my goal is to show reports in sharepoint services 3.0 and use this update Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint
i have this problem:
After update my sql server 2005 to sp2 ctp with SQLServer2005SP2-KB921896-x86-ENU.exe and upate reporting services, try to:http://<localserver>:1010/reportserver show the message.
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError)
Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.UserUtil.CleanCurrentUserName()'.
i this problem is in the Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.dll i see the method and in version (9.0.3027.0) dont have, and have in 9.0.1399, what i can do to this work rigth
Just try Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.dll 9.0.3033.0 still dont working...........

After reinstalling several times the MSSQL 2005 express, and the SP1 when I'm trying to create a project with the BIDS I've got an error: Could not load file or assembly Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer Version=9.0.242.0 .. or one of its dependencies. System cannot find the file.
The report comes up, we enter the selection criteria and it fails with:

My reporting server 2005 frequently throws error below. The PC hosting reporting server has .net framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed, and it does not have SQL server installed. The 2 databases used by reporting server are in another PC. Does anyone know the location of Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.UI.WebParts.dll after you install the web part? I am wondering if I can inherit from this web part to wrap some other functionality into it. I know that i see it in the GAC buyt can't seem to find it so I can look at the assembly using reflector.
Also, how easy is it to pass in parameters to the Report Viewer?
Below is code that I have aquired from both the SQL6.5 Books online and a VB5 book. The problem is that when I run this code it returns back the error Method or data member not found. OK I have been to Projects References and made sure that both the Microsoft RemoteData object 2.0 and Remotedata control 2.0 where both included in my project.
The Remotedata control works great, however it does not allow me to Add data and Remove Data.
Am I missing a Reference file? Do I have the correct version of Remotedata objects?

I was wondering if Microsoft SQL Server support any partitioning method (like range, list, hash or composite partitioning in Oracle) or you have to partition all tables manually?
We are getting this error when we try and log on to a Reporting Services connection Via SQL Server Management Studio on a client Machine. It works fine if we are on the Server.
We can logon to the Database Engine just fine (from the Client) and the Web version of the Report manager Works fine too.
Any help would be appreciated!!!1

W've gotten a little farther. We have determined that The users who are in the "BuiltinAdministrators" Group can Connect to the Report Server from a client machine but the users that we are trying to fix are not in that Group, But they are in a Group that we added to the SQL Security. We have that group setup like the Admin group, but we still can't get them to Connect
i need some help here. 1)i get this message when i tyr to connect to reporting Service in the SQL 2005 Management Studio 2) it seems like the permissions i set in the webiste http://sqlserver/reports (Report Manager) are not active...regular domain user to which i granted browser permissions to specific folder can brwose everything. 3) im not quite sure here, im not having a service labeled like Report& | $ Service . Some people say it must be in there...u know with the ampersand in the name of the service...im confused

Hi!I got a column, with different dates in it (Ddata type "nvarchar")...when running a SELECT on this column, I'm trying to filter thoserecordsets out, WHERE this column is NULL (I checked the table, thereare "empty" fields in the column):"SELECT bla FROM bla WHERE myColumn NOT NULL"but I still receive those "empty" fields in my resultset ...so I tried it with:SELECT bla FROM bla WHERE myColumn <> ''again, "empty" fields in my resultset ....what's going wrong there? is there a possibility to check what kind ofvalue I got in my column!?Thanks!Peter
I use SQLDMO.Bulkcopy in an VB6 (have to) program to load data from aplain text file into a SQL Server 2000.One of the target columns is NOT NULL but it happens that I receive amissing value for that column in the source file. BulkCopy then has anODBC error raised that complains about the violated NOT NULLconstraint. The Bulkcopy error file however is empty. Is there a wayto figure out in which row of the source file the error occured ?Maybe a call to some ODBC diagnostics method to receive furtherinformation ? I'd like to avoid the obvious solution to drop theconstraint and then query the loaded data for NULL values.ThanksNils

trying to install sql server2005 on a windows 2003 server box.
getting msg below at the sql server . i looked at other posts on trying to uninstall SQL Native Access Client and norton antivirus. i could never find the snac on the add - remove programs and this server does not have a virus protection program yet.
here's the history of the installs on the server:
wanted to test a 2005 upgrade so:
1) installed sql server 2000 then sp4 then restored some databases to it - all OK
2) tried to upgrade to sql 2005 but ran into problems and left it at that.
had a disk drive crash on the d drive so lost the installs but not the operating system
when the drive was replaced, left alone for a while
then wanted to test a straight 2005 install
1) removed the broken 2005 attempt
2) removed the 2000
3) installed 2005 and got the error on the subject line:

I did something bad (I don't recall what it was) and I can no longer log into Reporting Services. I wish I could list everything I've tried but I've been at it so long I don't remember. And I've been through the ringer of error messages.

We are using MS Reporting Services to generate Xmls for corporate billing statements. I have two tables that share a common identity row. I need to build a query where data that exists in one table does not contain data in the other table. For example, table 1 has columns of Owner_ID, LastName, FirstName and table 2 has columns Auto_ID, Owner_ID, AutoMake. Both tables are joined by the Owner_ID column. I need a query that provides all owners from table 1 who do not have an entry in table 2.
Is there a difference with sql replication between sql server 2005 64bit and sql server 2005 32bit? Both are on a Windows 2003 server. One is 32 bit and the other one is 64 bit. The first time I set up sql replication (test environment), it was on a 32 bit sql server. This worked fine. The second time I wanted to set up replication (live environment), it was on a 64 bit sql server. This didn't worked fine.

After seeing this I looked up what ReadWriteDeleteMessageFile could mean. It appeared to be some NTFS acces problem. But when I checked the security settings, it all seemed to be ok.
Has anyone any idea what else to check? Or is sure that I must have done something wrong?
Hi, I just have a Dataset with my tables and thats it I have a grid view with several datas on it no problem to get the data or insert but as soon as I try to delete or update some records the local machine through the same error Unable to find nongeneric method... I've try to create an Update query into my table adapters but still not working with this one Also, try to remove the original_{0} and got the same error... Please help if anyone has a solution
I have a vb.net application using report services that has a big delay when I set the parameters with which to call the report.
I create a new reporting.reportviewer.
I set the ReportServerCredentials.NetworkCredentials, ReportServerUrl, ProcessingModem, ReportPath and everything is fine.
When I call SetParameters with a very simple parameter set, I get a delay of between 0.5 and 2.5 seconds. That delay is very noticible to the users. Below is an extract of a sql profiler trace to a database showing the start time, end time, event class and data text of the sql. I've marked the area with the delay in red.
I have no idea what is happening at that time, but Is there anything I can do to get rid of that delay?
It seems that it could be the first time the my application has had to interface with reporting services.
We're trying to use the WebServiceTask to retrieve a report from the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) web service but getting a "This version of the Web Services Description Language (wsdl) is not supported." error after selecting the Service on the inputs tab. Some additional information...
- I can get other web services to work just fine.
- the SSRS web service works fine as I can download the wsdl in the task window, and we have successfully worked around this issue by creating a proxy class in .NET code and called it through the ScriptTask to get the results we need.
- I'm pretty certain the SSRS server is the 2005 version but can't confirm this.
So the problem seems to be just that SSIS can't read the wsdl created by SSRS.
As said we've worked around the problem successfully but would prefer to use the built in functionality, which should work especially to SSRS. Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've got a package which reads a text file into a table and updates another. I set up configurations so that I could import it into the SSIS store on both my dev and live servers. Now, I'm getting this error. I tried removing the configs and am still getting it.
I've been through each step and everything looks okay. Does anyone have any idea (a) what's wrong, (b) how to localise the error or (c) get any additional information? Or do I just have to recreate the package from scratch?
