Help With Inserting Data (and A Picture) Into My Sql Server 2005 Database

I have a scenario where I want the current User to add details regarding their house in to my 'Property' table in my database and also store their uploaded picture in the same tabe when they press the 'Add Property' button. I also want to store the current Users ID in the 'Property' table so the property being added is assigned to the current user. Can anyone help me with the implementation of this? Here is the code I have so far:

Inserting Picture In Report Builder Report

I want my users to be able to insert the logo when they create reports using report builder. Documentation tells that under Insert tab you can click on "Picture" and then browse to the location of the file and insert a picture. But I dont see "Picture" option under Insert menu. I only see 3 options "text box","Filter Description" and "Total Row Count".

I am new to SQL Server and I have got this problem and I am wondering if anyone could provide me with a solution, please.
I created a Product database table using Visual Basic 2005 Express and SQL Server 2005 Express. I have just added a new column [Picture] with IMAGE datatype to the database table, which of course, should store an image or picture of a product. I am writing to kindly ask you guys for help.
i) How do I store a picture or image for each record of this column [Picture] of database table? I have tried and all that I can see is < binary data > in the picture column, and when I start the VB 2005 Express form is a blank picture box!
ii) How do I get this image to display on Visual Basic 2005 Express form, so that when a product is selected the product image is displayed too? All text data appears but not the picture!

1) Is it default behavior of SQL server to lock table while doing insert?
2) if yes to Q1, then how we can implicitly mention while inserting data.
3) If I have 4 tables and one table is having foreign keys from rest of the 3 tables, on this scenario do I need to use the table lock explicitly or without that I can insert records into those tables?

Sep 18, 2014I have a 2010 SSIS package where I am reading csv files with different fields and formatted data, I have created separate packages for each file and I am formatting the data to fit the final destination tables data elements, I've been instructed to create 7 separate packages to read each file and the format the data from the 7 csv files, and insert into their table tbl1, tbl2, tbl3...etc then, I'm taking a execute sql task and wanting to insert the tbl1, tbl2, tbl3...etc into destination table that will be the final table for all reports and other uses.
1- should I create a ID?
2- these files will be read once a month
3- I want to append the data, not drop and recreate each run,
4- It's 2012 SQL and 2010 SSIS
Each csv file is in a different format, some have 15 columns, other have 8 I have to parse the data, in SP to align with the fields in the destination table.
5- Can I force RowID to be the next auto gen number from tbl1,for the start of insert for tbl2, then last row of tbl2 for insert of tbl3???

Aug 12, 2015I am working on moving information from one of our databases into a newer one the company has recently setup. I am working in MS SQL Server 2012 and am trying to Inset/Update (depending on the information) a part table. I will list the two tables I am working on as Old (where I am getting the information) and New (where it is to be inserted into).
The old table has about 250 columns of information, most of which is not needed. The needed information is as follows: Name, ID, Component1, Component1_PIN, Component1_SN, Component1_Description, Component2, Component2_PIN, Component2_SN. The component section repeats up to Component12.
The new table has columns setup as such: Name, ID, Case, CasePIN, CaseSN, Case_Desc, Processor, ProcessorPIN, ProcessorSN, Processor_Description, Memory, MemoryPIN, MemorySN, Memory_Description, etc.
The issue I am having is that in the old table each component can have Case, Processor, Memory, etc in that one column. I need to insert Case, Memory, etc into the correct column in the new table while keeping intact the rest of the information.

Each time that he submits his data, if he is using Internet Explorer, it will insert blank data into sql server database. Aug 12, 2015I am trying to insert a value in the table. Sometimes the value has this symbol at the end. I just want insert the entire value except this symbol. The values can be like this that I am insert in the table
Insert into Table1(col1)
Values (12345§ )
The values can be, below is just an example

5678D
FGR564
I want to insert only these values from the above data
12345
3456DER
5678
FGR564

I want to insert only distinct values of Col1 from table A to another table
Insert into TableB

UserName, ProjectName, processdate, Recordprocess, Comments, RecordProcessExt

values(@UserName, 'Test Project', getDate(), distinct Col1 from Table1, 'Test Comments', distinct col1+ 'TR' from TableA)
How can I accomplish the above. I need to insert distinct column from TableA to RecordProcess and col1+'Tr' to recordprocessExt.I can do it with cursor. I don't know any other way.
Also, there are other columns in Table A. I am using sql server 2005.

However, there is a problem with the SQL command. The problem is related to the date. Is there a way of programatically inserting the current date/time into the SQL database? Language used is VB.

SQL Server 2014 :: Transaction Rollback When Multiple Threads Are Inserting Records Into Table Because Of Trigger
Jun 18, 2014I have two tables called ECASE and PROJECT
In the ECASE table there is trigger to get the max value of case_id column in ecase based on project and increment one to that case_id value and insert into ecase table .
When we insert a new record to the ECASE table this trigger calls and insert the case_id column value.
When i run with multiple threads , the transaction is rolled back because of trigger . The reason is , on the project table the lock is happening while getting the max value of case_id column based on project.
I need to prevent the deadlock .

Error Inserting Image Into SQL Server2000 Table From Pocket PC Application Only When Using Stored Procedure In Table Adapter Wiz
Apr 24, 2008My Pocket PC application exports signature as an image. Everything is fine when choose Use SQL statements in TableAdapter Configuration Wizard.
