I am asking this question here, because it appears that I don't get as fast a response in reporting services as I do on this forum.
I am trying to add an extra parameter in a report title called SummaryBy.Value
Here is my current code:
="BY " & UCase(Parameters!SummaryBy.Value & IIF(Parameters!SummaryBy2.Value<>"", " / " & Parameters!SummaryBy3.Value,""))
If I add the extra parameter I get an error because of the IIf. How do I get around this to display all three parameters?

Feb 25, 2013When I run a report for a purchase order, the report duplicates records for product codes.For example the purchase order is: P000976, the report display the product code twice when it should only appear once. 45-5540 appears twice.

I've never attempted to use the "Repeat Report Item with Data Region on Every Page " feature before. I'm trying to use it on text boxes with the data region being a matrix. I have a report that is two pages, and the text boxes are only appearing on the first page. Also, the matrix is appearing with zero space between it and the header. Any ideas?

Reporting Services :: Report Builder Bubble Chart - Axis Title Disappears
Aug 20, 2015I have a bubble chart created with Report Builder 3.0. I have the Y-axis series is along the left side of the chart. When all X values are positive, everything displays normally. However, if any X-axis values are negative, the whole graph shifts slightly leftward and the Y-axis title is no longer visible. It seems to be overwritten by the shifted graph or simply pushed into nondisplay area.
Is there something I can do to make the chart stay put?
Multipage Report Repeat Header Not Showing Data From Page 2 Onwards

I am using reportitem to show the data in the header from a table cell.i see the values just on the first page, from second page onwards reportitems not showing the values at all.
I am getting the reportitems values from a tables header cell and also made the tables header cell's property checked repeat header in all pages.
Header is appearing but the values in reportitems are not populating from page 2 onwards.
i tried / used everything including inserting group header still i don't get it towork.
please help.......................

Jun 14, 2015Let's say I have an rdlc report for customers, and it has three sections with subreports:
CUSTOMER_INFO (name, phone, e-mail)
ITEMS
OBSERVATIONS
As the page only has 21cm and the report grows horizontally, I need to repeat the WHOLE report with all of its sections after every 4 customers. So if I have 5 customers, there would be three pages(let's say every subreport takes 1 page) for the first four customers, and then another three pages(with every section once again) just for one customer.
Is it possible? It doesn't seem somehing out of the ordinary, but I can't figure how to make it work. Everytime there is more than 4 customers, the report breaks its layout trying to accommodate the records in a new table below the tables of each subreport.
The expected result would be to bring all of exceeding data to new pages.

I prefer to implement both, a background color change and a title change. The reason for this is to clarify to end users which environment they are working with.
Where can I make those minimal changes in SSRS 2014.

Feb 13, 2005I have a table that is a very general layout so I can expand upon values later in the future easily. Basically it looks like this:

What I'm trying to do is create a stored procedure where I pass in a PlayerID and it will return a result set of

It doesn't appear that there's a way in SQL Server 2000 to SELECT a column AS a variable. I suppose I could go about creating a temporary table, but seems like an odd work around to get it to work. Any suggestions? Or am I just missing something obvious?

For each team grouping, the header columns needs to perform an action on the grouped records to determine the text.
The #Total# header is easy -- here I want a total of the points ( =Sum(Fields!Points.Value) ). No problem.
The #Loc# header is the problem. What I want to do is to count the number of "Home" values in the group (so Team 1 location reads "Home (2 of 6)", and Team 2 location reads "Home (3 of 5)"). If there are no "Home" values, I want to use the "Away" value (so Team 3 location reads "Away (2 of 2)").
Can someone tell me how I can create a custom code function that will allow me to iterate through the values of the grouped records from the group header textbox? I assume I need to be able to create a custom aggregate function of some kind, but I don't quite know where to begin.

Multi-line Chart Title

Is there anyway that I can have a multi-line chart title? I have even tried placing a text box over the title part of the chart that is multi-line, although this appears to work once the report is deplyed and viewed in a web browser the text box appears below the chart and the chart then has no title.
Please can you help?

I know If i have only one row i can give title in the textbox provided at the top of the Rows group area. But i have more than one row and group and more than one column group. i want to give title to all of them.
Without the title the report looks incomplete

Repeat On Each Page
Jun 26, 2007After finally overcoming a number of hurdles with LisaNicholls help, I've got one hurdle left that I can't seem to get around. A system I'm updating currently outputs attendance registers in HTML which is built using some complex ASP.NET code. To make this more manageable, I decided to try and handle this output in Reporting Services.
Whilst the output looks fairly inocious and simple, in theory it's been a nightmare to implement. Because it's inteded for print output, my intention was to output the report straight to PDF, however I'm encountering an issue trying to get some of the data to "repeat" on each of the PDF pages.
If you look at the following image; http://mparter.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/register_page.png, you'll see 4 main areas.
The problem areas are the red, green and blue ones.
The unmarked bottom section is a matrix which pages fine on PDF.
The TEXBOXES in the red area can possibly be worked-around by using report parameters.
The TABLES in the blue and green areas are the main problem. I can't include them in a report header workaround because there could be multiple rows per table
So, back to my question, how do I get the three marked coloured areas to repeat on each "page" of the PDF?

In a title of a column of a table, I put a too long text, with sorting, but when I spread (display) the report has a problem on text of the title of the column there.
The probleme settles (arises) when I activate the sorting to post (show) the image of sorting.

Questions On Matrix (Subtotal, Drillup And Title)

This maybe a very simple question but somehow I cannot find the way to do it.
1. How to delete Subtotal in Matrix by using Report Designer (Visual Studio).
It looks simple, but after I click on the Total and right click - delete. Somehow only the text "Total" being deleted and not the whole row. I still can see the grey cell in my matrix table
2. How to create link from the value in Total in Matrix
We can add the link in the Data via navigation and jump to another report by passing the parameter, but the Total value will follow whatever we have set in the Data. Which means that it will passing the parameter as well. How to enable the link via the Total value and remove all the previous filter and jump into my other report without any filter value ?
3. How to create drill up function in matrix ?
For example I have 2 Reports, 1st report is Region (AP, EMEA, US), 2nd Report is Country
When I click on 1st report and click on AP, it will open up another report and show country like Hongkong, Indonesia, Singapore
Now, I want to click on AP in 2nd report and going back to 1st report by showing all AP, EMEA, US.
When I click on AP in 2nd report, I am going to pass the parameter of Region there and still I want to show AP, EMEA, and US.
4. How to show the Title in Matrix ?
I cannot find a way to show the Field name as the title in the Matrix for column grouping. Anyone can help me ?
