I have Developed ETL Package Which Supplying the CSV File, if I run the package Next time if Same File name is there I need to Rename the that File with Currentdatetime need to move in to Archive Folder. if that File is not exist in that location no need to move the file into Archive file.

For debugging purposes i want to copy the whole app_data folder(.mdf & .log files) on the production server to another folder on the same machine(or sometimes to a network folder). So when i copy and try to paste this App_data folder to a new location, i get this error message
"cannot copy ASPNETDB: it is being used by another person or program. close any programs that might be using the file and try again."
After reading the above message, i close visual web developer, stop the website in IIS and stop the SQLExpress service on the server and try again but still get the same message.
So how can i make sure that all the programs accessing these database files are closed such that i'm able able to copy them to a different location.

I'm using the FTP Task in SSIS to send files. They task succeeds but the files get uploaded to the wrong folder. Instead of being sent to the cg268301 folder they are being sent to the cg268300 despite selecting /cg268301 from the remote path field in the FTP task editor.
I've tried uploading this file to the /cg268301 file using an execute process task and it works fine. I just don't know why it won't work with the FTP task.

I know a WMI event watcher can be used to watch for a new file being added to a folder. However, I need to check for new folders being added to an existing folder. I haven't been able to find a post on doing this. Is there a way in WQL to check for a new folder being added instead of a new file? I've used SQL for years, but am new to SSIS.

It was working okay in the SQL Agent 2005 server until we moved to the new server SQL Agent 2012 using the same package SSIS package 2005. Now the issue is, instead of creating the folder based on YYYY_MM, it's now being created as YYYY_DD.I've checked the Regional settings of both server and they have the same "ENGLISH (United States) format. I know the BAT file can be improved by not depending current locale in WINDOWS, but I just want to understand how this issue occurs and how does the regional setting being overridden?
I have a situation from where I need to loop through different folders and files in these folders. After processing these files, I need to archive these folders to different location.
e.g., C:MainFolderMar01 ==> Multiple files in Mar01 folder
C:MainFolderMar02 ==> Multiple files in Mar02 folder

so on....
If you look at those files, they have date and time being appended
I would have move that file to a Processing folder and process the csv file and move that file to an archive folder every hour.
How would i rename the file to only file_demo.csv file.

SO i need to automate this files renaming process through ssis package.
I've been working on an SSIS package trying to load some data and the archive sequence is faulty. I've been trying to load a few tables created in a previous sequence into a local archive file and I've been getting the error "Could not find a part of the path."
The results aren't telling me what it's finding last and so I don't know where to start.
And the source DOES have data in it. It's something between the source and the destination.
I have a dataflow task that load data from flat file to SQL Table.
In need to rename the file with the datestamp(current date ) at the end of filename.
I am daily getting a file like Vendor_20150820_2484.csv , Vendor_20150821_2484.csv as the file name getting changed so I cannot load data .

I need to know how to create a AScii 7 bit flat file using Integration services. I do have basic charecters in the flat files - only other charecters required are a pipe (|), which is used as delimeter and additionally it will have line feed (LF) which is used as row delimeter.
Please let me know if this is possible.

Problem: I need to export data from a table in a database. I have an SSIS that converts data to this table. To export the data using the SSIS the file needs to be already created (from my understanding). This export location is on another server and the folder location is empty.
Question: How do I create an empty CSV file at this location using either a Script Task, SQL Query, or Space Magic? I have been searching all over for about 4 hours now to no avail.

I am using MS SQL 2005 and using Integration Services I have created FTP task to create a txt file with the required information on to a FTP location. But I need the encoding of the file to be set to AScii 7 bit mode rather than unicode or Ansi-Latin I - which are 16 bit. I tried creating the file first in unicode first & then converting it Ascii, but this made me to loose some data from the generated file. Looks like this doesnt work out and my attempts generating AScii 7 bit flat file is failing. I need solution to URGENTLY otherwise I will have think of some alternative other than Integration services. Egarly waiting for any responses!!

The function obviously executes correctly in postgres, however when I try to execute the function in SQL Server via the linked server:

I have created for each container to call all the packages in a folder like below, also created a variable.
Then I add execute package task inside of foreach container and selected file system in a location and in connection called currently creating package name finally in connection properties i added variable in expression which i created and mapped into for each loop container. I referred below link
