Issue With Frreezing Columns In Reporting Services 2005

I have tried to freeze the leftmost column of my report , by seetting the fixedheader proeprty to 'TRUE' For that column. The columns gets frozen. I also set the background color of that column to 'WHITE' Color. However, when I try to scroll left or right, the next columns seem to overlap to the first column...
I think I've seen a similar post on a blog or on the forums - but it seems like this should be possible -
I have an MDX query - that works fine in SQL Enterprise Manager, and has my dimension members on columns, and my measures on the rows. When I try the same query in Reporting Services, I get the error:
"The query cannot be prepared: The query must have at least one axis. The first axis of the query should not have multiple hierarchies, nor should it reference any dimension other than the Measures dimension.. Parameter name: mdx (MDXQueryGenerator)"
Although it works when you pivot the view, I really need my data presented with the members on the columns and the measures on the rows. Another forum post mentioned using the SQL 9.0 driver, but I can't see this listed anywhere (the only one I see is the .NET framework Data Provider for Microsoft Analysis Services).
Here's what my query looks like -

I am trying to migrate my reports from SQL server 2000 reporting services 32bit to 2005 64bit. I am following the migration steps that MS specified. Restored my Reportserver and ReportserverTempDB databases Then I was using the configure Report services to upgrade these databases but I always end up getting the follwoing exception when I run the upgrade on the "Database Setup" configuration for 'ReportServerTempDB' database System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'ReportServerTempDBTempDB'. It's driving me crazy, why is it looking for 'ReportServerTempDBTempDB' in the catalog instead of 'ReportServerTempDB'? Is it possible to migrate from 32bit to 64bit?
i'am working with SSRS 2008 and my source is OLAP(mdx query) i created a report like this
the report return me the following data
Nbre all Products Nbre Dell Products Nbre HP Products
Month 1 50 50 50
Month 2 100 100 100
what i need is doing filter for a specific columns for example for Nbre Dell Products show me only the number of Dell Products also for Hp Products how can i do it.
If I have some mdx I'm using in reporting services like this:
select { [TimeByMinute].[All TimeByMinute].[2005].[May].[1] : [TimeByMinute].[All TimeByMinute].[2005].[May].[6] } on columns, {A_list_of_measures } on rows from ACD_Calls
The column names are unique to the day of month- which means when I use a table to display this in reporting services, the field names change dynamically when the date parameters change which means the table stops working.
I'll post this in reporting services too but I thought maybe I could alias the column names in mdx shielding the reporting services table from changes in dates.
What do you think? Would a matrix be more flexible in this case?
I already have a row visibility on the details group which is toggled by the Sum(Case_Load) Text box.
What I would now like to do is some columns to the right where the field is part of the details group but the column is only visible when it is toggled by the Sum(Case_Load) Text box.
I keep getting the message that "Toggle items must be text boxes that share the same scope as the hidden item or are in a scope that contains the hidden item, and cannot be contained within the current report item unless current grouping scope has a Parent"
My requirement : I have Database which has got 100 tables.I need to create SSRS report which display top 10 records from the table within that database.
User will select The table name as parameter in the report. the number of column in each table will vary .
I am using the below statement in stored proc, and calling same from ssrs report

We can add static columns by right clicking detail text box and add column. But it will repeat for each column group. I need static columns in the dynamic columns level itself.

I went through all the properties for column but cannot achieve my goal. SO in my case .. the no of rows are fixed .. but columns vary .. so i want the alternate columns to be of different color (say white and silver)
I have a dataset with rows that I normally would display in a table control. I have too many columns and I would like each data row to be display on many lines. How is that possible?
i created a layout in visual studio 2005 with the proper dimensions to print on an Avery 5160 label sheet (3 labels across and 10 down)
in the Body properties, i set Columns to 3, ColumnSpacing to 0.125", and Size 2.625" (W) & 1" (H).
i created a list table with a text box of the same dimension as the Size in the Body.
the thing is when i go to preview the report in visual studio, it just shows all the data but only in one column, but if i click the Print Layout button, it shows all 3 columns, then when i print it, it works! so i assumed that this was just the way visual studio handled the data. no big deal...
the problem is when i upload this to the reporting services on our local intranet and run it from the reporting services, it shows only one column (the left most only) and prints that way too; it's almost like i need a Print Layout button on the reporting services (which there isn't one).
is there something that i need to set so that it will print in 3-column form from the reporting services so people can print on label sheets?
i hope this makes sense. also, i tested this on the same printer just to make sure it wasn't hardware.
I am trying to use SSRS to allow users to select any one or several columns from a set of cascading parameters which will then do a "data dump" of the contents of the selected columns for "export".I know how to do cascading parameters, but I am having problems coming up with a way of using the parameters to dynamically build a matrix which has as its columns the list selected in the parameters. I need the user to choose WHICH columns will be displayed. There could be 1, 2, 3, up to 50 columns.
The first six months will be displayed in each case.
But when i choose 6 months i just want to display first six months only.when i choose 12 months i want to be displayed first 12 months columns only and for 18 months all the columns,.
Can we build a report like the one shown above . Basically the columns will be on vertical columns and values of the columns will be next to it ? I know there is matirx control but it is for multiple columns .
In business objects we have separate control for this but in ssrs we have 1 table control and another matrix control. I think i need to modify matrix control to achieve it...
I have SSRS report that has around 80+ columns. I have requirement where in dynamically hideshow columns in report based on user selection. I could able to do it by setting expression for "Visiblity" property and having report parameter thro' which columns to display can be choosen.
My problem is 2 points
1. fox example if columns 2 and 4 to be hidden, then there is an empty column between 1 and 3 and 5 columns. How to avoid this
2. When i export to PDF / Excel these spaces prevail.

I need to insert a sparkline based on values in columns. I want to change the background color to yellow if the value is less than the previous month. For example for the sales row, February sales is less than January and March sales is less than February so I would want the values (800 and 750) to have a background color of yellow. The columns is grouped by month.I've tried experimenting with the Previous function but I run into the following error message: The BackgroundColor expression for the text box has a scope parameter that is not valid for an aggregate function. The scope parameter must be set to a string constant that is equal to either the name of a containing group, the name of a containing data region, or the name of a dataset.
I thought the built in expression Level() would show me be drill down level. I can't see to get that to work. I'd like to determine my drill down level so I can hide columns based on that.
I have another query regarding the graph/chart that i made in report builder. May i know on how to lessen the space between a column in my stacked bart chart.
In report builder 3.0 I have row groups. I want a total at the end of each row but I want the total to be broken down by 3 columns based on 3 possible values of a field in the dataset. The report expands as the date range entered is increased. I want the total of clinic id + service id + program id + protocol id + appointment date but I want the total column to be broken down by appts that have shown or not shown or canceled.
See screenshots below for seeing how I have it configured. Is this possible? I have tried every combination of possibilities but I keep getting the row total in each of the 3 columns comprised of the total column.

The last Total column displays the entire row count NOT separated by the show, no show, and cancel status'. I have tried filters and different expressions but keep getting the same output. Is this even possible?
Getting old favourite message 'Out of Memory' when running a horizontal clustered chart with Category: 200 items Series: 200 items per Category.URL... 'By default, the report server sets WorkingSetMaximum to the amount of available memory on the computer. This value is detected when the service starts.'
The report has been tried on 3 large servers with 30GB & 60GB memory. The report runs on a 2008 install but not a 2008R2 install. We've created a test report that simply generates a series of data 1-n for Category and 1-n for Series where n can be set by parameter - so the issue is not to do with the volume of data or the processing required by SSMS. The report runs if the data is output to a table rather than a chart - so the issue appears to be with rendering the chart.
The chart is rendered when the Category has 200 items with a Series of 150 per Category. The report fails with Category 200 items and Series 200 per Category.
I'm somewhat new to report builder and have been trying to recreate a report previously created in an Excel Pivot Table. I'm encountering an issue arranging the data the way it's arranged in Excel.
Specifically, I would like the values column to precede an additional column.

I can't figure out how to get report builder to do it the same way. Whenever I add the 'Result' data as a column it always appears on top. I'm guessing what I need to do is somehow get result set as a child of the first Static group, but I'm unsure how to do that.

Hi, I have just install SQL 2005 SP2 and trying to get Window SharePoint Services V3 integrated with SQL 2005 SP2 reporting services. In SharePoint Central Administration, I select the Reporting Services Integration page and have setup the Report Server Web Service URL and Authentication Mode. I then goto Grant database access, specify the SQL server name, get promted for a username and password that has access SQL Reportserver and get the following error "The group name could not be found" Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
I'm trying to create reports in RS2005 using AS2000 as my data source. I understand that if I use RS2005 on AS2000, I wont be able to enjoy the OLAP based parameters as in using AS2005. Does anyone know an easy way to easily use Parameters in RS2005 while still using AS2000?
