I have a SSIS package where im importing data from MS access database file .MDB. I chose Microsoft JET 4.0 OLEDB provider. When i select a table and preview the data, im getting the below error.
Error at Data Flow Task [OLE DB Source [1]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E09.
Error at Data Flow Task [OLE DB Source [1]]: Opening a rowset for "_tblDateDateEarnedMismatch" failed. Check that the object exists in the database.
But it is working for the other tables .

i got a error [OLE DB Destination [16]] Error: Failed to open a fastload rowset for "[dbo].[tempMaster]". Check that the object exists in the database.
i am creating and doping this table in beginning after insert/update i will drop this table but this is error.i am using sql server 2008R2

I have 2 Excel sheets ( Sheet1 and Summary) in an excel output file.
Sheet1 is created and loaded with data fine.
Summary sheet is getting the following error:
Error: 0xC0202009 at Write Counts and Percentages to Summary Sheet, Excel Destination [337]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37.
Error: 0xC02020E8 at Write Counts and Percentages to Summary Sheet, Excel Destination [337]: Opening a rowset for "Summary" failed. Check that the object exists in the database.
I do have an execute SQL task to create the summary sheet before the data flow task.
The execute SQL task has
CREATE TABLE `Summary` (
`Counts_and_Percentages` LongText
)
Please advise on what I can do to troubleshoot/correct the error. Thanks

I wanted to create a package to copy the objects from one database to another and replace those object if they already exist. Therefore, before the package executes you do not know whether all the objects exist on the target server or only some of them.
Using the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' I have found that I cannot get this to execute cleanly by itself. If I set the 'DropObjectsFirst' to false then an error is thrown if the object exists and if I set it to true then an error is thrown if it does not exist.
In order to get round this I have had to create an 'Execute SQL Task' to list all the objects and then go through them dropping them on the target server in a for each loop before executing the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' with 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task' set to false.
However, is there a better way of achieving this or am I missing something in the 'Transfer SQL Server Objects Task'?

Just installed VS 2005 & SQLServer 2005 clients on my workstation. When trying to create a new Integration Services Project and start work in the designer receive the MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' dialog box with message "Creating project 'Integration Services project1'...project creation failed."
Previously I had SQLServer 2000 client with the little VS tool that came with it installed. Uninstalled these prior to installing the 2005 tools (VS and SQLServer).
I'm not finding any information on corrective action for this error.
Any one have this problem and found the solution?

Hi,
I am trying to call a stored procedure to insert into my database. After I called Open(), it crashed on ExecuteNonQuery(). I get the following message.
Object must implement IConvertible.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.InvalidCastException: Object must implement IConvertible.

What does this mean? If anyone encountered this error before, please let me know how to trace the error and fix it.

I'm wondering is there a command that I can use to check if a certain value exists in the database? Something that returns true or false perhaps?
SELECT * FROM Customers WHERE ID ='1'
Ok so that's simple, but how can I return a true or false if '1' is a value that exists in the db?

I was able to get this code to work but now I get a SQL error if you try to submit the same information twice. hi. i'm building a news section for some friends of mine. i list all the news items on the main page in a gridview. i've made a custom edit linkbutton that sends the user to an edit page, passing the news id as a quarystring variable. on the edit page i first check if the querystring variable contains an id at all. if not, i redirect the user to the main page. if an id is passed with the querystring, i fetch the matching news item from the database and place it in a formview control for editing.so far, so good. but what if someone types a random id in the querystring? then the formview won't show up and i'd look like a fool. :) therefore, i need some kind of check to see if the id exists in the database. if not redirect the user back to the main page... so i started thinking: i could check the databsae in a page_load procedure. if all is well, then display the news item. since the formview is automatically filled with the correct data, does that mean that i call the database two times? i mean, one for checking if the news item exists, and one for filling the formview. logically, this would be a waste of resources.help is appreciated.

Hi,
I am administering several SQL Servers running SQL Server 2005 SP2 Build 3042.
I have a common maintenance plan that runs on each of the servers. The maintenance plan runs
fine on all the servers except for one. On the one server the Database Integrity check fails with the following error:
Check Database integrity on Local server connection
Databases: <list of databases>
Include indexes
Task start: 2008-02-21T00:05:42.
Task end: 2008-02-21T00:05:46.
Failed0) Alter failed for Server €˜XYZ€™
I created a test maintenance plan to just do the integrity check and selected one database only and this also failed with the same error message. I ran this test maintenance plan and configured it for each of the databases in question and it failed each time.
If I run the DBCC manually against the databases they all report fine.
I read some of the post that talked about the €œAllow Updates€? being set incorrectly but that does not apply to my problem since my configured and run values are set to 0.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Trying to move data in Sybase IQ from one database (prod) to qa for a table. Using ADO.NET connection and just one Data Flow task , source , destination. Using Sybase IQÂ driver.
Error:[ADO NET Destination [2]] Error: An exception has occurred during data insertion, the message returned from the provider is: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Decimal' to type 'System.Char[]'.
Nether source or target table have column with data type Decimal or Char. All types I have in table are numeric (54,15) , bigint, varchar, date. Â

I have VS 2013 installed in my machine with SQL server 2012 ,I have installed Microsoft data tools for VS 2013,In the integration service project  i used script component when i try to pen the script task its not opening VSTA projects ,its simple ideally without any action.I am facing this issue for past 2 months i tried fixing this problem but no use.
The script  task editor has "Access VSTA to write script using VS 2012".So i installed VSTA tools for 2012 and 2013 but no issue.
But the script component works for VS 2010.I have installed Microsoft Visual Studio tools for VS 2012,VS2012 AND VS 2013.
This issue is occurring for VS 2012 and VS 2013.

Hi.
In OLEDB Destination, AccessMode as OpenRowset Using FastLoad raises the following error:
"Failed to open a fastload rowset db_object. Check that the object exists in the database"
db_object exists in the database. Is there any key point for the table or view used for fastload?

When i use single object variable to pass it to two sequence container having 2 different  Foreach ADO Enumerator; seems like the scope of the variable is completed once sequence container 1 is done and second fails with below error

Does we have to set any property so that object variable scope persist until both loops are completed.
It works fine if i push the data to 2 different object variables.

I built a small package two years ago that uses Flat File Sources to copy in small text data files. Â Each source connection object has a UNC path to flat text files on another server. Â The source system changed, so I opened the package and updated the UNC path in one Connection Manager object, and clicked OK. The Flat File Source Editor that uses this source seemed to be able to see the new location when I clicked "Preview". Â Then I went back to the file source, and the connection had reverted back to the original one. Â it would not save the new UNC path. Â
I am using SQL Server 2012 SP2 with SSDT (run as admin). Â I closed the package in SSDT, edited the connection strings using XMLnotepad, and was then able to open, test, build and deploy the package.
It seems that the Source object will not let itself be changed. Â The other option is to delete it and recreate it, but I didn't want to remap the fields.

I have an SSIS package in VS 2010 that uses flat files to load database tables. I would like to check for the flat files existing before continuing to run the package. The flat files each have their own connection manager. I was wondering if I could use the connection managers to determine the file names instead of creating a Script Task and hard-coding each of the file names to check.

I've got this issue with a query in SSIS. From a table in SQL Server I'm getting over 25000 different identifiers. These identifier are associated to many values in a table in  one Oracle Database. This is the schema that I have implemented for doing this.
The problem is that some days the identifiers can be over 45000, and at this point perform a loop for every one is not the best solution (It can take to much time to get the result). Previously I have performed another query where from the SQL statement.
I am creating and sending a unique row with all the values concatenated and then I have recover this unique string from an object and use it to create the query in the ODBC Source that invoke the table in Oracle: something like this:
'Select * from Oracle_table' + @string_values
with @string_values = 'where value in (........)'. It works good because the number of values is small enough to be used, like 250. But in this case I can not use this approach because the number is really big and obviously the DBA of Oracle is going to cancel the query.
So I wonder, how can I iterate over the object getting only a few number of values everytime, something like 300 or maximum 500, to avoid the cancellation of the query but at the same time doing the minimum number of loops.

I am developing a table driven ETL system, where I store large PL/SQL queries in a varchar(max) field.  I read the field into an object variable at the package level using a SQL task.  Next I have a C# script task that creates a connection to our Oracle database using the Oracle provider.  I am trying to set the Command.Text property to the PL/SQL statement I've stored in the package level object variable, but I'm having difficulty getting the Pl/SQL text back out of the object.
I've tried Object.value.tostring, but it just returns a generic "system__text". how I can proceed?

Using SSIS 2012 (within Visual Studio) on Windows 7.
Before allowing my Data Flow task to fire, I'd like to check the target table (OLE DB Destination) for a specific date value in a specific field. I've seen how the Lookup Task is commonly used to check for dupes before inserting, but I'm not able to use that method because the data value I want to search the table for is contained in a Global Variable (let's say "MyVariableDate").Â
Is there any way to check for any records in a target table where Date1 = MyVariableDate (i.e. scanning the entire table for any occurrence of MyVariableDate in the Date1 field)?

The attached image below shows the steps and its set up to fail if not successful.However there was a metadata validation issue in step one (underlying database field had changed), yet the job kept emailing stating it was successful.It appears to have just carried on with the other steps despite step one failing.

I have huge data and i am loading data from EXCEL to database table, after loading 80 percent data i am getting some error. My package got failed and it has lots of transformation and took around 6 hours to process completely because of that i don't want it to reload from start. if i run it again it should start from next record from where i got the error.
