Question On Distinct Cluster Profile Description

Jul 11, 2007

Hi, all,

I really need some advices on distinct cluster profile description as when we do the profile clustering with clustering algorithm, some clusters can be at the same time as several profiles. E.g. when I cluster the data into different clusters, select value 1 for attribute a, then cluster 1 is the darkest cluster there which can be cluster of value 1 of attribute a. Then when I select value 2 of attribute b, again, cluster 1 is the darkest one there, then it can also be called as cluster of value 2 of attribute b. Therefore I am really confused. In this case, what are really the best way to descibe this cluster 1? Is there any way to best combine all the common chraracters of these two clusters and then define cluster 1? Or any other good ideas?

I am really looking forward to hearing from you guys who are veteran of data mining and its applications and give me some advices on this.

Thanks a lot in advance.

With best regards,

Yours sincerely,

SQL 2012 :: Find Profile Name In Stored Mail Profile That Already Exists

Jan 22, 2015

We have a previous SQL 2012 cluster that emails us when a new database is added. I am unable to figure out why we get this error any time we add a new database to it, and also it prevents us from adding a new availability group to this cluster because of this error.

I also am unable to figure out what profile it is talking about as this was setup before me and I am not a DBA.

SQL 2012 :: Running 2 Distinct AGs On Each Node Of A Two Node Cluster?

Oct 23, 2014

I'm contemplating running two availability groups on a two node WSFC. The WSFC is setup with a file share witness (i.e. no shared storage). Can I safely run 1 AG on one primary node, and the other AG on the other node (as primary). Each AG would have replicas on the passive node. This would effectively allow both servers to be in use at the same time. In a failover event, I understand that both workloads would transfer to a single server - so the box needs to be sized appropriately.

Select DISTINCT On Multiple Columns Is Not Returning Distinct Rows?

Jul 6, 2007

Hi, I have the following script segment which is failing:

CREATE TABLE #LatLong (Latitude DECIMAL, Longitude DECIMAL, PRIMARY KEY (Latitude, Longitude))

INSERT INTO #LatLong SELECT DISTINCT Latitude, Longitude FROM RGCcache

When I run it I get the following error: "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK__#LatLong__________7CE3D9D4'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.#LatLong'."

Im not sure how this is failing as when I try creating another table with 2 decimal columns and repeated values, select distinct only returns distinct pairs of values.

The failure may be related to the fact that RGCcache has about 10 million rows, but I can't see why.

Any ideas?

Trying To Add A NON-DISTINCT Field To A DISTINCT Record Set In A Query.

Mar 12, 2007

I need to run a SELECT DISTINCT query acrossmultiple fields, but I need to add another field that is NON-DISTINCTto my record set. Here is my query:SELECT DISTINCT lastname, firstname, middleinitial, address1,address2, city, state, zip, age, genderFROM gpresultsWHERE age>='18' and serviceline not in ('4TH','4E','4W')and financialclass not in ('Z','X') and age not in('1','2','3','4','5','6','7','8','9','0')and (CAST (ADMITDATE AS DATETIME) >= DATEDIFF(day, 60, GETDATE()))ORDER BY zipThis query runs perfect. No problems whatsoever. However, I need toalso include another field called "admitdate" that should be treatedas NON-DISTINCT. How do I add this in to the query?I've tried this but doesn't work:SELECT admitdateFROM (SELECT DISTINCT lastname, firstname, middleinitial, address1,address2, city, state, zip, age, gender from gpresults)WHERE age>='18' and serviceline not in ('4TH','4E','4W')and financialclass not in ('Z','X') and age not in('1','2','3','4','5','6','7','8','9','0')and (CAST (ADMITDATE AS DATETIME) >= DATEDIFF(day, 60, GETDATE()))ORDER BY zipThis has to be simple but I do not know the syntax to accomplishthis. Thanks

Setup And Upgrade :: Cluster Installation Failed On Adding Node To Cluster

Oct 10, 2015

During the installation of Adding node to a SQL Server failover cluster(On passive node) getting error like.. The MOF compiler could not connect with the WMI server. This is either because of a semantic error such as an incompatibility with the existing WMI repository or an actual error such as the failure of the WMI server to start. We  run the below commands but didn’t get any resolution & got the same above error .

1st Method…

1. Open console command (Run->CMD with administrator privileges).

2. net stop winmgmt

3. Rename folder %windir%System32WbemRepository to other one, for backup purposes (for example _Repository).

4. net start winmgmt

2nd Method..

1. Disable and stop the WMI service.

a) Command : - sc config winmgmt start= disabled

b. Command : -                 net stop winmgmt

DISTINCT To ShortDateString, Not DISTINCT To The DateTime; How?

May 8, 2006

Hello,
I have written a small asp.net application, which keeps record of the proposals coming from the branch offices of a bank in a tableCREATEd as a TABLE Proposals ( ID smallint identity(7,1), BranchID char(5), Proposal_Date datetime )
This app also calculates the total number of proposals coming from a specific branch in a given date bySELECTing COUNT(BranchID) FROM Proposals WHERE BranchID=@prmBranchID AND Proposal_Date=@prmDateand prints them in a table (my target table).
This target table has as many rows as the result of  the "SELECT COUNT( DISTINCT Proposal_Date ) FROM Proposals"and excluding the first column which displays those DISTINCT Proposal_Dates, it also has as many columns as the result of the"SELECT DISTINCT BranchID FROM Proposals". This target table converts the DateTime values ToShortDateString so that we are able to see comfortably which branch office has sent how many proposals in a given day.
So far so good, and everything works fine except one thing:
Certain DateTime values in the Proposals table which are of the same day but of different hours (for ex: 11.11.2005 08:30:45 and11.11.2005 10:45:30) cause some trouble in the target table,  where "SELECT COUNT( DISTINCT Proposal_Date ) FROM Proposals" is executed, because (as you might already guess) it displays two identical dates in ShortDateString form, and this doesn't make much sense (i.e. it causes redundant rows)
What I need to do is to get a result like (in a neat fashion :)
"SELECT COUNT( DISTINCT Proposal_Date ) <<DISTINCT ONLY IN THE DAYS AND NOT IN HOURS OR MINUTES OR SECONDS>> FROM Proposals"
So, how to do it in a suitable way?
Thanks in advance.

Profile, SQLDataSource And GridView

May 11, 2007

Hello. When I create a user at the ASP.NET database, I need to insert more fields than the defaults, and I do it like this:         Dim customProfile As ProfileCommon = ProfileCommon.Create(CreateUserWizard1.UserName, True)
customProfile.telephone =
(CType(CreateUserWizard1.CreateUserStep.ContentTemplateContainer.FindControl("TelephoneText"),
TextBox)).Text(telephone example)Those data are inserted at the DB at the aspnet_Profile table, in the fields PropertyNames & PropertyValuesString, but they are saved together (see image above)

I want to separate those properties in the GridView as long as each property appears in a column, is it possible? Thank you very much, i'm expecting your answers.

Profile Value + Sql Value, A Login Problem

Filter Query On Profile Property

Hello All, Can someone please help me with this problem.  I have created additional profile properties for my users in the aspnet_profile table.  One of the properties is named 'Division'.  The division property is how I segregate users, for example, my company has multiple divisions and, the information that is displayed is dynamic according to which divison the user belongs to. Amost all of my stored proceedures are filtered by checking the value of Profile.Division of the logged in user. This system works great.  The problem is, now I am working on user management and I need to create a Gridview that will display all of the users for a particular division but, I have no idea how to filter a query against the aspnet database to get the results I am looking for.  Here is a small example:SELECT     aspnet_Users.UserName, aspnet_Profile.PropertyNames, aspnet_Profile.PropertyValuesStringFROM         aspnet_Profile INNER JOIN                      aspnet_Users ON aspnet_Profile.UserId = aspnet_Users.UserId********   Here is the part I need help with *********************WHERE  PROFILE.DIVISION = KOr, can it even be done? Can you filter a query on the value of a profile property?Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in adavance for your help
