Matrix Report; How Can I Repeat The Rows Items Values?

I know it should be possible to use a calculated field, but I can't find a way to calculate a simple percentage!
example: (The Orders Group have "Received" and "Accepted" columns and these are created Dynamically, and I want to add a calculated field (ie. "%Accepted") to the group.
Simple Formula
%Accepted = "Accepted" / "Received"
i.e.
%Accepted = 5/10 :. (50%)
Matrix Object ( creates columns dinamically)
---------------------------------
Orders "Group"
---------------------------------
Received Accepted %Accepted
10 5 ?

I just finish my first basic report using Reporting Services and now I have to design a very complicated report.
I would like to know the purpose of tow Report Items : Subreport and Matrix.
If somebody can explain me the purpose and if he/she can point me to an example, it would be great.

I am somewhat new to SRS. I am creatnig a report containing a Matrix. I did this because there are one or more columns included in the data set. I would like to add totals to both the rows and columns.
Here is data samples of the matrix:
Columns: C1, C2, C3...
Rows: R1, R2, R3, ...
There is a total making up the data section and looks like this (I will just use Valx for the value in the data section):
C1 C2 C3 ....
R1 Val1 Val2 Val3
R2 Val4 Val5 Val6
R3 Val7... ....
.
.
.
I would like to total each column and have a summary at the bottom (for the C1 this would contain Val1+Val4+Val7) and also like to have an extra column containing totals for each row (for the R1 this would contain Val1+Val2+Val3...).
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something obvious?

I'm trying to pass the values of a subreport matrix to my main report.
For example, I have a matrix subreport like this:
USA CANADA FRANCE GERMANY
Client1Sales $100 $200
Client2Sales $600 $50 $300
What I would like to do is to pass the USA Sales Amount of Client1 (e.g $100) to my main report.
Is there any way to do this?

I am using ssrs 2012 using sql server 2012. I have grouped by project name in the header now it is repeating horizontally i need to repeat it by vertically using project name  grouped by column.
I need this like below :
I'd like to create a report with the folloiwng format:
DATE1 DATE2 DATE3 DATE4 DATE5 [fixed 5 dates across the top, from today to T+5]
THING1 x x x x
THING2 x x x x
THING3 x x x x
THING4 x x x x
my raw data looks like this:
THING1, DATE1, TEXT VALUE 1

&c&c.
Now: there may be 0, 1 or several (by which I mean 2-5 max) text values to display at each intersection. If there are zero I'd like it to be blank, if there are one or several, i'd like to display them in a little list within the cell.
Is this possible?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a matrix with two row groups and one column group with about 6 items in it. I have about 2100 rows at the lowewst row group level. This report was built solely for excel export. The first row group has about 20 items and controls the visibility of the other group. When I toggle the visibility of the second row group, how can I make the the header of the first row group copy down for each row of the other row group? The first row group is the Section and the second is Mnemonic.

I have a query that gives me a result with a column value for example 4.
I now want to repeat this row 4 times with a new column that calculated from 1 - 4.
Or when column value is 3 I want to repeat row 3 times with new column name 1-3

I am struggling with the below join block in my stored procedure.
I can't seem to get the duplicate row problem to go away. It seems that SQL is treating each new instance of an email address as reason to create a new row despite the UNIONs.
I understand that if I am using UNION, using DISTINCT is redundant and will not solve the duplicate row problem.
Primary Keys: none of the email address columns are primary keys. Each table has an incrementing ID column that serves
as the primary key.
I am guessing I am encountering this problem because of how
I have structured my Join statements? Is it possible to offer advice without a deeper understanding of my data model or
do you need more information?

I have an SSRS report I'm working on. Â I have Row Groups plus details.
A) Â How can I get the row group headers to repeat on every line?
B) I would still like to use the drill down, click the plus sign, and have that work when I export to excel.
Here is the report header: URL....My first thought was is there a way simply to cause the header to repeat. Â I cannot find that anywhere to do that.My second though was to split the cells and copy the fields to all the rows.Here is the same header with split cells:URL....two problems.
A) I cannot split one cell; See the "X" in the second capture.
B) How do I still hid the rows until I drill down.

how I could solve my Problem, that in row number 2 the LA3 isn't shown?
I am trying to produce a matrix (crosstab) report in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services Report Designer, where the column headers contain a binary data type storing a png image.
By just simply using the report wizard and assigning the binary (image) data value to the column headers, and then previewing the report, I get following error:
An error occurred during local report processing.An error has occurred during report processing.The Group expression used in grouping 'matrix1_COMPETITOR_EMBLEM' returned a data type that is not valid.
Is there any way to include binary data types, or images per se from the database into a matrix or even table item in a report ?

I have my first SSIS package almost working, but I'm having an odd problem and can't find any information to help resolve it.
I'm importing from a flat file (csv) to an existing table (append). I've got a Derived Column transformation in the middle to do some data cleanup. It's all working except for one little problem...
One of the transformations is 'REPLACE([Column 3],"^","; ")', output to a new column. (The input file has a field that uses carets as delimiters between an unknown number of items; I'm changing that to semicolons for easier reading.) Not all rows have data in this column, some will have one item, some will have multiple items.
The REPLACE works except that it fills in repeated data for all the blank rows.
Example:
Incoming data is:
1 Smith,Jane^Jones,Jane
2 Brown,John
3
4 Adams,James^Adams,Jim
5
6 White,Debra
Data inserted into the table is:
1 Smith,Jane; Jones,Jane
2 Brown,John

I've tried to use a Conditional to skip the empty rows, but I can't get that working at all (get syntax errors no matter what I put in).
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be most appreciated!

When I run a report for a purchase order, the report duplicates records for product codes.For example the purchase order is: P000976, the report display the product code twice when it should only appear once. 45-5540 appears twice.

When I put the report's SQL in SQL server and run the sql by seeing where the code cause the additional product code it is this line within the SQL:

Lats say my data is this:
I hava a list of months and in every month I have a number of pepole and there age.
How can I show this in a matrix?
It need to be in a matrix since I need the columns to expand acording to the month but I don't know how to create two diffrent rows in my matrix.
The data should look like this:

I've never attempted to use the "Repeat Report Item with Data Region on Every Page " feature before. I'm trying to use it on text boxes with the data region being a matrix. I have a report that is two pages, and the text boxes are only appearing on the first page. Also, the matrix is appearing with zero space between it and the header. Any ideas?

I am using reportitem to show the data in the header from a table cell.i see the values just on the first page, from second page onwards reportitems not showing the values at all.
I am getting the reportitems values from a tables header cell and also made the tables header cell's property checked repeat header in all pages.
Header is appearing but the values in reportitems are not populating from page 2 onwards.
i tried / used everything including inserting group header still i don't get it towork.

Let's say I have an rdlc report for customers, and it has three sections with subreports:
CUSTOMER_INFO (name, phone, e-mail)
ITEMS
OBSERVATIONS
As the page only has 21cm and the report grows horizontally, I need to repeat the WHOLE report with all of its sections after every 4 customers. So if I have 5 customers, there would be three pages(let's say every subreport takes 1 page) for the first four customers, and then another three pages(with every section once again) just for one customer.
Is it possible? It doesn't seem somehing out of the ordinary, but I can't figure how to make it work. Everytime there is more than 4 customers, the report breaks its layout trying to accommodate the records in a new table below the tables of each subreport.
The expected result would be to bring all of exceeding data to new pages.
I have developed a custom report item that works fine in design and preview mode while in Visual Studio. I cannot get it to show up on my deployed reports. Here's what I have done so far:
1. Deployed the report using Visual Studio
2. updated the rsreportserver.config file with the following entry:

4. The dll and its dependencies are copied to the bin directory of the report server.
5. When I load a report with this custom report item on it, the report loads fine with no errors or warnings in the log file (even with verbose tracing). The area where the custom item should be is just white. It's almost like Reporting Services isn't registering the item correctly.
This is particularly frustrating because the report works fine in Visual Studio - apparently I configured that correctly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped.

Suppose a table contains fields such as member_id,item1,item2 and item3.Then how can we fetch common items between two rows.
eg:- mem_id item1 item2 item3

Then I
would add some ratios, that is, Units Sold/Months (sold per month) and other that
is the average for Product Family (Units Sold/Number of Product Family), for putting an example€¦ some
columns should be precalculated prior to the report so do not get into it, the
real problem I don€™t see how to solve is adding one or two columns for showing
these calculated column that doesn€™t depend on the column groups but they do
for the rows groups€¦
Any guidance
on that?

way I am seeing by now is to set it as two different reports, and that is not
what my client wants€¦

Hi All,
I am having a main report having two subreports, say M1,S1 and S2 respectively.
The issue is S2 normally tend to go beyond one page, for all pages except first page of the of the subreport I am getting the page header and footer blank,
Actually this is not loading the ReportItems that are used in main report but it shows text boxes containing strings for eg . "My Name" and date functions eg Today()
Any Solution?

I am using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services and have successfully created and deployed a Custom Report Item to use instead of the standard Chart Control.
This new Item works fine in both Report Designer (Visual Studio) and when generating Reports on the Report Server
However, I have a requirement that the same chart style must be available in Report Builder. Unfortunately, when using Report Builder to create a new report I can only select Tabular, Matrix or Chart style, and the chart option uses the standard style which is not suitable.
I cannot see any obvious way of including a Custom Report Item within Report Builder, so I have 2 questions :
Can I use a Custom Report Item in Report Builder? None of the samples or tutorials that I have found give any indication of whether this is possible.

Hi,
I'm totally new to SSRS2005 and I was wondering if I could extend the existing report items. For instance, I'd like to add a few extra properties to the textbox report item. I tried wrting a custom Textbox control that inherits from System.Windows.Forms.Textbox. When I imported the dll in VS, the new textbox showed up in the toolbox, but it was grayed out.
Any idea what I'm missing here?
