Reporting Services :: Adding All Columns To Table Without Adding One By One

Is there any way or option to get the all columns of dataset added to table when we add a table in data region. It will take lot of time to add one by one and also there are chances to add one column ore than once.

I have a LIVE SQL 2000 database. I am trying to add some new columns to a table. My question is will I need to take the database off-line to perform this operation? I have replicated it to a sample table if I can't.

I have three tables.
Member(name, address, ID)
Loan(ID, startdate, amount)
Deposite(ID, startdate, amount)
I wanna create a report which look like this.
ID MembersName startdate address etc
Member can be either borrower or a depositor.
I'm thinking of using inner join. Can anyone help me to write the query?

I'm using Reporting Services Configuration tool to add the Reporting and ReportingTemb databases. Once the have been created, the tool attempts to upgrade the databases and can not create a script. This are the errors I see from the from the Reporting Services Configuration Tool after creating the databases:
! Verifing Database Version
The Database version (C.0.8.40) does not match your Reporting Services installation. You must upgrade your Reporting Services database.
! Creating upgrade script for database version C.0.8.40
ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.WMIProviderException: The version does not match a supported version.
at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.GenerateDatabaseUpgradeScript(String databaseName, String serverVersion, String& script)
I've reinstalled the entire SQL Server 2005 installation. As part of company installation precodure, SQL 2005 w/o Reporting Services is installed first, followed by SP1. I then perform the SQL Reporting Services installation add-on.

HI,
Is there an easy way to install reporting services on a machine that is already running sp1? When I initially isntalled Sql Server I did not install ssrs. Now, SP1 is installed and when I run the setup tool to install ssrs, it warns me regarding a "version change", presumablly because my media is not sp1, but RTM. Any ideas?

Dear Friends,
what is best and quicker way to add 500 columns to existing table having 145 columns already.
Is there any way to avoid manual work of adding columns one by one in design mode or using script.
I have a TXT file (comma delimited) that contains all those columns names as a first row,but I am not sure if i can use DTS package to create table design having such sourcre TXT file.
Any advice?

I want to add dates based on requirement
1) Date in db should be like this 01/15/14 or 06/15/14
2) Based on that dates I have to generate middle payment 02/01/14 - 11/01/14 or 07/01/14 - 11/01/14
3)Last payment 31/01/14
final results should be
1) 01/15/14 or 06/15/14
2)02/01/14 - 11/01/14 or 07/01/14 - 11/01/14
3)12/01/14
These results should come from one table and one column ...

I have a field on my report that uses the following expression to determine the commission amount for each order line. It works correctly to get the commission amount for each line, however, I need to get a total of the commission amount for each Salesperson.Â
My report is grouped in the following manner:
Salesperson, Type of Sale, Invoice Number, then the detail invoice line items (where the formula below reside). How can I get the totals for the Salesperson and the Type of Sale?

I am planning to add some new columns to an existing sql server 2012 table. I know that I need to use the alter statement to accomplish this goal. However my questions is the location of where I want to add the new columns to the table. It would make more sense to add the new columns to the middle of the table since these columns have a similar meaning as other columns in the middle of the table.
However is it better to add these new columns at the end of the table? I am asking this question since I am thinking I might need some sql to move the values of existing columns and values around?
Thus is it better to add new columns to a table in the middle of the table, at the end of the table, or at the end of the table? If so, why one location is better than another location?

When I add three columns to a table, they always go to the end of it.
I want to add a column as the third of the table, the second column that I want to add needs to be at the fifth place.

After adding cascading parameters my report which was running earlier is failing. I'm using Report builder 3.0, windows 2008r2, am running the report from the server
Error message "An error has occurred during report processing.(rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset 'LastName' (rsErrorExecutinGcOMMAND)
Incorrect Syntax near ','."
Is there a way where i can look up the code in xml using report builder or some other way so that i can delete the extra '','.

I typically use Report Designer, but I have a new project requiring Report Builder 3.0. In Report Designer (BIDS), I can take more complex expressions (ie SWITCH with 5 or 6 options), and put each pairing on a new line to be able to better read the code.
In the Expression Editor in Report Builder, pressing the ENTER key on my keyboard closes the Expression dialog box and saves the changes.
Is there any way to add line returns in the code to make it more readable? The expression editor wraps when it runs out of room, but this doesn't make it more readable, in some cases, it wraps in the middle of a field name, making it even less readable.
The 2012 version also has this same "feature".

I am creating a subscription to deliver reports via email on SSRS. Â One of the problems I am having is I can't add groups to the To: or Cc: fields for report distribution. Â I am able to add individual user email which works fine but it will be a lot of emails to add if I have to go that route. So how do you add groups to report subscriptions?

I've successfully created a column bar graph that shows the availability (0-100%) for a given site for each month YTD. I would like to have fixed lines added to the graph across all the columns at the 99.0 and 99.99% marks to show where we've reached and surpassed these key service levels.
I can't seem to find any examples on how to do this. The line drawing tool doesn't always line up with the graph correctly when it's displayed so I was looking for a data point at those levels.

I wouls like to have a custom button called "Set" in the report toolbar in addition to the "View Report" button. I am aware of the fact that the look and feel of the existing controls on the toolbar can be customised or can be hidden using HtmlViewer.css. Is there any code which I can tweak to add buttons or images on the report toolbar?

Is there a good way to add columns to a table type?
I built several procs which make use of table-valued-parameters, and they work pretty nicely, until I need them to accept additional columns. Then I have to drop all the procs that use them, alter the types, and rebuild all the procedures, which is a huge pain in the rear.
Is there any good way (built in, or custom) to alter the def of a table type that's used as a parameter to multiple stored procedures?

I want to create a report of our customers displaying the monthly sales totals and display the Quarter totals at the end of every third month, e.g.

I've created the report with the Quarter totals and the far right end, but I can place my finger on how to do it every three months.
My data exists in one table. Here is the query:

Hi
I created a new database called "TestReportServer" as mentioned in the installation instruction but I didn't
see (or could select) the option "Create the report server database in SharePoint integrated mode".
How can I select this option? Do I need to remove the reporing services and reinstall it again? Any suggestions?
After creating the database I get the error 'Some or all identity references could not be translated'.
The user I selected is a local administrator and has permission to all groups starting with wss.
I guess the database is not created as a sharepoint integration mode as I can start Server Management Studio
and see the database. Is that a correct assumption?
I hope somebody out there can help as I am strating to bang my head towards my desk right now :-)

I have a report which takes around 5 seconds when run in BIDS but takes around 20 seconds when deployed on report server.Execution log says TimeDataRetrieval is around 3-4 seconds and  rendering time is around 15-17 secs.From this report I am passing 8 parameters to a  drill through report and there are 36 text boxes where I have defined these parameters for drill through action.All these parameters are populated in main dataset.When I deployed the same report without any drill through action and parameter, it takes 5 seconds.So I am suspecting that because of drill through parameters report is taking more rendering time on server.I am using 2008R2 and IE11.
Is it expected behavior that due to so many parameters for drill through action, report will take more rendering time?If yes, then why is it not taking same time in BIDS?

I have created a custom library(CodeLibrary) which internally references the dlls Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client and Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client.
I added this custom Dll codelibrary.dll to my SSRS report. and the expression of one of the field asÂ
=codelibrary.codefunction.GetValue(1000) Â
codefunction is the class and GetValue is the method.
When I preview the report, I get the error "Error while loading code module:
'CodeLibrary,Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null'. Could not load file or assembly 'CodeLibrary,Version1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
I am using VS2013, I have placed the custom library DLL in the path
C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 12.0Common7IDEPrivateAssemblies
I have tested the custom library with a WPF application and it works fine.
I am not able to figure out what is causing this error.

We have an existing SSRS server, and have just created a new child domain. We'll be migrating users from the parent to the child, and want to add the users of that new domain with access to SSRS. In the parent domain they are able to access, but after migration with the child domain account, they cannot.
I have added the group CHILDDomain Users with a system user role on SSRS, and PARENTDomain Users was already there.
Is there any additional step I should/could take to get this active?

I'll go to a dataset, open up the query designer, add a new parameter, then refresh the fields, but the parameter won't be added as a report parameter. If I go to the dataset properties under the list of parameters, the value in the dropdown will be blank. However, sometimes this will automatically add.Â
Is this a bug in Visual Studio? How do I get around this?Â

I am quite new to the delights of SQL and wondered if some professional could suggest the best approach to tackling the following problem:
If I had the following table:

And I wanted to add and display a column that would display “best 3 total results�, such as:
