give me the cliff-notes version of why or why not?

is there anyway to retrieve the database properties and display in an asp.net web form as a quick over view rather than logging onto the server to check, items such as size, space available, last backup data etc? Cheers
Hi and thanks for your help specifying the default database means what. for instance when I add alog in user and I have to choose a default database. Does it make a difference if the Default database is Master or any other user database name. What is the significant to select Master vs any other database.
Hello! We are having problems with a single SQL Server where the Server properties will not save, and always revert to the default. It occurs only on those tabs with "configured" and "running" options at the bottom. Other tabs will keep the settings we custom. The big problem is with the memory and processor tabs which even when we've made only a single change and stopped and started the service, reverts back to a default. Any clues - we are logged in as "sa" and have not removed the SA priviledges.

NOTE: If I dont use the last 2 parameters this procedure runs fine, but it adds the Extended Property to the Database Level while I'm trying to add it to the TABLE-->COLUMN level.
We installed an application named Streamserve. Now, if I go into Enterprise Manager I can expand the databases fine. But when I try to right-click properties Enterprise Manager goes bye bye. No error messages. I tried this on master and same thing. I currently have 2 different machines - a dev and a QA box and both are behaving badly.

Im having abit off trouble with my images positioning..
I have 3 images in the header placed side by side with a rectangle around them sent to the back
In layout view the images look correct, however when i deploy the report the rectangle appears on top and then the images appear undernealth each other...when they should be inside the rectangle. is there something like float on top properties similar to objects in Word?
A separate question, I also have a table to the right off the table i have an image and under that image another image...when i preview the report the second image is pushed to the bottom of where the table ends...is there someway to make the image appear side by side to the table instead off getting pushed down to the bottom...something similar to a frame in HTML ?
