Problem Opening UnpackDecimal And CodePageConvert Task On Different Machine.

We have installed these custom task on multiple workstations but when we develop a script on one machine and then try to open it on another developers machine it gives us error messages on all of these task. Why is it doing this?
When double clicking on it it tells me could not be created because an error was encountered during its upgrade to current version. The icons now have a i in a quote symbol on the left and the red X on the right side and will not open.
I have SQL Server 2005 installed on a Vista Home Premium edition machine. I want to open my DTS packages on this machine in order to have a look at them.
I have installed the SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer components on this machine. I have also rebooted after the installation.
However, I still get the message
"SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer components are required to edit DTS packages. Install the special Web download, "SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Components" to use this feature"
I have previously done this on an XP machine with no problems. Does anyone know if this is an issue and what the possible solution is?
I am getting the following error when I try to double click on an Execute Sql Task to open it using VS2005:

I downloaded this 7/6/07 and am trying to debug. I have a field that is PICs9(5) and has 00 00 1D as its hex value. The component returns a dt_decimal field value of 20201-
I believe it thinks the 00 are spaces and converts them to ASCII 20. Any ideas on what is wrong here? Is there another step I am missing after the conversion? Any help would be appreciated.
For some reason I'm getting the following error trying to run a package via SQL Agent. I put the dll in the "pipelinecomponents" folder and ran gacutil on it (it shows up in the "assembly" folder) but this error says the component isn't registered... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm HELP !!!!

I have VS 2013 installed in my machine with SQL server 2012 ,I have installed Microsoft data tools for VS 2013,In the integration service project i used script component when i try to pen the script task its not opening VSTA projects ,its simple ideally without any action.I am facing this issue for past 2 months i tried fixing this problem but no use.
The script task editor has "Access VSTA to write script using VS 2012".So i installed VSTA tools for 2012 and 2013 but no issue.
But the script component works for VS 2010.I have installed Microsoft Visual Studio tools for VS 2012,VS2012 AND VS 2013.

What I need is reading data from mutiple tables in one database and writing into a single table in another datable. Hi to everyone, I'm facing a problem that drives me crazy. I've a web application that has the following problem. When I test the application on my developement machine all runs fine, but when I put into production server there is a problem in connection pooling. Look at the following image, the blue line is the number of connection in the pool and the violet line is the number of connection reclaimed. From the image it is clear that connection are returned on the pool only in block, maybe when the garbage collection pass and reclaim the object. The strange thing is that on my developement machine all is good, and also I'm using Enterprise Library and the connection are managed internally.- Thanks to everyone for any help.
Hullo all I have two machines, One is a standalone machine and the other is on a domain network. How can I run a stored procedure/job on the standalone machine from the domain machine ? running the procedure as a Domain user results in a failed job/stored proc. also creating an sql login and attempting to run it as that user also fails. I was wondering if there was any white papers on the migration part from microsoft? Apparently the situation is like this Currently installed MOSS 2007 in a testing pc as application server. This application server will refer another testing database server which running SQL Server 2005.
Now, wanted to move this 2 temporary server into another 2 new servers. Correct me if I'm wrong, it cannot be done by using image like Norton Ghost due to difference hardware spec.
So, if I install another fresh copy of MOSS2007 & SQL server 2005 in that 2 new servers, how can I migrate the contents, documents, etc from the testing database server?

I have a dataflow which returns email addresses to a recordset.
I pass this recordset into a ForEachLoop configuring the enumerator as (Foreach ADO Enumerator). I also map the email address as a variable with index 0.
I then have a Execute SQL task which receives this email address as a varchar variable (parameter 0) which I then use in my SQL command to limit the rows returned. I have commented out the where clause and returned all rows regardless of email address to try to troubleshoot this problem. In either event, I then use a resultset to store the query result of type object and result name 0.
I then pass this resultset into a script variable to start parsing the sql rows returned as type object. ( I assume this is the correct way to do this from other prior posts ...).
The script appears to throw an exception at the following line. I assume it's because I'm either not passing in the values properly or the query doesn't return anything. However, I am certain the query works as it executes just fine at the command prompt.
My intent is to email the query results to each email address with the following type of data by passing the parsed data from the script to a send mail task. Email works fine and sends out messages but the content is empty. I pass the parsed data as string values to the messagesource and define the messagesourcetype as a variable in the mail task.

I’m trying to follow the article http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/031506-1.aspx. It gives a sample to download at the bottom which I did. I’m trying to take a look at the Stored Proc that were created in the PagingData.mdf. The only thing included in the App_Data folder is PagingData.mdf file. How can I open the DB or attach it to my SQL2005 server? There is no .ldf file included in the sample so the attaching is failing.
I used to use rdo in VB6 and now I'm trying to figure out how to use the SqlDataReader class in VB.NET. I want to use an ODBC data source to specify the connection info. I got a .dts package via email. But I am not able to open it in my sql server. Could some one pls help me know, how to open .dts packeges in the designer.
All I want to do is open an .mdf file. So I have downloaded and installed SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. I have searched HELP but I see nothing simple. How do I add a file to this server so that I can read the file in Access? Thank you very much for any help you can give. David Thomas
Hi, I have a client who has a current website based on an MS SQL database. I am building a new website that will be in MySQL.
I have never used MSSQL before and the only information that i have been sent by the old web designer is a .bak file (which is the latest back-up of the MS SQL info) and the user name and password for the current on-line databases.
I dont know how to open this .bak file, ideally i would like to get it into MS excel or MS access. I have downloaded SQL Server Management Studio Express and SQL Server Configuration Manager but i dont know what to do next (and am really confused!)
Can anyone advise me of the steps that i need to take to get the data out of the .bak file?
Hello Guys, One of the fields in my report is a web address (i.e. http://www.yahoo.com). Navigation property for this field is "Jump to URL". Users will access the report with a browser, using a "sharepoint-like" application. Default behavior of "Jump to URL" seems to be to open the link in the same window (or tab in IE7). Is there a way to force the link to be open in the new window?? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!!
Im using Sql server 2000. I wanted to know if its possible to open a cursor using an sp instead of an sqlstatement?
Also I know that cursors cant be opened for more than one result sets. This question is based on the assumption that the SP will return only one result set.

now my question is....the instance of conn is limited only to that function only, and not returned outside. Whereas only the SqlDataReader is returned outside. Does that have any abnormal affect on the application. Since my ASP Application is getting locked (not doing anything, nt even post back!) sometimes after a few DB operation.
Arent these connections and instances Managed (auto garabage collection)?? Can memory leaks under such a situation occur. Please help
