I need to update the price of one row based on another. In this case it takes the price from a sku which has a value in the "ShadowOf" field. Shadow Of is a parent sku. It takes the parent sku price, adds 2% and applies it to the child sku. It's all working well except I'm not sure how to handle it when a parent has more than one child. It updates the first & sets the rest to null.Enclosed is the sample data + query.

I am trying to update a parent table with a summation of its child records. The child records are being deleted because the transaction has become invalid because payment was made with a bad check or there was a posting error. So a rollback of sorts is required.

I tried to use a Merge statement with an ON MATCH for each TransType, but it complained that I could not have multiple update statements. OK. So I tried a MERGE with single update statement with a case and it complained that I was updating the same parent multiple times, which I was and want to! So, I tried the following update statement and it still does not work, though no error message.

I need to add a child table that will tell us who the participants counselor is, what I did was I did a Make Table query based off the primary key of the Parent table and made that the link (foreign key) for the People_tbl and the Counselor_tbl, so if the counselor changes then the user adds the record to the counselor tbl and then puts in the Effective date. The problem is that when I run a report it doesn't show the present counselor always shows the old counselor?

The query below brings up a set of data below that. All items are valued at $9.99. If a row has any information in the column "ShadowOf", I want to update that row. It should take the price from the row where the contents of shadowof appear & add 2%. To give an example 'GreenApples' is a shadow of 'BoxOfApples'. I have a large website with over 100,000 images and the location of the images are stored in a column (img_url) as below:

Because all these images are stored in the same folder it is hard to manage so we want to store each image under a directory based on the 1st letter of the image name, ie:
/images/a/aimage.jpg /images/b/bimage.jpg

They are int fields (pmid, sectorid, officeid). One of the fields in this table is based on putting together the descriptive field in the lookup table for sector (tblsector). current_year would be defaulting to datepart = year (2008)
The part that has the last two digits of the current year then the underscore and then the rfpid should be connected by an underscore to the rfpname. I am at a loss and would greatly appreciate any help.
Each row of my datagrid comes from two tables, A and B, which are (left) joined: not every row from table A has a corresponding row in table B. I think this is quite a common scenario.If I want to edit a row in my datagrid which contains data from both Table A and Table B then presumably I can just use an UPDATE statement behind the scenes.But what happens if I want to edit a particular row in the datagrid which contains data from Table A but no corresponding data from table B? I can't use an UPDATE statement because the record in Table B doesn't yet exist. So what do I do?Does anyone know the answer to this, or could you point me to a good tutorial please?

I am trying to update the SeqID and LinkSeqID with the same sequential number if the ProductID and StoreID are in the same group.
