Reporting Services :: Date Picker Not Showing Up When Using Chrome?
Mar 20, 2012I have a date range parameters in my report, and when viewing it using IE and Firefox ReportViewer, the date picker is there. But when I tried running it using Chrome, the date picker was missing. I tried double click on the date field itself but nothing.
My Chrome version is 17.0.963.79 m. I tried allowing the pop-up blocker but still nothing.
Sharepoint Integration With Erroneous Date Format In Date Time Picker

A server with SQL 2005 sp2, Reporting Services and Sharepoint services (ver 3.0) (in integrated mode) gives an odd error. When viewing a Reporting Services report with a Date Time Picker, the date chosen is wrong. The preferred setting is Danish with the date format dd-mm-yyyy. The date picker shows the months in Danish but when selecting a date, and clicking on the Apply-button, the date reformats to US (mm-dd-yyyy).
Example:
When choosing 5th of September 2007 and clicking apply, it shows in the picker, 9th of May 2007.
When choosing 26th of September 2007 and clicking apply, it shows, again in US format, the RIGHT date but adds a timestamp €œ12:00 AM€? in the end, making further enquiries to fail.
The report itself receives the right date and shows correctly. The only case it fails is, when the time stamp appears.
The server is a 32-bit one with 4 GB RAM. A testserver with identical collation on the Reportserver database cannot recreate the error. The site containing the reports has been set to Danish in the regional settings. To Reinstall is not an option.
The test report has no database connection whatsoever.
When setting the site to US, the timestamp won€™t appear at all.
The server has been restarted and the installation procedure was of the simple kind. No special tweaks at all.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reporting Services :: SSRS - Zoom And Print Control Not Visible In IE11 / Firefox And Chrome
Jan 22, 2015It seems the features are disabled when using any of the above because of compatibility issues with scripting/ActiveX not being properly supported by the FireFox and Chrome.
I believe the control determines the browser you are using is not IE and will not render the controls to prevent unexpected behavior because if the lack of ActiveX support. This can be seen when you compare the HTML of a page using IE8 and that of either IE11, FF, Chrome you'll see that the HTML for a zoom drop down control will show up in the IE8 browser and not in the others.
As for IE11 it presents itself as a Mozilla browser. eg: "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko" so when the control see's this it wont generate any of the controls believing the browser can't support it, even though IE11 should certainly be capable of doing so. I wanted to know if this is correct and if this is a bug?

The type of browser used to view the application determines the kind of functionality that you can provide in a report. Use the table provided in this topic to find out which of the supported browsers are subject to report functionality restrictions."
The page mentions that the following wont be supported by other browsers The following features are not supported in third-party browsers:

Reporting Services :: SSRS - Calendar Control With Time Picker
Oct 21, 2015I defined my input parameter as date/time but it doesn't have a time picker where we can accept user input.
The calendar is great but time picker is missing.
Is there any add-in or tweaks I can use to get that feature ?
The alternative solution which uses drop down with some preset values are not feasible for me. All I need is just the time picker similar to adjust time in Windows.

Date Picker In Web Browser Shows Incorrect Date Format

I am using reporting services, when I go to view my report in Report Manager (web browser is IE7), I choose a date from a date picker control, and the date that populates the date field is in US format mm/dd/yyyy, however in my regional settings, although I have English(United States) I have altered my short date format to be dd/mm/yyyy.
Currently my report will display an error saying the date is an invalid format if I pick a date that violates the mm/dd/yyyy format. I want it to display the date format that I have defined in my regional settings, without modifying the 'Language Preference' settings for IE.
The report properties has =User!Language for the 'Language' property.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Jan 1, 2014I'm using SSDT 2012 to create SMO Connection Manager for transferring server objects. However the connection is not working, it always returns error message something like "server is not found". I tried to connect multiple servers, with both Windows and SQL authentications, none of them works. I found the SMO.dll is already installed in the specific folder on my development machine. What would be the reason of this error?
Edited---Added the error message below. I can connect the server using OLEDB or ADO.NET. So my question is, is there a service, protocol or port .... to get SMO Server ready for responding?

I have this expression for column 1:

But the ISNULL function will not work. I am sure, there are some NULL Values in Column [1] but i get all the Time the value 1.0 back.
I need the Value 0 instead of NULL to calculate the days in an extra Column.
So that i have in the end a result column which have values for example: 4,5 or 5,5 .why ISNULL is not working?

This datasets are using Stored procedure for execution of the report.One of the stored procedure using Order by clause and returning the data.But on running the report , the report viewer displays the unsorted data of the filed. I've Created Local Smtp to use gmailid for Subscription of SSRS Report by Email as we don't have an Exchange Server.

Studied few blogs that related it to agent service running under local system account, on my machine it was running on NT/NetworkService change it to Administrator of local Machine. Did same change for Database Engine of Service of SQL Instance.
FYI- My Machine is not in Domain, so used local administrator for giving rights to service mentioned above.

Reporting Services :: SSRS Reports Are Not Working In IE11
Sep 7, 2015We had migrated the SSRS reports from 2008 R2 to SSRS 2012 SP2Â version. We had a strange issues after migration.
The report which is having images is not working and it just hangs.
The reports which doesn't have any images are working fine.
On top of it some times we are getting the following error message.
Error message : The request failed with HTTP status 503: Server Error.

Integration Services :: Expressions Not Working After Exiting A Sequence Container?
Sep 21, 2015I have an SSIS package that is pretty simple.
An Execute SQL task returns one row with two values that are correctly stored into variables.
Based off those two variables, a sequence container is chosen to execute.
That sequence container then does magic. The last step of the container has an execute SQL task that runs and stores the result in a variable - let's call this[User::result] with type Int32.
Based off the value in [User::result] one of two final tasks run. A non zero value executes one task; a zero value executes another. Basically,SOMETHING runs after this.
Simple? I thought so... except Step 4 doesn't work. If I set a post-execute breakpoint on the sequence container, the variables are populated as expected, but nothing else runs. If I add another task to run (without a conditional expression) to run after the sequence container completes, the pre-execute breakpoint shows the data looking exactly as I expect.
Those script tasks are just MessageBox.Show calls and the expression, as you can see, doesn't use variables at all.

It should be: Group1 expanded, Group2 collapsed, Group3 header hidden and detail rows hidden
It is showing: Group1 expanded, Group2 collapsed, Group3 header hidden, Group3 detail row visible.
I never had this trouble in 2005. Is there something different about row visibility in 2008?
Reporting Services :: Can Grow Property Is Not Working In Ssrs 2008 R2
Jan 31, 2011Currently i am working on SSRS 2008 R2.The issue is that it is wrapping long words and not growing. I set the property can grow to True.
How to prevent the word wrapping?
For example, the column will have the word "information" in it. Instead of the column showing:

it shows:

n
The "n" gets wrapped to the next line. Is there a way to prevent this from happening.

i've just updated my sql server 2005 with sp1 and sp2.
i want my report date format to change according to regional setting, therefore i've set the report property for language as User.Language.
how do i set the report parameter of type datetime to follow the format of regional setting?
my date parameter has default value which i query from a table.
for e.g. if my regional setting is UK and the default date is 9/7/2006, the date picker will display date at 7 september 2006 instead.
please help.... thanks!
Another Date Picker Question
May 29, 2007I created a report with two parameters, StartDate and EndDate.
They are specified as datetime type.
When I went to the Preview tab, there were date pickers for both values.
After a week or so of using the report, I thought it would be better if I gave the parameters default values. I spent some time reading what others had done in this forum and used the following as the expressions for the parameters:

Date Picker Parameter With MDX...
May 8, 2007I am sure others have ran into this issue.
But I need to have date parameters using the datetime type and I need to be able to pass the correct value to the MDX.
Date Picker In US Format After SP2
Apr 11, 2007Updated SQL 2005 to SP2 and Reporting Services Date Picker now has dates defaulting to US format (MM/DD/YYYY) instead of our previous English-Australian (DD/MM/YYYY). Both the clients and server are set to English Australian regional settings in the O/S and the reports are composed for English Australian language. Reports have correct format in Visual Studio development and re-deploying them had no effect. Everything was fine under SP1 - not sure what is going on. Any ideas???

Date Picker Formatting
Feb 27, 2007Im sure we have all seen this error before:
"The value for the report parameter XXX is not valid for its type"
I have a report (RS 2005) that has 2 date parameters, "start" and "end".
My SQL in not very complicated at all, I have a simple WHERE date between @start and @end
But when I go to view the report in VS2005, I get the above error.
I am yet to find a decent fix for this, what is going on? the date I am trying is:
"26/02/2007" now, obviously its trying to us the en-US formatting, but im in Australia, so I want en-AU.
I have changed my report Language setting to be en-AU, my local settings in Region Setting is English (Australia). (BTW, I had to change the Language setting in my report through the XML, is there a better way to do this?)
How do I fix this?? I have searched an searched but no-one seems to be able to give a clear answer as to what is going on....
