Making Date Dynamic In Pivot Table Query
Apr 16, 2008
I have a pivot table query I am running and wanted to find out if there was a way to pull in the dates like getdate() - 12 months, getdate() - 11 months, etc. instead of hard coding the dates.
Here is my query
SELECT Client, [4/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month1, [5/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month2, [6/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month3, [7/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month4,
[8/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month5, [9/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month6, [10/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month7, [11/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month8,
[12/1/2007 12:00:00 AM] AS Month9, [1/1/2008 12:00:00 AM] AS Month10, [2/1/2008 12:00:00 AM] AS Month11, [3/1/2008 12:00:00 AM] AS Month12,
[4/1/2008 12:00:00 AM] AS Month13, Engineer
FROM (SELECT Client, DollarsBilled, SlipDates, Engineer
FROM dbo.MonthlyClientBillables) p PIVOT (SUM(DollarsBilled) FOR SlipDates IN ([4/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [5/1/2007 12:00:00 AM],
[6/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [7/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [8/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [9/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [10/1/2007 12:00:00 AM], [11/1/2007 12:00:00 AM],

Hello,
I've seem some good posts similair to this, but I haven't been able to find my exact issue.
I have the following table:
ID
Name
Location

As you can see, the Location, Start and End dates can vary for each person and I don't know how many rows a single person might have.
The result I want, is a "pivot like" table.
ID
Name
Location1
Start1
End1
Location2
Start2
End2
Location3

I assume I can first do a count of the maximum rows for an individual and that is greatest number of columns I would need. But doing that and trying to figure out the rest has really stumped me.
Any thoughts, ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I have the following Pivot Table:
Code Snippet
Declare @tblEquipment Table
(
numEquipmentID INT,
txtManufacturer nvarchar(30),
txtModel nvarchar(30)
)
Declare @tblEquipmentFields Table
(
numFieldNameID INT,
txtFieldName nvarchar(25)
)
Declare @tblEquipmentDetails Table
(
numEquipmentDetailsID INT,
numEquipmentID INT,
numFieldNameID INT,
txtFieldValue nvarchar(30)
)
Insert INTO @tblEquipment Values(23, 'Dell', 'Optiplex 270')
Insert INTO @tblEquipment Values(26, 'Dell', '1705FP')
Insert INTO @tblEquipment Values(42, 'Dell', 'Optiples 745')
Insert INTO @tblEquipmentFields Values(1, 'Monitor Size')
Insert INTO @tblEquipmentFields Values(2, 'Processor Type')
Insert INTO @tblEquipmentDetails Values(1077, 23, 2, 'P4M')
Insert INTO @tblEquipmentDetails Values(1146, 26, 1, '17')
Insert INTO @tblEquipmentDetails Values(1026, 42, 2, 'P4 Dual Core')
Select numEquipmentID As EquipmentID, [Monitor Size], [Processor Type]
From
(Select a.numEquipmentID, txtManufacturer, txtModel, txtFieldName, txtFieldValue
From @tblEquipment a JOIN
@tblEquipmentDetails b ON
a.numEquipmentID = b.numEquipmentID
JOIN @tblEquipmentFields c ON
b.numFieldNameID = c.numFieldNameID
) As SourceTable
Pivot
(
Max(txtFieldValue)
For txtFieldName IN ([Monitor Size], [Processor Type])
) As PivotTable
What I'm wondering is if it's possible to have the columns change dynamically. For example:
If lets say I only want the record with numEquipmentID of 23 to show I only want its corresponding information to show
EquipmentID ProcessorType
23 P4M
Now lets say that I want to bring back an additional record, like 23 and 26 I would like the columns to change to the following
EquipmentID ProcessorType Monitor Size
23 P4M NULL
26 NULL 17
So in essence a column will be added based on the equipmentID. Thanks in advanced.

I know that this is an Excel question, but I guess it is much more likely that an SQL person using dynamic pivot tables had stepped on this, rather than any advanced Excel user.
I am exporting a dynamic pivot table to Excel through a Stored Procedure. If the Stored Procedure that executes the dynamic pivot table returns 7 columns in one run, and 4 columns in the following update, then I have 3 orphaned columns that are still displayed in the spreadsheet. There isn't any content related to them, but the empty columns with their headers are bothering enough.
I've been trying to play with the data connection properties, but nothing deletes unused columns from former data executions.

I am trying to work on a database with 3 tables. To make it easier I have created a couple of temp tables to work out the syntax.
CREATE TABLE #owner
(
[NameId] tinyint IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
[Name] varchar(50) NOT NULL
)
INSERT INTO #owner VALUES ('ME');
INSERT INTO #owner VALUES ('Other');
CREATE TABLE #propertyType
(
[TypeId] tinyint IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
[Name] varchar(50) NOT NULL
)
INSERT INTO #propertyType VALUES ('Home');
INSERT INTO #propertyType VALUES ('Car');
CREATE TABLE #property
(
[NameId] tinyint NOT NULL,
[TypeId] tinyint NOT NULL,
[Value] varchar(50) NOT NULL
)
INSERT INTO #property VALUES (1,1, 'Blue');
INSERT INTO #property VALUES (1,2, 'Black');
INSERT INTO #property VALUES (2,1, 'Red');
INSERT INTO #property VALUES (2,2, 'Black');
DROP TABLE #owner;
DROP TABLE #propertyType;
DROP TABLE #property
| NameId | Name |
| 1 | ME|
| 2 | other |
| TypeId | Name |
| 1 | Home |
| 2 | Car |
| NameId | TypeId | Value |
| 1 | 1 | Blue |
| 1 | 2 | Black |
| 2 | 1 | Red |
| 2 | 2 | Black |
Where property value is some arbitrary detail. The real propertyType has 50 or 60 rows and not every property has all of the values. I am trying to create a pivot table that would look like so that I can present the data in an easier to understand format:
[Owner | Home | Car ]
[ME | Blue | Black ]
[Other| Red | Black ]
The propertyTypes are added often, and I don't really have the ability to change them. There is a unique constrant on property on nameid and typeid so there will never be two of the same property with the same owner. Any help would be very helpful.

I am having trouble figuring out why the following code throws an error:
declare

@stmt nvarchar(max)
select @cols = ('[' + W.FKStoreID + ']') from (select distinct FKStoreID from VW_PC_T) as W
select @stmt = '
select *
[Code] ...
The issue that I am having is:

Conversion failed when converting the varchar value '[' to data type int.
I know that I have to use the [ ] in order to run the dynamic sql. I am not sure what is failing and why as the syntax seems to be clean to me (obviously it is not).

I would like to use a dynamic pivot table in my data source view. It seems that a named query can be only one sql statement. So, I cannot use my multi-statement procedure that creates a dynamic pivot table output.
What is the best course of action here? I could hard-code my pivot table query. I could maintain a redundant table in the pivot format. Do I have any good options?

I am trying to pivot table DYNAMICALLY but couldn't get the desired result .
Here is the code to create a table
create table Report
(
deck char(3),
Jib_in float,
rev int,
rev_insight int,
jib_out float,
[Code] .....
Code written so far. this pivots the column deck and jib_in into rows but thats it only TWO ROWS i.e the one i put inside aggregate function under PIVOT function and one i put inside QUOTENAME()
DECLARE @columns NVARCHAR(MAX), @sql NVARCHAR(MAX);
SET @columns = N'';
SELECT @columns += N', p.' + QUOTENAME(deck)
FROM (SELECT p.deck FROM dbo.report AS p
GROUP BY p.deck) AS x;
[Code] ....
I need all the columns to be pivoted and show on the pivoted table. I am very new at dynamic pivot. I tried so many ways to add other columns but no avail!!

I have this query:
SELECT TOP (100) PERCENT dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_franchiseid AS FranchiseId, dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_brandidname AS Brand,
dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_franchisetypename AS [Franchise Type], dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_franchisenumber AS [Franchise Number],
dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_transactiontypename AS [Transaction Type], dbo.Filteredfs_franchise.fs_franchisestatusname AS [Status Code],
[Code] ....
I need to pivot this so I can get one row per franchiseID and multiple columns for [Franchisee Name Entity] and [Franchise Name Individual]. Each [Franchisee Name Entity] and [Franchise Name Individual] has associated percentage of ownership.
This has to be dynamic, because each FranchiseID can have anywhere from 1 to 12 respective owners and those can be any combination of of Entity and Individual. Please, see the attached example for Franchise Number 129 (that one would have 6 additional columns because there are 3 Individual owners with 1 respective Percentage of ownership).
The question is how do I PIVOT and preserve the percentage of ownership?

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement as follows:->
I have a table like below
EMPLOYEEID------- OWNS
********** ****
1-----------------car
1-----------------house
1-----------------dog
2-----------------house
3-----------------car
3-----------------bus
3-----------------shop
3-----------------hotel
3-----------------theater
3-----------------casino
Requirement:
I wanted to create another table based on the column values. For eg: I have to take the employee id and check for what value he has under owns column in the table. I take only 3 values and then these values should go to the newly created columns (owns1, owns2,owns3).
if there is no value for any of these columns it should have null values loaded in them.
The result of the modification should look like this:->
EMPLOYEEID-------OWNS1------OWNS2------OWNS3
*********** ***** ***** *
1-----------------car--------house------dog
2-----------------house------Null-------Null
3-----------------car--------Bus--------shop
Note: eventhough employeeid 3 owns more than 3 things we only take 3 of what he owns and populate to above coloumns.
In addition to it, the column OWNS will have more than 500 different values in them.
Its kind of urgent and if anyone knows how to , Can you please help me on this.
Thanks a lot.

I cannot create a measure that returns results for dates that do not exist in the fact table despite the fact that the components included in the measure contain valid results for these same dates.Creature a measure that counts the number of days where the "stock qty" is below the "avg monthly sales qty for the last 12 months" (rolling measure).Here is the DAX code I have tried for the measure (note that filter explicitly refers to the date table (called Calendar) and not the fact table):
StkOutCnt:=CALCULATE (
COUNTROWS ( VALUES ( Calendar[DateKey] ) ),
FILTER (
Calendar,
[Stock qty] < [Avg Monthly Sales Qty L12M@SKU]
)
)
Below you can see the sub measures (circled in red) are giving results for all days in the calendar.Highlighted in yellow are dates for which the StkOutCnt measure is not returning a result. Having investigated these blank dates, I am pretty confident that they are dates for which there are no transactions in the fact table (weekends, public holidays etc...).why I am getting an "inner join" with my fact table dates despite the fact that this is not requested anywhere in the dax code and that the two sub measures are behaving normally?

We have some requirement in PowerBI reports. Here we have a table and having Date, Events columns. Below is the sample data..we are creating a measure to calculate the average of the event count for month.We need a measure for calculating Average of Event count per month= sum(Events for a month)/numberofdays in the month.Example for January month : sum(343423)/31 (31 number of days in January)Â
When we write this measure using DAX query in Excel we are getting semantic error.Tried sample formula : Average:=SUM([Events])/EOMONTH([EventDate],1)
writing this DAX command for measure.After having this data ready, we are creating PowerBI reports on this data.

I don't know if it's a local issue but I can't use temp table or table variable in a PP query (so not in a stored procedure).
Environment: W7 enterprise desktop 32 + Office 2012 32 + PowerPivot 2012 32
Simple example:
   declare @tTable(col1 int)
   insert into @tTable(col1) values (1)
   select * from @tTable
Works perfectly in SQL Server Management Studio and the database connection is OK to as I may generate PP table using complex (or simple) queries without difficulty.
But when trying to get this same result in a PP table I get an error, idem when replacing table variable by a temporary table.
Message: OLE DB or ODBC error. .... The current operation was cancelled because another operation the the transaction failed.

hi ,
is it possible to do a pivot , where the number of columns is dynamic...i.e
i dont know how many rows will be selected , and i want to pivot them and insert into
a new (temp/tabletype)table...obv i dont know how many columns i need....
somethin like the example of books online pasted below , consider here that i need data for
all employees (distinct empid) , then pivot it, for that i'll need 'select distinct empid
from emp' in the pivot syntax 'FOR EmployeeID IN' .
pls tell me if such thing is possible or there is a turnaround for my problem...
SELECT VendorID, [164] AS Emp1, [198] AS Emp2, [223] AS Emp3, [231] AS Emp4, [233] AS Emp5
FROM
(SELECT PurchaseOrderID, EmployeeID, VendorID
FROM Purchasing.PurchaseOrderHeader) p
PIVOT
(
COUNT (PurchaseOrderID)
FOR EmployeeID IN
( [164], [198], [223], [231], [233] )
) AS pvt
ORDER BY VendorID

declare @tablename60 varchar(50) = 'table' + SUBSTRING(CAST(DATEPART(YY,dateadd(yy, -1, getdate())) as varchar(4)),3,4) + SUBSTRING(CAST(DATEPART(MM,dateadd(mm, -1, getdate())) as varchar(2)),1,2)
But this is hard coding the YYMM, and I would like to have it pull 30,60,90 days fromthe first of the current month. I am having a bit of trouble formatting, how to accomplish this.

We are trying to do some utilization calculations that need to factor in a given number of holiday hours per month.
I have a date dimension table (dimdate). Has a row for every day of every year (2006-2015)
I have a work entry fact table (timedetail). Has a row for every work entry. Each row has a worked date, and this column has a relationship to dimdate.
Our holidays fluctuate, and we offer floating holidays that our staff get to pick. So we cannot hard code which individual dates in dimdate as holidays. So what we have done is added a column to our dimdate table called HolidayHoursPerMonth.Â
This column will list the number of holiday hours available in the given month that the individual date happens to fall within, thus there are a lot of duplicates. Below is a brief example of dimdate. In the example below, there are 0 holiday hours for the month of June, and their are 8 holiday hours for the month of July.
DateKey MonthNumber HolidayHoursPerMonth
6/29/2015 6 0
6/30/2015 6 0
7/1/2015 7 8
7/2/2015 7 8
I have a pivot table create based of the fact table. I then have various date slicers from the dimension table (i.e. year, month). If I simply drag this column into the pivot table and summarize by MAX it works when you are sliced on a single month, but breaks if anything but a single month is sliced on. Â
I am trying to create a measure that calculates the amount of holiday hours based on the what's sliced, but only using a single value for each month. For example July should just be 8, not 8 x #of days in the month.Â
Listed below is how many hours per month. So if you were to slice on an entire year, the measure should equal 64. If you sliced on Jan, Feb and March, the measure should equal 12. If you were to slice nothing, thus including all 15 years in our dimdate table, the measure should equal 640 (10 years x 64 hours per year).
MonthNumberOfYear HolidayHoursPerMonth
1 8
2 4
3 0
4 0
5 8
6 0
7 8
8 0

10 4

I have packages that must generate log errors dynamically including time of execution and the name of the task.
I make it changing the properties of the connection inserting two expressions.
1.-I alter the File Usage Type to 1 to generate this files.
2.- I alter the connection string as: @[User::myvariable] +"constant_description"+ time description+ +".txt"
The time description is :
(DT_STR,40,1252) DAY (GETDATE())+"-"+(DT_STR,40,1252) MONTH( GETDATE())+"-"+(DT_STR,40,1252) YEAR( GETDATE())+" + REPLACE( (DT_STR,10,1252) (DT_DBTIME) GETDATE(),":","_")
But it is not the problem
In those packages I have one connector for all the tasks and in execution time it creates one file for each of the tasks.
The problem is the way I insert in the filename the task name.
I have a pre-execute event handler in each task that modifies a string variable( myvariable) appending the task name. When I execute de package it works great but when I only execute a task, the program do not enter in the event and do not put the task’s name.
How can I put that name without using that handler? There is another handler can I use to do it that happens before the system generates the new file name and after pre-execute? Anyone knows another way to do this kind of things?

I pulled some examples of using a subquery pivot to build a temp table, but cannot get it to work.
IF OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#Pyr') IS NOT NULL
DROP TABLE #Pyr
GO
SELECT
vst_int_id,
[4981] AS Primary_Ins,
[4978] AS Secondary_Ins,
[code]....
The problems I am having are with the integer data being used to create temp table fields. The bracketed numbers on line 7-10 give me an invalid column name error each. In the 'FOR', I get another error "Incorrect syntax near 'FOR'. Expecting '(', or '.'.". Â The first integer in the "IN" gives me an "Incorrect syntax near '[4981]'. Expecting '(' or SELECT". Â I will post the definitions from another effort below.
CREATE TABLE #Pyr
(
vst_int_idINTEGERNOT NULL,
--ivo_int_idINTEGERNOT NULL,
--cur_pln_int_idINTEGERNULL,
--pyr_seq_noINTEGERNULL,
[code]....
SQL Server 2008 R2.

Hi all,
In MyDatabase, I have a TABLE dbo.LabData created by the following SQLQuery.sql:
USE MyDatabase
GO
CREATE TABLE dbo.LabResults
(SampleID int PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL,
SampleName varchar(25) NOT NULL,
AnalyteName varchar(25) NOT NULL,
Concentration decimal(6.2) NULL)
GO
--Inserting data into a table
INSERT dbo.LabResults (SampleID, SampleName, AnalyteName, Concentration)
VALUES (1, 'MW2', 'Acetone', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (2, 'MW2', 'Dichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (3, 'MW2', 'Trichloroethene', 20.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (4, 'MW2', 'Chloroform', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (5, 'MW2', 'Methylene Chloride', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (6, 'MW6S', 'Acetone', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (7, 'MW6S', 'Dichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (8, 'MW6S', 'Trichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (9, 'MW6S', 'Chloroform', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (10, 'MW6S', 'Methylene Chloride', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (11, 'MW7', 'Acetone', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (12, 'MW7', 'Dichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (13, 'MW7', 'Trichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (14, 'MW7', 'Chloroform', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (15, 'MW7', 'Methylene Chloride', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (16, 'TripBlank', 'Acetone', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (17, 'TripBlank', 'Dichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (18, 'TripBlank', 'Trichloroethene', 1.00)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (19, 'TripBlank', 'Chloroform', 0.76)
INSERT €¦ ) VALUES (20, 'TripBlank', 'Methylene Chloride', 0.51)
GO
A desired Pivot Table is like:
MW2 MW6S MW7 TripBlank
Acetone 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00
Dichloroethene 1.00 1.00 1.00 1.00
Trichloroethene 20.00 1.00 1.00 1.00
Chloroform 1.00 1.00 1.00 0.76
Methylene Chloride 1.00 1.00 1.00 0.51
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I write the following SQLQuery.sql code for creating a Pivot Table from the Table dbo.LabData by using the PIVOT operator:
USE MyDatabase
GO
USE TABLE dbo.LabData
GO
SELECT AnalyteName, [1] AS MW2, AS MW6S, [11] AS MW7, [16] AS TripBlank
FROM
(SELECT SampleName, AnalyteName, Concentration
FROM dbo.LabData) p
PIVOT
(
SUM (Concentration)
FOR AnalyteName IN ([1], , [11], [16])
) AS pvt
ORDER BY SampleName
GO
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I executed the above-mentioned code and I got the following error messages:
Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'TABLE'.
Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Invalid column name 'AnalyteName'.
I do not know what is wrong in the code statements of my SQLQuery.sql. Please help and advise me how to make it right and work for me.
Thanks in advance,
Scott Chang

Can I force the following measure to be visible for all rows in a pivot table?
Sales Special Visibility:=IF(
  HASONEVALUE(dimSalesCompanies[SalesCompany])
  ;IF(
    VALUES(dimSalesCompanies[SalesCompany]) = "Sales"
    ;CALCULATE([Sales];ALL(dimSalesCompanies[SalesCompany]))
    ;[Sales]
  )
  ;BLANK()
)
FYI, I also have other measures as well in the pivot table that I don't want to affect.

I am using
SSAS: version 2008
Excel: version 2013
I am connecting to SSAS cube from Excel and I have date dimension with 4 fields (I have others but I don't use it for this case). I created 4 fields in order to test all possible scenarios that I could think of:
DateKey:
  - Type: System.Integer
  - Value: yyyyMMdd
Date:
  - Type: System.DateTime
DateStr0:
  - Type: System.String
  - Value: dd/MM/yyyy (note: I am not using US culture)
  - Example: 01/11/2015 Â
DateStr1:
  - Type: System.String
  - Value: %d/%M/yyyy (note: I am not using US culture)Â
  - Example: 1/11/2015 Â
Filtering on date is working fine:
Initially, in excel, filtering on date was not working. But after changing dimensional type to time, and setting  DataType to Date, as mentioned in [URL] filter is working fine as you can see in the picture.Grouping on date is not working:
I have hierarchy in my Date dimension and I can group based on hierarchy, no problem. But user is used to pre-build grouping function of excel, and he wants to use that. Pre-build functions of Excel, Group and ungroup seems to be available as you can see in following picture:
But when user clicks 'Group', excel groups it as if it is a string, and that is the problem. User wants to group using pre-build grouping function available in Pivot table. I also find out that Power Pivot Table does not support this excel grouping functionality. And if I understood well, this pre-build grouping functionality of excel, needs to do calculation at run time, and that is not viable solution if you have millions of rows. So Power pivot table does not support pre-build grouping functionality of excel and hence we need to use dimension hierarchy to do the grouping. But I am not using Power Pivot table, I am using simple Pivot Table. So I expect grouping functionality to be working fine. Then I tried to do simple test. I created a simple data source in excel itself. And use it as source of my Pivot table. Then grouping is working fine. The only difference that I can see is (When double click the Measure value in Excel),For date values of my simple test, excel consider them as 'Date'.
For date values of my data coming from cube, excel consider them as 'General'
  2.1. But value here is same as it was in simple test.
  2.2. 'Date Filter' works just fine.
  2.3. If I just select this cell and unselect it, then excel change type to 'Date' though for that cell.Â
  2.4. I have created 4 different types of fields in my date dimension thinking that values of attribute of my dimension might be the problem, but excel consider 'General' for all of them.
  2.5 This value (that can be seen when double clicking on measure) comes from 'Name Column' of the attribute. And the DataType defined is WChar. And I thought that might be the reason of issue. And I changed it to 'Date'. But SSAS does not allow it to change to 'Date' giving error : The 'Date' data type is not allowed for the 'NameColumn' property; 'WChar' should be used.
So, I don't know, what is the puzzle piece that I am missing.
1. Date filter works, group does not work
2. Excel consider it as 'General' string.
3. SSAS does not allow to change 'NameColumn' to Date.

I have a simple pivot table (screenshot below) that has two variables on it: one for entry year and another for 6 month time intervals. I have very simple DAX functions that count rows to determine the population N (denominator), the number of records in the time intervals (numerator) and the simple percent of those two numbers.
The problem that I am having is that the function for the population N is not overriding the time interval on the pivot table when I use an ALL function to do so. I use ALL in other very simple pivot tables to do the same thing and it works fine.
The formula for all three are below, but the one that is the issue is the population N formula. Why ALL would not work, any other way to override the time period variable on the pivot table.
Population N (denominator):
=CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(analyticJudConsist),ALL(analyticJudConsist[CurrentTimeInCare1]))
Records in time interval (numerator):
=COUNTROWS(analyticJudConsist)
Percent:
=[countrows]/[denominatorCare]

How can I apply "Min" formula under a "new measure" (calculated field) within a pivot table under Power pivot 2010?Can see that neither does it allow me to apply "min" formula directly "formula box" nor could find any other option.Intent formula: "=Min(1,sum(a:b))" this isn't allowed so all I can do is "=sum(a:b)".
