Hello, I am very, very new to the world of SSIS and from a totally different platform (iSeries), learning, digging and finding golden nuggets as I go. If this is not the forum to which I should be addressing my dilemma, please let me know as to whom or where I should direct it to. I have presented this question at two other forums, and I find it difficult to believe that no one is able to help me.
My two questions are as follows:
Question One:
I am presently encountering the following exception.
SSIS package "DW.CUST_CNCL_ORD.dtsx" starting.
Error: 0xC00291E2 at BP Parter Exec SQL, Execute SQL Task: There is an invalid number of result bindings returned for the ResultSetType: "ResultSetType_Rowset".
Task failed: BP Parter Exec SQL
Warning: 0x80019002 at DW CUST_CNCL_ORD: The Execution method succeeded, but the number of errors raised (1) reached the maximum allowed (1); resulting in failure. This occurs when the number of errors reaches the number specified in MaximumErrorCount. Change the MaximumErrorCount or fix the errors.
SSIS package "DW.CUST_CNCL_ORD.dtsx" finished: Failure.
Try as I do to find information regarding this exception, I am not able to. Can anyone share their wisdom on this topic?
Question two:
Is there a book that you may recommend that will contribute to my learning this new platform and evironment? I presently have the SQL Server 2005 integration services book.
Sample code follows:
SELECT BUS_YY_ID AS RBUS_YY_ID, BUS_PRD_ID AS RBUS_PRD_ID, BUS_PRD_STRT_DT AS RBUS_PRD_STRT_DT,
BUS_PRD_END_DT AS RBUS_PRD_END_DT
FROM BP.BUS_PRD_DT
WHERE (BUS_YY_ID = ?)
The first parameter is defined as parameter 0 - Direction is Input
Subsequent parameters are defined as follows:
Variable Name Direction Parameter Name Current_Year Input 0
RBUS_YY_ID Output 1
RBUS_PRD_ID Output 2
RBUS_PRD_STRT_DT Output 3
RBUS_PRD_END_DT Output 4
Result is defined as follows:
Result Name Variable Name
1 RBUS_YY_ID
2 RBUS_PRD_ID
3 RBUS_PRD_STRT_DT
4 RBUS_PRD_END_DT
Thank you in advance for any information you may provide.
I am trying to set up an Execute SQL Task that will feed into a foreach loop for processing of data. I am using an ADO.NET Connection with Direct input with full result set. I have tried using "select * from <table>" and also "select <column1>, <column2> from <table>". I have user variables set in the package and have the table cfolumn names listed in result name and the appropriate package variable in variable name on the Result Set tab. There is a total of 53 columns per row and the number of rows that should be returned can be anywhere from none to several hundred. Upon trying to run the package, I am receiving Error: 0xC00291E2 at Execute SQL Task, Execute SQL Task: There is an invalid number of result bindings returned for the ResultSetType: "ResultSetType_Rowset".
We tried to restore an empty database from a backup and got: 'Load database encountered an invalid logical page number' error. This then set the database as 'loading'
Anyone got any ideas?
We aren't exactly sure how big the first database was when the backup was done but if the new database isn't big enough to contain the backed up data, wouldn't we get a more meaningful error?
My site have a complicated search, the search give the results in two stages- the first one giving the number of results in each section:
"In the forums there is X results for the word X In the articles there is X results...."
And when the user click one of those lines, the list shows the specific results in that section.
My problem is that I don't know how to calculate the first part, for now I use dataset, and table.rows.count to show the number of results in each section. Since my site have more then ten, it looks like a great waste to fill such large dataset (in some words it can be thousands of rows in each section) only for getting the number of rows…
Are there is a sql procedure or key word that will give me only the number of results (the number of times that specific word showing in the columns?)
This seems a bug to me. Or does anyone has a logical explanation that escapes me?
When in SSIS Designer Version 9.00.1399.00 I add output columns (numeric 4,0 ) to a scriptcomponent and fill them with valid numeric data in thescript I get a database error 'invalid number' when I use these columns in an OLE db Command-transformation . This errormessage disappears when I replaces those columns by a dataconversion to the datatype they originally have.
I try to import data with bulk insert. Here is my table:
CREATE TABLE [data].[example]( col1 [varchar](10) NOT NULL, col2 [datetime] NOT NULL, col3 [date] NOT NULL, col4 [varchar](6) NOT NULL, col5 [varchar](3) NOT NULL,
The first column should store double (in col2 and col3) in my table
My file: Col1,Col2,Col3,Col4,Col5,Col6,Col7 2015-04-30@|@MDDS@|@ADP@|@EUR@|@185.630624@|@2015-04-30@|@MDDS 2015-04-30@|@MDDS@|@AED@|@EUR@|@4.107276@|@2015-04-30@|@MDDS
My command: bulk insert data.example from 'R:epoolexample.csv' WITH(FORMATFILE = 'R:cfgexample.fmt' , FIRSTROW = 2)
Get error: Msg 4823, Level 16, State 1, Line 2 Cannot bulk load. Invalid column number in the format file "R:cfgexample.fmt".
I changed some things as: used ";" and "," as column delimiter changed file type from UNIX to DOS and adjusted the format file with " " for row delimiter
Removed this line from format file 1 SQLCHAR 0 10 "@|@" 2 Col2 "" Nothing works ....
First, I have that code whenever i disregard the "having ranges<=3" it selects record but when I include it it returns error. The problem is I want to just select records with ranges less than 3 miles..how do I do that.. and I want to count the number of selected rows and store it on a column on the same table.
In SQL sERVER 2008, I have two fields - Depatment and Employees. I need to sort the result set by employee number ascending order, with following exception
1)when department number = 50 - the preferred order is Employee # - 573 followed by 551-572 (employee # belong to Dept 50 = 551-573)
2)When Department number = 20 – the preferred sort order is Employee # 213-220, followed by Employee # 201-213 (employee # belong to Dept 20 = 201-220)
I need to send the result of a procedure to an update statement.Basically updating the column of one table with the result of aquery in a stored procedure. It only returns one value, if it didnt Icould see why it would not work, but it only returns a count.Lets say I have a sproc like so:create proc sp_countclients@datecreated datetimeasset nocount onselect count(clientid) as countfrom clientstablewhere datecreated > @datecreatedThen, I want to update another table with that value:Declare @dc datetimeset @dc = '2003-09-30'update anothertableset ClientCount = (exec sp_countclients @dc) -- this line errorswhere id_ = @@identityOR, I could try this, but still gives me error:declare @c intset @c = exec sp_countclients @dcWhat should I do?Thanks in advance!Greg
I have an Execute SQL Task that executes "select count(*) as Row_Count from xyztable" from an Oracle Server. I'm trying to assign the result to a variable. However when I try to execute I get an error: [Execute SQL Task] Error: An error occurred while assigning a value to variable "RowCount": "Unsupported data type on result set binding Row_Count.".
Which data type should I use for the variable, RowCount? I've tried Int16, Int32, Int64.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- I executed it in my SQL Server Management Studio Express and I got: Commands completed successfully. I do not know where the result is and how to get the result viewed. Please help and advise.
HI, I ran a select * from customers where state ='va', this is the result...
(29 row(s) affected) The following file has been saved successfully: C:outputcustomers.rpt 10826 bytes
I choose Query select to a file then when I tried to open the customer.rpt from the c drive I got this error message. I am not sure why this happend invalid TLV record
As the topic suggests I need the end results to show a list of shows and their dates ordered by date DESC. Tables I have are structured as follows:
SHOWS showID showTitle
SHOWACCESS showID remoteID
VIDEOS videoDate showID
SQL is as follows:
SELECT shows.showID AS showID, shows.showTitle AS showTitle, (SELECT MAX(videos.videoFilmDate) AS vidDate FROM videos WHERE videos.showID = shows.showID) FROM shows, showAccess WHERE shows.showID = showAccess.showID AND showAccess.remoteID=21 ORDER BY vidDate DESC;
I had it ordering by showTitle and it worked fine, but I need it to order by vidDate. Can anyone shed some light on where I am going wrong?
I am trying to code a WHERE xxxx IN ('aaa','bbb','ccc') requirement but it the return values for the IN keyword changes according to another column, thus the need for a CASE function.
WHERE GROUP.GROUP_ID = 2 AND DEPT.DEPT_ID = 'D' AND WORK_TYPE_ID IN ( CASE DEPT_ID WHEN 'D' THEN 'A','B','C' <---- ERROR WHEN 'F' THEN 'C','D ELSE 'A','B','C','D' END )
I kept on getting errors, like
Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 44Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'WHERE'. which leads me to assume that the CASE ... WHEN ... THEN statement does not allow mutiple values for result expression. Is there a way to get the SQL above to work or code the same logic in a different manner in just one simple SQL, and not a procedure or T-SQL script.
I'm using a subquery to return a delivery charge line as a column in the result set. I want to see this delivery charge only on the first line of the results for each contract. Code and results are below.
declare @start smalldatetime declare @end smalldatetime set @start = '2015-03-22 00:00' -- this should be a Sunday set @end = '2015-03-28 23:59' -- this should be the following Saturday
In this example, I only want to see the delivery charge of 125.00 for the first line of contract HU004377. For simplicity I have only shown the lines for 1 contract here, but there would normally be many different contracts with varying numbers of lines, and I only want to see the delivery charge once for each contract.
I have created a local user on Report Server Computer and the user has the administrative rights. When i try to connect Report Server (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/reportserver) with this user's credantials. (ReportServer directory security is set -only- to Basic Authentication. ). I get the following error.
The number of requests for "XXXServerXXXUser" has exceeded the maximum number allowed for a single user. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SQL Server Reporting Services
Then i try to login using a different user with administrative rights on the machine, i can logon successfully. The system is up for a month but this problem occured today?!? What could be the problem?!?
declare @NumberToCompareTo int set @NumberToCompareTo = 8 declare @table table ( number int ) insert into @table select 4
[Code] ....
The query selects 4 and 5 of course. Now what I'm looking for is to retrieve the number less or equal to @NumberToCompareTo, I mean the most immediate less number than the parameter. So in this case 5
in my sql, i want to change a decimal number to percent format number, just so it is convenient for users. for example there is a decimal number 0.98, i want to change it to 98%, how can i complete it?
I am currently designing a SSIS package to integrate data into a data warehouse fact table. This fact table has about 70 columns among which 17 are foreign keys for dimension tables.
To insert data in that table, I have to make several transformations and lookups. Given the fact that the lookups I have to make are a little complicated, I have about 70 tasks in my Data Flow. I know it's a lot, but I can't find a way to make it simpler. It seems I really need all these tasks.
Now, the problem is that every new action I try to make on the package takes a lot of time. At design time, everything is very slow. My processor is eavily loaded each time I change a single setting in one of the tasks, and executing the package in debug mode takes for ages. If I take a look at the size of my package file on disk, it's more than 3MB.
Hence my question : Are there any limitations in terms of number of columns or number of tasks that can be processed within a Data Flow ?
If not, then do you have any idea why it's so slow ?
I have a large table of customers. I would like to add a column that contains an integer, unique to that customer. The trick is that this file contains many duplicate customers, so I want the duplicates to all have the same number between them.the numbers dont have to be sequential or anything, just like customers having the same one.
I have a table that has a street number field. if the user types in a street number of '2' i would like to return all street numbers the begin with 2 (2,20,21, 200, 201,205,2009,...) how can this be done.
Hello people,I might sound a little bit crazy, but is there any possibility that youcan incorporate 4^15 (1,073,741,824) tables into a SQL Database?I mean, is it possible at all? There might be a question of whereanyone would want so many tables, but i'm a bioinformatics guy and I'mtrying to deal with genomic sequences and was coming up with a newalgorithm, where the only limit is the number of tables I can put intoa Database. So, can you please advise if its possible to put in so many tables intoa SQL database? Or is the Bekerley DB better?
I am testing something in Visual Basic that talks to a database and I want to filter results by -> field1 like "###". However, that 'like' and '#' is VB syntax. How do you say that in SQL?
HI, We upgraded to SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition for our ASP.NET 2.0 website. We were using SQL Server Express 2005. That worked fine. Now we are unable to connect to the database. I have googled, but I just cann't figure out what is going on. Any help is appreciated. Here is the error. An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) In our firewall sqlbrowser.exe and sqlservr.exe are allowed. Thanks Matt
