how do I copy a folder from an FTP location using the FTP task in SSIS. Currently, I can only move the files in the folder one after the other but I want to copy the folder at once.

I'm using the FTP Task in SSIS to send files. They task succeeds but the files get uploaded to the wrong folder. Instead of being sent to the cg268301 folder they are being sent to the cg268300 despite selecting /cg268301 from the remote path field in the FTP task editor.
I've tried uploading this file to the /cg268301 file using an execute process task and it works fine. I just don't know why it won't work with the FTP task.

For debugging purposes i want to copy the whole app_data folder(.mdf & .log files) on the production server to another folder on the same machine(or sometimes to a network folder). So when i copy and try to paste this App_data folder to a new location, i get this error message
"cannot copy ASPNETDB: it is being used by another person or program. close any programs that might be using the file and try again."
After reading the above message, i close visual web developer, stop the website in IIS and stop the SQLExpress service on the server and try again but still get the same message.
So how can i make sure that all the programs accessing these database files are closed such that i'm able able to copy them to a different location.
I have 2 source folder .I have created variable for both source folder like below
User::Source1 and User::Source2
and 1 destination folder variable like below
User::Destination
Now I have to search a file from both source folder which consist of *location_*.xml string in file name.I have to use C# Script task ,achieve above scenario as I required it on very urgent basis.
I attempted to use Move Directory to move the contents of one directory to another. Â I encountered the 'different volume' issue that others have experienced. Â While this error is frustrating I can work past this particular issue. My more pressing question is why is the move directory command overwriting a destination directory? Â

When I setup the Move directory file task I provided two vars to hold src and dest location:
dest var:Â estserveroutput
src var: devserverdev estfiles
Set overwrite destination = TRUE
Why would Move Directory overwrite output folder at destination? Â Shouldn't it only overwrite if the testfiles directory exists at destination? Â This is very frustrating since I cannot find enough information in the official documentation to understand what is happening here. Â
Is it just me or does the documentation for Move directory seem.....incomplete?
I have an ssis package that moves data from a new csv file in a share location to sql server database table. However I need to get this agent job triggered whenever a new csv file gets added to the shared location.
What is a best strategy to do this keeping in mind that while package is running and two new csv files come in and package shd copy data from both the files.

Without it, I got error Executed as user: NT ServiceSQLAgent$RETAIL_PRO.and this user does not exists on remote server. so got access denied. error.Â

In trying to use a €œTransfer SQL Server Objects Task€? in a container using a transaction on the container. The task is set to support the transaction. It is setup to copy table data from several tables from a non-domain server (sql server 2000) to a domain-based server (sql server 2005). I get an error stating, €œThis task can not participate in a transaction€?.
I am wondering if it means exactly what it says €“ this task in SSIS can€™t participate at all. Or does it mean that it won€™t in this scenario for some reason. I attempted a simple copy of data from mssql 2005 to mssql 2005 (same server) and the task still failed). MSDTC appears to be running properly on my machine and such (I can do a simple distributed transaction across linked server to the 2000 server in Query Analyzer (QA)). Also, MSDTC appears to be working on both servers with distributed transaction query tests in QA.

I am currently moving everything from SQL Server 2005 SP2 to SQL Server 2012. I have a method for getting users, logins, roles and SQL jobs. But I also have to get copy all of the SSIS packages from 2005 to 2012. I know I can go to the 2012 SQL Server and click on the MSDN folder and choose import. However, this only enables me to import one package at a time. I have 95 packages. Is there a way to get them all from the 2005 SQL Server to the 2012 SQL Server in one shot? I am not a SQL developer nor am I a DBA but I have been assigned this task.

I can set almost all properties of FTP task and FTP connection manager using expressions option. In that option, I don't see that I can set FTP PASSWORD using a variable. How do I set the password dynamically?

Hence I am not able to connect to the server through the FTP task connection manager. I am searching for a solution for Calling or consume a web service in SSIS through Script task. I have gone through so many links but i am able to find the exact solution. I am getting so many references, though i am unable to crack it.
My requirement is i need to call a web service URL through script task which is having a client certificate. When we are trying to connect to the URL it will ask for the certificate authentication. After calling this URL we will get a WSDL file from the web service, We need to consume that WSDL file and we need to identify the methods inside this WSDL and need to write the data available in this WSDL to the data base tables.
How can we call that web service URL( With certificate) through script task and how can we read the WSDL file and How we can load the data into DB table.
I am trying to do robocopy of files from one server to another using SSIS package in order to automate and schedule the task.
So, int the Execute Process task editor I put the following

I have an Execute SQL Task that saves the results in a variable such as, RecCounts.
I have a Send Mail Task with a message source of: [User::RecCounts]
However, when I run the package I get this error.
Error: Failed to lock variable "[User::RecCounts]" for read access with error 0xC0010001 "The variable cannot be found.
This occurs when an attempt is made to retrieve a variable from the Variables collection on a container during execution of the package, and the variable is not there. The variable name may have changed or the variable is not being created.".
I have tried to incorporate 638 lines sql code inside the Execute SQL Task editor. But it is truncating the codes inside the Execute SQL Task (SQL command) in SSIS.write all 639 lines of codes in the Execute SQL Task Editor in SSIS.

I'm writing my first SSIS custom task. I have added Public properties, which appear in the standard task properties window, and to one of them I have added an EditorAttribute as follows:

When I select the FilesToArchive property in the Properties window, I get an ellipsis that appears in the property value. When I click on the ellipsis, it brings up the FolderBrowserDialog, which is defined in the UIFileNameEditor class. This all works fine.
What I want to do is to bring up the EditorUI, the one you get when you double click on the task, and also populate that with properties which can be edited. I have a class which inherits DTSBaseTaskUI, which is displayed when I double click on the task.
I can also get properties to be displayed in that UI but I cannot get them to be editable in that UI, using the same technique as in the standard Properties window, as described above.
