Integration Services :: Cannot Deploy ISPACs After Upgrade From TFS2010 To TFS2013
May 15, 2015
I migrated our TFS server from TFS2010 on one server to another server running TFS2013. I get the SSIS projects to build into .ISPAC files fine using .PROJ files or by using the build option in Visual Studio. And I can deploy the project to another machine running SSIS via the Visual Studio deploy option. The problem happens when I try to automate this via ISDeploymentWizard.exe running on the machine where the package is deployed, it fails with the error: "The package failed to load due to error 0xC0011008 "Error loading from XML. No further detailed error information can be specified for this problem because no Events object was passed where detailed error information can be stored.". This occurs when CPackage::LoadFromXML fails."
i assumed that this could be due to the package being built with newer VS tools so I updated the management studio bits to the latest for SQL 2012 SP2, and after I updated the paths to use the latest ISDeploymentWizard.exe version, it now fails with the error: "To launch the Integration Services Deployment wizard, one of the components: Integration Services, Management Tools - Basic or SQL Server Data Tools has to be installed by the %SQL_PRODUCT_SHORT_NAME% Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation
To install a component, run SQL Server Setup and select the component name."As I mentioned, I have SQL 2012 SP12 Enterprise Edition 11.0.5058.0 (X64) running on the machine with the instance of SSIS where the package is being installed.I also installed VS 2013 on that machine, built and deployed the .ISPAC to the same local machine just fine. I just can't get it to work with ISDeploymentWizard in automation..

Hi, all,
I am having a question about SSIS. Is it a totally new product in SQL Server 2005 or it is a upgrade version of previous version DTS? Thanks a lot for any guidance for that.
With best regards,

I "upgraded" to Windows 10 (I was installing a new c: drive anyway). Â I installed SQL Server & SSIS, Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server Data Tools 2012, etc. When I try to load up my project (.sln) in SQL Data Tools I get the following warnings/errors:

Error 3
Error loading ImportFiles.dtsx: The version number in the package is not valid. The version number cannot be greater than current version number. Â
Error 4
Error loading ImportFiles.dtsx: Package migration from version 8 to version 6 failed with error 0xC001700A "The version number in the package is not valid. The version number cannot be greater than current version number.". Â
Error 5

value from functions that encounter errors.". This occurs when CPackage::LoadFromXML fails.Â
As well as installing Windows 10, I had also renamed by computer. Â I have tried renaming it back (I noticed some references to the computer name in the xml), but no difference.Have I installed the wrong versions of one of the software? Â If so, how could I check which one I need to install (to match the VS project/dts package)? Â

- Which folder from the SQL Media is required to ensure that only Management Studio deploys (we would like to limit the size of the deployment Package)?
- What command line options do we need to use to install the Advanced version of Management Studio with all of the Tools and Books Online. I have found the following but there is not a clear distinction about what is required and what is optional:

following command line options for machine that has 2008 R2 Management Studio on it?
Setup.exe /q /ACTION=upgrade /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /FEATURES=Tools

Hello, I have a configuration where my SharePoint services are running on a web machine and the SQL server reporting services are running on a different machine.
I installed SQL SP2 and the SQL Server Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint by following all the instructions listed in €œConfiguring Reporting Services for SharePoint 3.0 Integration€? (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326356.aspx).
My issue is that when I Deploy a report from a VS Report Server project by running Visual Studio on the machine where reporting servicers is running, everything works fine.
But if I try the same thing on any other machine on the network, I get a €œThe file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by the server administrators.€? message.
I€™m sure I€™m missing something on the configuration but I can€™t tell what.
Thanks a lot

Hello friends.
I managed to design an Integration service package, but the desired level of performance has not been achieved(i.e it is performing slow).
So I want to know what are the best practices for optimized solution .
In my package I'm exreacting data from XML file and Storing it in SQL server database with some processing dring data flow.
I'm using
1) Two Script Task Control -In these control,I m opening the connection to XML file through VB.net code and
iterating each record at a time.
2)Two OLE DB Command -Each fetched record from script task component is processed in OLEDB command through
stored procedure and then inseted into database.
3)One for Loop -This loop contains two script Task control and two OLEDB Command control,
(mentioned above),for fetching single record and inserting it in database.
4)One derived Column
5)One Multicast
6)One Character Map
7)One OlEDB Source
As with my current performance I'm able to insert one record in every .5 second (Which is much below to acceptable limits)
Is control lying disabled on SSIS designer pane also affect the performance of execution.

But comes deploying the cube, it's giving the error saying "A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running." The Deploy Target server and database are the same where my datamart is. Or, maybe I don't know what I'm doing.

I am using vista, iis7 sql server 2005 sp2, vs 2005.
i first noticed that i could not deploy to the localhost server after upgrading to vista.
i installed sql server sp2 and configured the iis7 using the control panel. Everything i needed to check off got loaded exept the asp.net check box in the ApplicationDevelopmentFeatures subcategory under the iis configuration section.
It errored out when i clicked apply. there was no specific error just that it did not get added.
Controlpanel> Programs>T urnWindowsFeaturesOnAndOff> InternetInformationServices> WorldWideWebServices> ApplicationDevelopmentFeatures> Asp.net (check box)
When i click OK, afte a few minutes, i get a message:
"An error has occurred. Not all the features were successfully changed."
what good is iis7 if it cannot support asp.net?
I assume something is wrong. It is not permissions. I am the administrator account and i have assigned my account as the administrator for both sql server and reporting services.
So what is it?

Hi All,
I installed SQL Server 2005 SP2 recently. After that when I try to
deploy a solution in SSRS 2005, I get a dialog box with title:
"Reporting Services Login". It has my server listed as the first row:
"http://localhost/reportserver" and then it has two text boxes asking
for Username and Password.
I checked my IIS settings and only Integrated Security is checked for
the Reports Server folder (and for the entire website). I tried to
change that to Allow Anonymous Access = Checked, but still the same
problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks! GB

Is there a known problem with BIS Deploy not clearing cache. I repeatly (but not always) have an issue where I will do a BIS Deploy of an RDL but when I run it, the old report runs. I can't clear this out until I explicitly log into the Report Manager and explicitly delete the RDL and re-deploy from the BIS.
Is there a workaround, fix, process change, configuration change I can do to keep this from happening?

Hello, I have a problem when trying to fully process an SSAS database using Integration Services "Analysis Services Processing Task" task. I have 2 of these tasks which are responsible for processing the Dimensions then the Cubes. When I run the package either via the BIDS environment or on the local server from the Integration Services engine, I will get an error after about 20 minutes stating:
"Error: Memory Error: Allocation failure. Not enough storage is available to process this command""Error: Errors in the metadata manager. An error occurred when loading the <cube name> cube from the file \?D:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.2OLAPDataMyWarehouse<cube file>.xml"
The cube name is not specific, it will fail and any of my cubes could be in the error log
If I fully process the AS database using the AS engine (logon to local AS server, right-click AS database and click Process), I get no errors at all, it processes and completes fine. The processing options are identical when I run in AS or via the SSIS "Analysis Services Processing Task" task.
I've searched quite a lot online but no joy, the information I have gleaned from various sites does not directly link SSIS with SSAS processing problems.
When either the AS processing starts via SSAS or SSIS the memory usage of MSMDSRV.exe increases to around 1.4 / 1.5 GB but never goes to 2GB ever, even when the error appears.
I've done the following with no effect.
" Have run via AS and works fine
" No specific cube it fails on
" Have created a Dimension only package, same problem
" Changed the maxmemorylimit
" Changed the connections to localhost
" Memory DOES NOT max out on server
Server Specs:
Windows Server 2003 Standard + Service Pack 2
4GM ram, 2GB paging file
SQL Server 2005 + Service Pack 2
Can anyone help?

So I get the basics, have a script that can deploy a single report to a single server. I have other simple scripts that work as well. Now I want a script that can deploy a single report to multiple Sharepoint servers. I have about 30. I know we are probably doing this wrong, as in, we shouldn't be deploying the same report to 30 sites, as they are all all technically all on the same server however they are all independent site collections so as far as I know there is no way to deploy them to a central location and then link to them from each site.
So I tried to copy elements of my single report deploy script and duplicate the Sub Main() to Sub Main1() and Sub Main2() with multiple "ParentPath1" dims, yes I know I'm stupid. That obviously didn't work. So looking at some other scripts including my own subscription updater and I'm sure I need to do some kind of "For Each item in X" but where to start. The other lists I've seen all come from rs.Something. My list is just 30 variables in the script, how can I say for each site in this list, Publish this report?
Here's the simple script that works fine. I just don't know how to modify it to make it deploy this to multiple sites. After I figure that out, I was going to accept the challenge of deploying multiple reports to multiple sites in a single script...
Dim warnings As Warning() = Nothing
Dim parentFolder As String = "Reports"
Dim filePath As String = "filepath"
Dim reportName As String = "Report file name"
Dim parentPath As String = "Sharepoint site URL"
Public Sub Main()
[Code] ....

Hi,
I just tried to install SP1 for SQL 2005. All of the steps succeeded except for the upgrade for Reporting Services, which failed with the error "Unable to install Windows Installer MSP file". When I checked the log there were a whole host of errors such as

and
"12/19/2006 09:06:47.093 Failed to read registry key: Debug"
I am running a default instance, and was running the install under an account with local admin privileges.

I'm trying to upgrade an existing installation of SSE 2005 to SSE 2005 with Advanced Services SP1 so I can take advantage of Reporting Services. I'm installing on a box that has XP Pro SP2 installed. As prompted by the SSE setup, I had to install IIS. After installing IIS, the setup went along okay until it came time to configure the report server. I chose the default (configure with the default configuration) and I get the following error message:

I'm trying to install a new stand-alone version with a default instance but always getting this error. From the features I'm installing the database engine services (not the replication), all the tools, only the basic management toolds and the SQL Client connectivity SDK.
Further in the installation I'm choosing the Windows authentication and in the list of SQL administrators I've already tried to install as current user but also as System. Both with the same error result.

I upgraded to Sql Server Express 2005 w/Advanced Services, chose to install full-text indexing, rebooted, but appear to be unable to set up full-text indexing for a column. After attaching the old mdf file and opening any table in either Management Studio Express or Visual C# Express, I don't get anything but a disabled (Is Full-text Indexed) property for the fields I want to set up. I have verified that FullText Search service is running, and have tried restarting the service. I have also checked that full-text indexing is enabled on the database.
I just feel like I am missing some simple step. Any info would be welcome.

Is there a way to give customers access to SSIS? They need to be able to create their own SSIS packages. Of course we have more then one customer so it would be nice to have modular security in place where they don't get to see customers abc and customer xyz packages. Only their own.
thanks!
