Is there any nice way when saving a result set grid to CSV (right click, save to CSV) to properly delimit text fields that contain commas? As it is, text data that includes commas cannot be safely exported to CSV.
Example:
SELECT 'Hi there, friend!', 'Hi' UNION ALL
SELECT 'Bye now', 'Bye'
How can I Export Database with foreing Key and primary key.
Operation is that
SQL2005 Management Studio/Database/Tasks/Export Data
Before Version is SQL2000 we can Selected Copy Object and data between server and then Use Default Options click checked and Select Copy Index, Copy Foreing Primary key vs vs
But this options is not found in the SQL2005 Management Studio/Database/Tasks/Export Data wizard or I can't found it.
How can I export foreing Key and primary key with SQL2005 Management Studio/Database/Tasks/Export Data wizard.

I recently started using SQL Server Management Studio and I do not have the import/export option under all tasks. Is this because SSIS was not installed. Can I download and install just the DTS system?

HiI am using SQL Server Management Studio Express to make my databases but I noticed if I make my database in Visual studios and go new Item and make a new database I see it in app_data folder and server express tab and if I make it in SQL Server Management Studio Express I only see it in the server explorer. So if I have to move my files to another computer how do I move my database easly with SQL Server Management Studio Express? Since when you make it with the visual studio the file gets stored with all the other files of your project so if you move it all to another computer you prob won't run into a problem. So how do I make it that so I can do everything in SQL Server Management Studio Express(since I like working in it) then export it into a file that I can then go into my app_data folder and add it is an exist item? Perhaps I was seeing things earlier, and it's really a minor thing, but when I display query results in Management Studio, isn't there a setting that turns the background of cells containing NULL to a pale yellow color? I could've sworn it used to do this, and I've searched high and low for a preference setting, but no joy.
Does this setting exist?

I have a hierarchy of product categories and I want to string them together to show the complete path (breadcrumbs) to the item. Each category/subcat must be separated buy a comma. The catch is that not all items have the same number of cats/subcats. Here is what I am currently doing, but as you can see, this results in extra commas where the subcats are null.

Is there some way to concatenate these, separated by commas, but ignoring the NULL fields? For example, ItemNo 1 should show "Kitchen, Appliances"

I have recently installed the SQL Server Management Studio Express but I do not find Management Tools in order to create scheduled backups and shrinking of the databases. I was under the impression that this should be included in the Management Studio. I use the SQL 2005 Express for smaller customers who run the SQL on a desktop unit. I need a way to backup the data to a server machine for backup purposes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
I have a database in my "App_Data" folder of my visual studio project. I can view it fine in Visual Studio's built-in tools for managing a database attached to a solution. However i recently started playing around with the SQL Server Management Studio Express program. When i attach my database to Management Studio, and try to run my program it crashes. I think it might be a permissions error?!? When i detatch it and reattach it in visual studio it runs fine again. Any suggestions? ThanksJason

I need to create a full text index which searches the Title, Content and CategoryName fields. I figured since i needed to search the CategoryName field i would create an indexed view. I tried to execute the following query:

I tried converting the Content to a varchar(max) within my view but it still didn't like.

I have a text object on my crystal report, to which I programmatically want to assign text in CS. It all works fine, except that if I have html tags in there, the text doesn't get formatted, it just displays the html tags as text as well.
Now in thread linked above, the answer was: right click the text object, and format the text object, hit paragraph text and select text interpretation to HTML. The only problem is, that for a text object, it doesn't have the text interpretation option. It's only an option for a formula field. It says so in the tech support link posted inside the post itself!!!
So if you have any idea how I can do this, please someone help me out. I am new to crystal, and there's not much helpful info on it online. I've searched for this for hours, and no solution.
